Hello,
I’ve been reading this everyday but I decided to post today. I filed on 1/25 and I’ve been on “It’s being processed” status for a month and a half now. I called IRS bc I didn’t receive any letters. They told me the same “nothing you can do, we have to validate your information”. I decided to call the local TA. I didn’t have to wait too much on hold. He has been very nice and explained me I reported more than what the W2 shows. (i filed with my last paystub – big mistake because I have some non-taxable income). He explained me that after the 60 days, if the IRS couldn’t verify my wages, they are going to send me a letter asking for documents or an amended return. He said I have to amend and to send him the amended return. It can take up to 4 weeks. So I am here davating. Not sure if I should go ahead and amend or just wait but I reported $5,000 more on my tax return and he said if I wait, it can take up to three months or more to receive my refund. :(
