Still no acceptance for me or my motherinlaw…..I have never had it take this longer for simply accepting it (the most its ever taken has been a few hours). Should I call the IRS?
I filed mine and my mother-in-laws through HR Block online yesterday at 630am still not accepted, I filed my daughter’s the 18th and hers got accepted yesterday. Anyone else file yesterday and not get accepted yet?
also i never really check my tax refund, i normally check my account as normal to find more money in it than i thought. last year had dd of like 2/3 or 2/5 from the 21 day generic timeline cant remember exactly, but i got it in january. so i would expect if your audit likelihood is low, and you took the standard deduction instead of itemizing you would receive your return faster those that itemized. also in the past the irs processes returns by the last 4 of your social so 0010 would be processed before 9100, if precedence holds true. not first in first out, which probably would explain why some of you who filed earlier than others still havent gotten approved yet while others filing later have. just my two cents. ive been preparing taxes electronically for 15 years.
for those of you wondering how to do a screenshot on a windows pc its very easy. hold windows key and press the prt scr button, voila. screenshot. so no excuses to those lying trolls. you can find the screenshot via pictures\screenshots in your quick access. also the prt scr button is usually at the top right of the keyboard next to scroll lock.
Just a note to all of HR Block people, I filed at HRBLOCK.com on 01/18/2016, as of this morning still not even an accepted. I called the 800 number and as soon as i got off the phone i got updated to accepted.
last year i believe irs wmr updated overnight on wednesdays. hopefully we’ll see an update in the morning
i did my taxes with turbo tax online efile. on 1/15 was accepted 1/19 still at one bar wth!!! when do they update? i was praying for a deposit the 22nd but guess its going to be the 29th
So I filed my taxes and have health insurance through my employer. I just got a form from the Marketplace (1095-A) saying I had insurance through them.
On my tax return I checked I had insurance all year not through the healthcare exchange. While I did apply for coverage I never got it through the Marketplace.
Just wandering what effect this will have on my taxes/refund.

DDD: 0/00/0000I filed using a IP pin for three years straight and each time it took me three to four months to get my refund.

If you requested to have your refund credited to your bank it wil not. However if you requested the use of a netspend card or something then it will through another bank.
Alot of people have been accepted. But the actual irs has not issued any refunds and will not for at least 1 more week. Accepted and approved are 2 completely different things. Nobody in texas has been approved.
Just so all of you don’t feel mis lead by a bunch of crap. Turbotax has announced today a few have been approved and nobody has a date for direct deposit. So anyone saying anything different is full of crap and is just trying to make the rest of you ansy for your checks. Be patient irs is in full swing. Give it 2 more weeks and by then 50% of you will have your money.
Last year no one got approved until that Sunday morning. I don’t anticipate any different this year. It’s the same cycle as last year. Tuesday after the holiday the IRS opens and DDD that weekend for deposits the next Friday

Did you attempt to call 800-304-3107? The system will update around 6am EST tomorrow (Wednesday).

Toya, are you sure that the letter came from the IRS and that it is not a scam? Call the IRS, not the number listed on any letter you got in the mail. They will tell you what you need to know. As everyone’s tax situation is different, it is impossible to gauge whether they will be amicable or not. If it is a legitimate offset, the IRS can and will seize your return. If your return was direct deposited, they can debit or freeze your bank account to satisfy the outstanding balance. As I stated earlier, it would be best to contact the IRS as it is impossible to determine or guess as to what the outcome may be.

Just a reminder, the IRS will only contact you via mail. If someone calls/emails etc. you claiming to be the IRS, it is a scam. Be smart, and if you aren’t completely sure it never hurts to double check.

You can file at any time with a 1098, schools have until Feb 15th to get you that form. You can also contact the schools registrar or business office to obtain this. Please note, they are not required to supply you with this form until the 15th, however they may as a courtesy.
Hello everyone. My wife and I got filed this evening. Had a kid this last year and bought a house so I expect it to take a little time. I have been on this site for a while and am pretty familiar with how this works. If anyone has any questions, let me know and I will do my best to help answer them. Is it true Brian that irs.gov updates daily or should I say during the times that you can’t check online? Also do they only direct deposit on Friday or is it on Wednesday and Fridays? I remember years ago I got mine on a Wednesday.
I filed the 11th and got accepted the 13th and got one bar at this time. But their are 2 people saying that got a ddd for the 22nd but I don’t think it will be to the 29th the first ddd so lets see what happens it would be nice to get it then but I don’t see it happening.
I do believe that tonight people might start seeing ddd. irs.gov will do updates from 3:30 to 6am so lets see what people say tomorrow about ddd but I think it will be the 29th. Last year the first ddd that was on the charts was the 2-6 and I got mine the friday before but I was accepted early last year to the first day last year I think was the 20th. So I am thinking because of that it will be the 29th at least I am hoping it will be then but it would be really nice to get it this friday the 22nd but I don’t see that happening that quick.
I believe so Desiree because someone asked her to snapshot a picture of it so that people would believe it and she kept commenting but has ever showed proof of the dates she has said.
I am by no means endorsing this as fact but it is yet another guess when DD will hit. Mine says Thursday. I wonder if I check it Thursday if “April’s fools” or something similar will pop up.
@Tarah, the good news is those not accepted are usually immediate also. For some reason they are taking longer this year.
