So I hear IRS must pay interest on your late refund if exceeds past 45 days of April 15 deadline to file. I wonder if because the deadline was extended to July 15 technically the Irs wouldn’t owe interest unless exceeds 45 days past July 15 deadline. Does anyone have any insight on this matter?
My fiancé filed taxes 02/02/2020, received 60 day review letter dated 02/17/2020. 60 days are up and still no updates. We received stimulus check a week ago but are awaiting federal return.
