I have the error of “delayed return, apologies, etc” – I believe it comes from my situation, as I called the IRS and they just said “needs more time to process; no letters or notices are posted or have been mailed to you. Just wait.”.

My situation is as follows – Last year I filed married joint with one dependent whom I was supporting at the time but no longer am, as he is claimed by another family member of mine this year.. Now we had a child early last year and it turns out new babies of 2021 are in fact eligible for the $1400 stimulus check. TurboTax asked how much was received and stated we were eligible for $4200. We received $4200, however, we technically were eligible for $5600 due to my daughter not being the same person as my dependent last year. Due to this, I modified my stimulus received field to $2800 – this caused the field on my 1040 titled “Recovery Rebate Credit” to populate with the amount of $1400, which is what I am owed given my circumstances. IRS said this could throw a flag and make it get reviewed until they realize the two dependents aren’t the same person and I am not trying to claim an already received credit.

Entire situation is goofy and quite unfortunate. If anyone else is in this situation, please let me know if you’ve received any updates yet or refunds.

@antsymomof4 did u pay ur fees upfront with TurboTax or did u have to pay SBTPG and then they sent u ur refund? Ppl are saying SBTPG is charging ppl who didn’t get an advance an extra $40 for a 1st refund transfer fee on top of the $40 processing fee.

Filed 1/21 accepted 1/21 I’m a WEEKLY with an 05 cycle EITC only transcript had an AS OF DATE of 2/21 then came the wait then Drop PATH message 2/16 Transcript finally updated EARLY on 2/18 and the “as of date” moved from 2/21 to 3/7 with 846 code showing up with a 2/24 ddd next day 2/19 WMR updated 2 bars and all ddd info same. Fees will be taken out along with my advance and I bank with BOA my question is anyone have any knowledge or prior experience of getting there deposit earlier than the ddd they
already have?

Just an FYI…. My Kid has a DDD of 02-22-2022 but he received his full Direct Deposit yesterday (02-19-2022).

Nearly everyone even if you paid your fees up front and have the CK card, will be waiting until the night of 2/23 or even 2/24 to get a deposit because SBTPG is taking out a random fee and that’s gonna hold everything up.

No, it isn’t an extra $3,000.. the child tax credit is $3000 for kids older than 6, $3600 under 6. They gave out half the credit as payments last year and planned to let us get the other half at tax time. If you opted out then you would get both halves, but not an extra $3000. Also, it would have been calculated already when you did your taxes, it’s not something they’ll just add on to your refund after you file.

I use serve every year and each year ( with the exception of this year) my Day always falls on Wed for deposit most years I would have it that Friday night but sometimes I would have to wait for treasury to open back up and then. I would get it that Sunday night. With that being said it’s possible they didn’t receive your refund notification before the cut off and now there’s a holiday so it should post Monday evening when treasury starts processing again at 8pm

If you did not receive the 6 monthly installments, then yes you should get that money on your tax return. But you have to make sure you verify that you did not receive those payments when you do your taxes. You should have received a letter from the IRS verifying you did not receive the early payments are due to the credits.

So people are complaining because they won’t get they’re refund until THE ACTUAL day irs says based on the fact that IRS says you would get your refund by certain date there is no lawsuit to be had all you can do is go with another tax preparer like JH that charge you 500 to 600 if not more and you get your refund early but have to pay more than a measly 40 dollar fee

My sister and I have the same date 2/24 and she has not received any thing from Jackson Hewitt yet. I however have been a faithful H&R block customer for years. Hang tight it’s coming. Next year i will be going to another tax site and pay fees UPFRONT i would gave gotten mine even with an offset on Thursday latest Friday so now because of this stupid holiday weekend i wont see it till Tuesday which is my actual DD. I have a DDD of 2/22 The IRS released my money on Wednesday and I had an offset that they took out prior to SBTG getting my refund so it delayed it by a day but they got it on Thursday and then Friday it updated to funded and i was waiting like everyone else friday night for it to hit my chime account it said sent 2/18 so i know it was sent but chime claims they don’t see any incoming or pending deposits

Yeah I wouldn’t count in it any sooner. Their holding our refunds. Someone yesterday called and they told him between 2-24 and 3-1.. I’ve seen people claiming they didn’t even get theirs on the ddd and the irs told them the funds were released. I’m definitely never going thru sbtpg ever again for the simple fact that they lie and claim they don’t hold and their clearly holding!! It’d be different if we knew up front that they didn’t deposit early!

I spoke to an H&R Block agent that actually knew the location of Jimmy Hoffa! She actually said they’re going to hold the refunds for an extra week just to verify everything. Jackson Hewitt actually just hands people cash when they leave the office. They don’t even wait for your refund to be accepted. If you send a tweet about Jackson Hewitt they’ll send you $50…… That’s what I’ve heard. Come on just because somebody says they talked to somebody doesn’t mean they did.

On this year’s tax return I claimed my niece that I take care of as a dependent and was told I should amend my 19/20 returns to add her on them. I just wanted to make sure that’s ok and if I should wait until I’ve had my current refund deposited before amending the older ones. This year has already been approved and got a DDD for 2/24. I’m honestly just paranoid that it would cause some random type of delay if I go ahead and do it.

Changes were made to your refund for most….some will update most will have 570 and 971 code on their transcripts. Credits for your dependent were re calculated so some may see a increase or decrease in their refund.
