I filed via FreeTaxUSA on 2/2/22. I got the update that my DDD is 2/9/22. This is the FASTEST that I have ever seen refunds sent. I guess the IRS is under pressure because they had to pay out millions because they were late refunding tax returns in 2020 and 2021. I guess they didn’t want to have to pay out penalties again.
Question Did you fax your letter to the IRS Commissioner or overnight the demand for payment letter? I would like to send mine today. Do you have the address or the fax? I have the same situation sorry TA and Congress as well.

I FINALLY got a DDD for 6/17. Only after I got the runaround from the TA and my congressman (who is USELESS!). I only received my DDD after I sent a Demand for payment letter to the IRS Commissioner.
I just heard from my TA. She stated that they have FINALLY processed my return (I filed electronically on 2/6/2020). My transcript has only been updated with an “as of” date of 6/8/2020. I am seeing some posts that the IRS is sending returns with interest attached. Is this true? Are they applying interest to the withheld returns?
