@Taxtrastify, not necessarily a bad thing. Your processing date has nothing to do with when your return will finish processing or when your refund will be issued. I have seen so many theories on the processing date indicating a refund, but really it has nothing to do with it.
I filed 01/31. Usually, MS state tax refund is approved within a few days. As of yesterday, I still had the generic 90 day review message. Then I saw I had a letter from them dated 02/05. It was NOT to verify identity. It was to verify that I filed the return. Went to return verification, entered my SSN, code they sent me, and refund amount. As of last night, my refund has been approved and they are sending a letter. If I don’t have the letter in 7-10 days to call them. Has anyone else gotten this message? I’m assuming it will not go DD now, like I requested.
