@Jennifer I got my stimulus check and currently on unemployment with the extra stimulus money (the extra 600 technically 540 after irs taxes it once again) but I still have not got a refund finally got a case from a tax advocate though. They are supposed to call me back by Monday.

See I got my stimulus just fine and the verified my kids on that somehow because I got the 500 a child that’s what confuses me about them verifying everyone’s kids and credits on their refund. They literally have to do that on stimulus already and the irs is dealing with those just perfect but not my refund. So it don’t make since

I really don’t know what to do but I don’t know when they are lying or ain’t lying. I just keep hoping another advocate calls and I can get more info on what I can maybe send in they said they haven’t sent any more letters out to me so I don’t know if that is good or bad.

The only thing about saying we are about to be homeless is then they would want proof of eviction notice. How long after your 60 days did you get the notice that you were getting refund.

I have never had a problem filing my kids I been filing them since I been doing taxes. Then he looked over it he said i looked over your wages. I don’t see a problem with your wages at all. He said what your waiting on is the tax credits you claimed they are really behind on anyone who claimed any tax credits. So no mine are not work related everything that I filed for the companies I worked for was on there. He didn’t see a problem with it.

The tax advocate that called when he first answered and got into my account he said it was for a wage review. He asked me a few questions about where I worked and for what companies. I told him everything. He looked over it and said what was your filing status I stated head of Household then he proceeded to ask about how many kids their ages stuff like that. Asked if I ever had a problem claiming them I said no and I have not ever had a problem I been claiming them since I been filing.

Has anyone else here claimed kids or head of household that has gotten their refund I would like a little glimmer of hope. I don’t understand how they say they can’t process them without being able to get in the office that they are working from home. Uhhh other people are getting theirs processed. Make sure you can do everything that you can do in office at home before you put all your workers out of work to keep all of us workers money!!

Finally tax advocate called back and they told me anyone who filed and claimed any kind of credits like earned income tax credit or child tax credit that they were super behind on those because the IRS couldn’t get in to the office to process. Basically the advocate said straight up he couldn’t do nothing but monitor my account. Just to wait a little longer. 🤬 completely pointless.

I really don’t understand it all. It’s like they had this whole time to get stuff fixed before the nation got shut down. But yet they can send out stimulus checks in less than a week of announcing. All I want is an answer of if I need to do anything.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate the advice. And I hope someone calls me back too. As I pray that everyone here gets what they need to get the ball rolling or gets an answer to what the hold up is on everyone’s refund is.

Can someone please reply to me I have called 3 tax advocates and left messages and no one has replied yet. And emailed my congressman I don’t see how it’s working for everyone else but not me. Everything is closed down. How is people getting a hold of anyone. I can’t get a hold of anyone I don’t know what the heck is going on. When I called the irs when they was open they said you had to be appointed a tax advocate.

New here. My 60 day review is up tomorrow. Is anyone else having problems with the IRS2Go app or where’s my refund tool. Where’s my refund tool says currently unavailable please try again later. And the IRS2Go app says error make sure the refund amount entered is correct or something like that but it’s the same thing I have been putting in all the time to check on both of the tools.
