@grace didn’t mean it like that i was just trying to be a clown cause it was funny. it was just funny because that made like 1 person out of a thousand other people claiming that they haven’t received theirs but your co worker claim to have gotten hers. it just seemed a little unrealistic. i know people who have personally talked with the irs and they told them no one with any of those credits will be getting their returns until after the 15th. no deposits wont even be deposited in any one’s bank account until the week of the 27th. they told my wife they’ll start giving ddd on the 18th of this month and the disappearing bars after the 15th were done automatically by their system to everyone with that path message. so if your co worker received a return on the 15th after filing those credits it must be a inside job lol. its the law, not a maybe.

yeah no worries your back where they left off at. watch how quick you get your ddd. i felt the same way last year. i was so worried about the 9 weeks til it made me get a tax advocate the next day. the very same day she got assigned to my case she looked up my info and was like their done processing it. i was like not possible, and she said yeah possible. she told me at anytime i should see a ddd. a week later it was their. so trust me you have nothing to worry about

hell no it doesn’t take 9 weeks. i had to verify last year. after verifying within a week i received my ddd. after verifying i said to my self the same thing, 9 weeks is crazy. so i called back and asked about the 9 weeks and i end up speaking with a more humble and honest rep. she told me the 9 weeks thing is what they are trained to tell us. she said its not gonna take that long. she told me she’s heard of people getting their ddd no later then a couple weeks. the next week later i so call happen to get my ddd. so just to give you comfort, you’ll get it within a week or so. im not just speaking of me but last years several others in my situation claimed to get theirs in the same time frame as i got mine.

dont know the answer to that one, never heard of that happening. normally when your able to order that means they are done processing. in your case though, you said your bars are missing. are you getting the path message when you check your status? if not and you just have missing bars it means your flagged, possibly for identity theft.

@Teetee my bad for not explaining well enough what i was trying to say. when i say their being flagged i was talking about the missing bars. transcripts will be available once their done processing it, but if you cant that means their just not done. if you cant order them and you have the missing bars, that means its a reason why its not done processing. because of the fraud that’s been going on allot of random people been getting flagged. i don’t know how they make their picks but i was one of them last year. i kept trying to order my transcripts but they were not available. i had to wait 21 days before they could tell me why my bars were missing and why i couldn’t order my transcript. i kept seeing people say that it meant i was flagged for id theft and to just call the id theft hot line, verify my id and get it out the way. they said if i did it’ll be processed a day or 2 later but i didn’t listen. so after 21 days i called the number to verify my identity, a day later i was able to order transcript like people told me. the day after that i had a DDD. so if your smart and want your money on time, you’ll learn from my mistake and just call and verify it. all your troubles will go away, trust me.

@Angela yes once your able to order transcript that means they are done processing your return and it should be on the next cycle. also i don’t think the IRS opens on Saturdays and Sundays, they probably got done processing it that same day you verified and scheduled for it to be updated that Saturday morning. Saturday morning had to be the day your transcript was available to order and you didn’t know it until today. its no way possible this morning could of been the day it was made available, they don’t update on Sundays. they have to be in the office the day before in order to send a hard update. the 24th is on Wednesday, i doubt you’ll be on that cycle because i don’t think i seen yet where they give a ddd 2 days before the ddd. im curious to find out tho, and i hope you prove me wrong with a update. if im right, then you’ll catch the next ride after the 24th. whatever date that will be

@Why so angry you are a hypocrite. you on here telling people to be patient but you remember the day you filed all the way til the day your bars went missing. sounds like to me you been checking it everyday almost, but you telling people to be patient. hell, i don’t even remember the day i lost my bars. your saying all this stuff only cause you finally got your return. that’s what this site is for, people need help and hope. some people wait all year for this to come by, and your bashing people only to sound good because your no longer at the same end they are. don’t get it twisted, i lost my bars to. i finally got a ddd of the 24th because i kept calling to get the situation resolved. one thing about these IRS people, they are very rude and unprofessional. they will give you the run around with the 21 day speech only because of policies. the policies they go by are that they are not obligated to research your case if it hasn’t been 21 days. not that they cant, they just found a way to cut corners. i know its true because my wife 21 days wasn’t up and she got lucky by speaking with a rep that was nice enough to look her up and tell her everything that was going on. i lost my bars sometime late Jan, because of the rumors about the id theft i verified online and passed. that next week i saw that people who verified over the phone got a ddd with in 4 or 5 days. my status was still processing. i called the irs and didn’t even see in the system that i verified, she just took my word for it, noted it just in case i tried to call back and ask the same question, and she told me to give it until may. a week later once again i see people left and right getting ddd after verifying within a week. i was shocked, so i called them back again but this time a lady told me my review case was still open for id theft, and after 2 weeks from verifying she said its no way my case should still be active. she said it couldn’t have gone through, so she gave me the protection number. by that time i had a tax advocate. i called the id protection line the minute i got off the phone with my advocate, i verified over the phone and passed. 3 days later i get a call from my advocate telling me my return was scheduled to be in my account Feb 24th. i woke up the next morning and saw a ddd of Feb on the wheres my refund site. so bottom line, if i wouldn’t of never been calling i would be still waiting for my return. so the 9 weeks bs is not true. my tax advocate personally told me they are trained to tell us that. she said it normally takes no longer then a few weeks. @Why so angry, don’t mislead people by telling them not to call because the IRS don’t care about no one getting a return. they will violate every right you have and delay your return if you let them. when they owe you, they give you the 21 day speech alone with the run around. when you owe them, they either take it by force or lock you up. i personally don’t believe it took you all the way til June to get your return, not for id theft. so to all you people on these thread, keep calling because the IRS will screw you over if you let them.

@dallastexas don’t ever call before 21 days, its a waste of time. they are not going to look into your case because they feel that policies don’t obligate them to. they are gonna make up all kinda stuff about it wont allow them to look into your case because of the 21 day bs but technically they can, they just wont if they feel they are not obligated to. 90% of them are not professional and does not have good customer service skills, they are very rude. but back to my point. its been 18 days for you, your bars didn’t go missing but 18 days is a unnatural time frame to be processed. if you dont see a change by tues then they have to tell you why its being delayed because its not suppose to take no more then 21 days to process.

update!!!!! tax advocate was right, this morning about 4am i woke up to a ddd of feb 24th. to those who have to verify id just remember to not ever verify online before your 21 days is up, it will not go through properly and you’ll be sitting in the dark waiting for something thats not coming. i did for 2 weeks, once i realized something wasnt right i verified and got a ddd within 4 days. also dont ever believe that 9 weeks bs, they are trained to tell you that. i verified on the 16th, woke up this morning on the 20th with ddd of the 24th.

                                      update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i verified my id on the 16th of feb over the phone. at 6am this morning, which is feb 18th i was able to finally order my return transcript. about 4 hours later while at work i get a unknown call from my tax advocate. she told me after looking at my file again this morning they are done processing it. she said it says my ddd is weds the 24th. she said they wont be updating the next cycle on the irs gov site until tomorrow morning, so i wont see it until then. so to all of you that were able to finally order your return transcript this morning like me, that means your on the next cycle and its done processing. and lesson learned, dont ever, ever, ever, ever verify online before your 21 days is up. i verified online 2 weeks before my 21 days was up. passed and all, but never saw a change for 2 weeks after i verified. i kept saying to my self something aint right, because i saw people who verified after me over the phone get ddd’s 4 and 5 days later. im like no way is that possible. so im sitting up waiting for something that was never coming for 2 whole weeks. 2 weeks after i verified i got a letter from the irs saying i had to verify my id, and if i didnt they was not going to release my refund. the letter was dated a week after i verified. thats when i knew i had to do something, cause it just didnt seem right. i called and they told me my review case was still open. she said for me to have verified and 2 weeks gone by it should of been closed by now. so i was like hell naw lol, i need a tax advocate right now. she requested me one, my advocate contacted me a week later. the day before she contacted me i verified over the phone to the protection hot line. 2 days later i was able to order my return transcript, then hours later she called me and said my return was scheduled to be direct deposited in my account weds feb 24th.

how i found out if i was gonna have to verify my id, i went to the site that verifies your id. try placing your info in and if it continues and start asking you questions only the real you should only know then that means your flagged for not being able to verify your id, and that’s why your bars are missing, and that’s why your return is being delayed. i realized this because i had researched before finding out what the missing bars normally meant, which was they were having a hard time verifying your id and they couldn’t guarantee your return in 21 days no more. me and my wife filed separately, her bars went missing as well. i told her to go through the id verification site and hers didn’t go through. hers didn’t go through because they wasn’t having problems verifying her id, and i figured that out once she got a ddd the next day of 2/10. i was like wow, so that’s why it allowed me to go through the verification process and not her, because they wasn’t delaying hers for identity theft. if you do it before your 21 days are up you’ll be ahead, because by the time they tell you it’ll be 21 days. you’ll have to wait 9 weeks from the days you got verified so do it now. they say 9 weeks only because that’s what they are trained to tell u. normally it’ll take like a week or 2. the site to go through is idverify.irs.gov. good luck

are you saying once they open they are updating transcripts this morning, because i tried to order mine first thing and its still saying they don’t have me on file.

@dom me and my wife filed separately like in the middle of jan, got accepted the next day. towards the end of jan we both lost our bars but still had our 152 topic. on the 5th of feb she was able to order her transcript, i tried but my transcript wasn’t on record. the very next day her bars re appeared and gave her a ddd of feb 10. i checked mine and it was still processing. dont know if its true or not but allota people has said once they were able to order a transcript, they got a ddd within a few days later. what a coincidence my wife got hers the very next day after realizing she could order a transcript. the irs is real tricky, you can never figure them out. i would of thought i had a ddd the minute i found out she had one. its allota rumors going around saying that when you lose your bars your being manually reviewed, or saying its happening because the irs been having problems with system software. saying that people who filed early got re sequenced and pushed to the bottom of the pile as they were trying to fix certain glitches. nobody really knows but the irs, and they are too lazy to tell us why and use the excuse of it not being 21 days so they wont have to look us up. they are some of the rudest people i ever met. worst then the police. if we owed them money they’ll get it back by force or lock us up. if they owed us money, they tell us to call back in 21 days. so to top it off, you wont have true facts until either your 21 days are up, or until you actually get a ddd. dont lose hope, my wife’s bars disappeared and came back before her 21 days was up.

that’s crazy, i wonder what that means cause i still show my 152 topic with my bars missing. i hate the IRS, they tell us to call back in 21 days when they owe us but if they called us looking for money we owe and we say call us back in 21 days we will either get put in jail or get our money taken by force. the justice system is so corrupt
