Last year WMR didnt update, i had money deposited 5 day after filing. Hoping for the same luck this year.

Mine updated and said processed as well, so I called them and they informed me that I had an offset. You might want to call and just check to see if you have an offset by chance.

I filed through TT on 1/7 and was accepted by irs on 1/11 still only on first bar on the WMR tool and got the same song and dance from the irs about the 21 day and them not actually starting until the 19th.. No offsets on my SS#… No pending deposits in my bank account.. But then again I have two deposits going on 2/1 for sure because I have the paystubbs prooving it… But they are not showing.. So I am just going to keep praying that I’ll get. Y refund soon.. I’ve always filed early and never have had any trouble.. Never again..

@Kim – a few comments down i wrote a long post talking about a few cycle charts i found for this year that are supposedly out of the IRS manual. basically its like WMR behind the scenes. ill copy and paste it for you :

PRODUCTION dates for cycle 4 are Thursday, 1/21 to Wednesday, 1/27 POSTING dates for cycle 4 are Friday, 1/22 to Thursday 1/28 For this year, cycles 1-3 are dead POSTING cycles, There are no dead cycles for PROCESSING AND PRODUCTION cycles. So today is the first day an individual return could POST Returns received in PRODUCTION Cycles 1, 2 and 3 will attempt to POST during POSTING Cycle 4 (1/22 to 1/28) *this is taken from the manual So, if you are Processed daily, the 1st possible POSTING date will be today (business returns were 1 week ago) The 1st POSTING day for weekly accounts is 1/28.

SO.. with all that being said maybe there is still hope for a wmr update for us whoever is in cycle 4 for processing tomorrow morning to that 2nd bar.

I saw a sign today that the tax place inside Walmart offers the $750 advance. They will probably charge you a high fee along with high tax prep fees for the advance. Years ago my friend did the advance thing and the fee was really high.

Awful experience. I went to a tax agency a few years back just on the fact that they would give me a cash advance, I could have used TurboTax to I needed the money right away. Not only did the agency’s application for the cash advance in my name deny me they charged me $400 and they messed up on my state return forcing me to pay another company to fix it. when I wanted to speak to the owner of the franchise the manager said it was up for discussion to give that information out and refused to tell me who the owner was. not recommended.

For the people wondering if their wmr didn’t update, call your bank and ask if you have a pending deposit. They can see AT LEAST 24 hours before you get a deposit. I didn’t have anything pending :(

if i don’t see my 2nd bar tomorrow then i give up googling all this stuff. and i actually called the IRS 2 separate times yesterday. the first lady told me she wasn’t able to pull up any of my information before 21 days. so i hung up and called back and the 2nd lady pulled up my info just fine and told me i was processing. id say 80% of the IRS clearly is just lazy and doesn’t want to work so maybe thats whats holding up our money.. lol

Today was the first day Santa Barbara Bank even showed my information, yesterday when I put in my information it said not found. so if I don’t see any notifications about an offset letter, and there is no collection agency listed on my account does that mean I’m in the clear? I didn’t receive a letter, to the best of my knowledge, either. My debt has been in default since mid2014. I attempted to rehabilitate it, but was not able to complete payments after being on time for the required 9months and have not been contacted about my debt since. Thanks for the info!!

Yes the healthcare/ no insurance 600 dollar penalty is an offset. But there is a phone number to call to see if you have any offsets. Just google the phone number and you will enter your info and it will let you know if they found anything

I just spoke with one lady who told me nobody has gotten their returns or been approved when my friends sister got hers this morning an had a ddd of 1/29 an has been approved since 1/21 so yea ppl are randomly gettin approved an I basically argued with her bein I’ve seen it myself. Idk but I’ve seen the screenshots with names an balance accounts an I don’t believe anything she said but hey she works there not me so until I get a text/email I’ll be clueless.
