I’m just waiting for IRS to respond they have one week to respond and release my funds… Praying I get my money next week!!! TA has been helping since 2/11 Good luck to you!!!!@Carmen
I submitted all requested info that my TA asked for last Friday…. I know she was out of the office last Friday and Monday for the holiday…. I kept seeing how these people would call and find out that something else was wrong with their return…so I got scared and called IRS they told me that my advocate had take over so I would have to to speak with them…. This was Tuesday……so yesterday I called my advocate and left a message just waiting to hear back to see what she says!!!!! Good luck and I hope that you will see an update soon.I think that the IRS is only updating with DDD on Saturday…This whole thing is a mess!!!!!
I know I’m not getting updated tomorrow…. When I called them on Friday (IRS) they told me they didn’t see a DDD….Smmfh!!!

I called to see if the IRS would was going to tell me something different…… She only told me that a tax advocate had taken over my account!!!!! Thank God! I called Friday and they only told me that my account was in review!!! So today it showed in the system that my TA had taken over lol…. But yea just wait for the call back and I bet they give you a fax number to send all that info in…. I’m wishing you the best!!!! And I hope things work out for all of you!!!!@Dom
Are you really going to take that??? She told you not to call back so your not going to???? I would be blowing up their phones everyday!!!!! WTF!!!! She only gave you a mailing adress she couldn’t even give you a fax number so you can get it to them quicker????are you serious!!!! That is your money and I would be calling every dang day asking about it…….I would be calling back how dare she tell you not to contact them again????!!!!@Dom I ordered my return transcripts as well but it has not came yet…. I ordered that on 2/5 I wonder what is says on that one!!!!!!

Call the advocate line back… You will not get the same person!!! I made them give me a case number you have to be VERY persistent!!!!! Demand answers!!!!! Get on there asses they will give in eventually!!!!@Dom
Look at the previous post that I just put up….. I just recieved my account transcripts in the mail too…..smmfh!!!!Just some new info you the people that have been following my post…. I recieved my account transcripts in the mail and it had a date of 2/15!! So I called and and what does the dates on the transcripts mean and she told me that the date mean that was the week my return should have been DDD but since my return was held for random review I should disregard that date….. Just a heads up in your account is held in review and you received a date on them that’s week that the return should have been dd and closed for the year!!!

If it’s been longer than 21 days they should be able to tell you something….. I’ll tell you one thing I would be on the phone demanding answers they are holding your money but are not telling you why????SMMFH!!!!they sure take those taxes out your check every week and they don’t put a hold on that!!! Yea everything is fine with your return they have finished processing your return….. They are just holding your money until they get done doing whatever they have to do with your taxes…… Smh!!!!!Ha @texasgirl your mad…. And it’s funny you can say whatever you want Idc….. Let me ask you something….. Was your return held for review???Didnt think so!!! As a few ppl have pointed out from the post that i put up they are going through the exact same thing as me!!!! You swear you know everything about every question that someone ask…. And you don’t!!!!!! That’s right you know everything and no one better dare call you out….. Please!!!! You are so negative!!! Like I said I’m not mad at anyone…. I’m just keeping it real!!

Yea TA’s are not working today and if you left a message they have 3 business days to get back to you. They can pull up your account info and tell you exactly why your return is in review and what the IRS is requsting or if you need to send in any additional info…..IRS might not even send you a letter they will prob just release your funds after 30-45 days w/o and explanation…. But u just couldn’t take that chance I need my money!!! But I wish you luck and I do hope that you receive the answers that your are looking for!!!! Hopefully they don’t keep us all waiting for to long!!! Good luck.@waiting
Thank you what I have been saying all along if you have a hold on your account for random review then your return will have a delay….just because you can order your return transcripts does not mean you will be getting your refund writhin a few days….. I do wish you luck and hopefully we won’t be waiting much longer for our refunds…@calmdown
I’m not sure about the who adress thing, but if you were selected for random review them it was probably just random….. But who know??? My return is also being held for random review…. I’ve been able to order my return transcripts since 2/5 and I still don’t have a due date and I haven’t received anything in the mail. And I have no code on wmr… Good luck!! They need to tell you if your adress was they reason bc if it is you could quickly fax something over with your new adress so they can hurry and release your funds…. I hope everything work out for you.@Amanda H
Yes they told me that I was under review…. But could not tell me why? But eventually I got my answers and got to the bottom of it.@TonyC
Did you know that if they owe you money from last year that they have to pay interest on that!?? Lol I would sure be asking them how much interest they have paid on the money you were owed last year….. Hehe!!!!@Dom and @TonyC
Yes they requested a copy of my w-2….it was random from what I was told. IRS has one week to respond to my TA to have my funds released.Look I’m not mad at anyone I’m just saying when I couldn’t find any answers….. Before my 21 days were up no one this form could help so I’m just trying to help others out that might be going through the same thing because when it was happening if felt that I was the only one with this specific problem.

Yes they told me the same thing they told me that I was selected for random review….. So I contacted my local TA and she told me exactly why they were holding my account and it was because of income verification… Was told to fax over the requested information. Have you tried to get a TA to speed up your process??@texasgirl
Nobody is frustrated but you your upset because I said something to you about giving people the wrong information about “refunds that are in review” that information is not correct….. Your giving them false hope thinking they they will get their money….. Then when it comes down to it they don’t!!!!@texasgirl
Why are you so mad I never disrespected you I never called you out of your name!!!! And yes if your return is being held for REVIEW there is a delay on your return!!!!! And yes we will see IF you get a DDD by Saturday….. Smh!!!! I didn’t say anything about ID verification because I don’t know anything about that!! But if your return has been selected for random review I know because I’m in the same situation….was your account held for further review??? If not then how would you know??? How can you give advice about it? Nobody is attacking you I’m just stating my opinion….. If your return has been selected for revivew it could take up to 30-45 days to recieve your refund from the day you filed….. I know it happend to me…. I don’t have any offsets and I never recieved any letters and my tax topic never changed from 152….. They told me that they didn’t see any letters going out for me either… But if they told you that they did send a letter out then that means that they are needing additional info from you…. That will be provided in the letter that was mailed…. If they are not giving you straight answers find someone who will give them hell if you have too…. I know first hand because this happend to me and I demanded answers!!!!@texasgirl

Contact your local TA they can pull up your return and tell you everything and why your return is being held and if they will need any additional info…. It’s what I did!!! My return is being held because it has been selected for further review…. I never received a letter my code never changed from tax topic 152. When I spoke with the IRS they told me they didn’t see any letters going out to me either….. And I’ve been able to order my return transcripts since 2/5 and I still don’t have a DDD…. You didn’t do anything wrong you return has processed they are just holding your money!!!!! Look you can sit back and wait to weeks if you want to but I was calling and getting answers and if the IRS can’t give them to you and I would find somebody who will….. They have you money frozen and can’t tell you why??? Please you need to call you local TA immedeitly and get help that what I did I faced over the requested info…. And she is helping get the processed moved along!!!! I got a very nice TA that is very helpful and I’m greatful to have her….. She answered every question that the IRS couldn’t…. Told me why they were holding my account and what I needed to fax to her to get the process moved along quickly… Now you can’t sit back and wait two weeks for them if you want the choice is yours….. After two weeks what I’d they need additional info??? You will still be stuck waiting for them to release your funds????? Demand answers who tf are they to hold our money that we’ve worked all year for!!!!@Dusty

Your refund could possibly be held for further review. I was able to order my return transcripts on 2/5 and I still don’t have a DDD. My return was held for further review. Your return is done processing they are just holding your return until they review it!!smh….I called my local TA and got help immedeitly.my tax topic never changed from 152 and I never recieved a letter@Elizabeth738 it’s nothing you did, you didn’t do anything wrong….they told me that it could take up to 30-45 days to recieve your refund! And if there is any additional info they may need it could be another 6 weeks. I called a tax advocate ASAP! To help me speed along the process…. My refund was held up do to income varifacation.
@bubbles yes it’s true if you can order return transcripts and you do not have a DDD…. Then they have randomly selected your return for review this happend to me so I know first hand what I’m talking about …..I was never notified, and my tax topic never changed. I called and that’s how I found out…. Smh your return is done processing they are just holding your money!!!! After finding that out I contacted a TA that was willing to help me and told me to fax over the requested information…..so she is helping me move along in the process to get my funds released.

I have answered this question 3/4 times today so here it is for the last time….. Yes you can order return transcripts and still be under review! This happend to me 2/5 I was able to order return transcripts but I did not recieve a DDD. I called IRS on Tuesday I was told that I was under random review! And was told it could possibly take 30-45 days for me just to recieve a letter stating this then it would be another 6 weeks to have my funds released IF they needed me to send it additional info! I immediately called my local TA who was really nice and helpful and didn’t ask me for proof of hardship. Was told to fax in copy of w-2…. Because my return was being held for income verification. I have a TA that is helping me move along the process….. So my advice is call the IRS immediately to see what’s going on with your account if it’s been more than 21 days….if they are telling you bs call your local TA and get help that’s what they are there for!!!!!! For everyone who will be getting and update on Saturday congratulations in advance!!! Hopefully I’m not to far behind you all… Peace.
@jen yes you can still order your return transcripts and be under review…… Your return is processed they are just holding for further review. This happens to me I ordered my return transcripts 2/5 still don’t have a DDD…. Called tues was told I was under review I called my local TA immedeitly to get help and they having me moving along in the process.

Selected for review….. This is so irritating!!!!! TO THE PEOPLE ON HERE STILL COMPLAINING ABOUT MOT RECIEVING YOUR MONEY A DAY EARLY SHUT UP ATLEAST YOU KNOW YOU ARE GETTING IT UNLIKE THE REST OF US WHOSE RETURS ARE BEING HELD UP…….Y’all are really on here mad because you didn’t get your money 1 day early!!!!! Be greatful there are MANY OF US OUT HERE WITH DELAYED RETURNS!! So be happy Dang at least you know you will be getting your money unlike the rest of us who are still waiting on a DDD!!!! WE ARE TRYING TO FIND ANSWERS!!!!
I wish they would go ahead and release my funds I really don’t understand why they have my account under randomly selected review….. I ordered my transcripts so I know my return in done processing!!!!!! So why are they still HOLDING MY MONEY!!!!!!! Makes no since….I prob won’t ever get my taxes…smh
Yea @carmen they told me oh you will see your refund 30-45days after you recieve your letter…. But some reps told me they didn’t even see one SMH they said I was randomly selected is that was they told you…… There sure are a lot of people that have been randomly selected and had to verify their identity….sad
@carmen and @texasgirl I have been able to order my return transcripts 2/5 still no DDD so idk how true it is when you say you have yet to see someone be able to order a return transcripts and and not get a DDD they also told me that my account was being held for further review……smh

That is the exact thing that happend to me the exact I filed on the 14th as well…… Just filed with a different company….. And yes to all the people who revived their DDD BE GREATFULat least you know your money is coming!!!!!!! Unlike others who STILL HAVE TO WAIT!!!!!so stop complaing!!!!@Mekia I filed on the 14th and still have not got my Refund or a DDD!!! So that’s nothing and to all these people on here complaing about not getting you refund a few days early who cares at least you got your DDD so be greatful for that dang who cares if it comes a day late at least you know your getting it unlike the rest of us who are still waiting for ours to even be approved!!!!!
I think it’s funny how all these people are being told to verify identity and some peoples accounts are being held for further review and they are not giving us any explanation….. I will be calling my tax advocate first thing in the morning to get my tax refund pushed through!!!!! We can’t tell them that we don’t want our money taken out of our checks every other week but they hold up our tax refunds like we don’t need our money whatever I’m beyond ticked off and I’m over all this b.s I’ve lost all hope!!!!!

I’m so mad right about now I call the irs they say my taxes are being held in review and I should recieve a letter, everything had been the same from the previous year!!!! They can’t tell my why or if the letter has already been sent!!!! Call the people who did my taxes and they said that they didn’t see anything wrong with them!!!!! So why are my taxes being held for further review!!! I’m so mad idk what to do!!! I’ve been able to order my return scince 2/5 tax topic 152 never went away….. But bars disappeard I’m so done I’ve all hope!!!
I still have no DDD I filed the 1/14 and was able to order return transcripts on 2/5 Bars still gone with Tax topic 152 getting fustrated!!!!
