Did you file an injured spouse? Usually about a week after you get the 836 code, it will update again with an offset code and the amount to be taken. If the offset is less than your refund amount, you’ll get what’s remaining.

My account page now says amount owed $0.00, in place of where it said your return has not been processed and all of my transcripts and return is populated. Everything was blank until last night. I have a 570 code, but hoping it falls off with a DDD this week. I’m in line for an advocate, but suddenly all this is happening 🤔

Record of account shows:
150 Tax return filed
806 W-2 of 1099 withholding
766 Credit to your account (no idea where this random credit came from??)
846 Refund issued (Date shows 03/26/2025…so 4 days from now)

@LolaR – I guess you are right some movement is better than none! I know for the last 5 years there always seems to be a problem, I have had to get a TA every year to get my refund and they have offset my refund twice even with the IS form filed, Last year I had to contact my Senator to get my refund and all 5 years refund has been recevied in July or Aug and I always file in January. I am prayerful that it will come maybe next week???????

Back story: accepted 1/27, wmr changed to “still processing,” verified online 2/14, verified by phone (was told it didn’t go through) 2/21, called advocate 3/14 and was told something glitches and my verification still hadn’t gone through and they put me in a 2 week line for an advocate, transcripts completely blank until 3/20 and now they’re totally filled in and I lost the non-filer nonsense, but i have a 570 code.

So now you’re caught up!

What I’m wondering is, has anyone received a refund while 570 still showing, and what are the odds of still getting a refund next week?

I never rely on my taxes for anything but play money, but it just so happens this year, something is going on with my car, which will cost quite a bit. Before I go take a personal loan, I’m wondering the likelihood of actually receiving a refund by next weekend, in which case I will just wait (mechanic is booked until then and I’m driving a family member’s car).

I filed on March 6. It was accepted immediately. I have 3 of the 4 > 2024 transcript options available however, they are blank. My address change isn’t reflected yet. I’m on 1 bar w/tax topic 152. Maybe tonight things will populate and update.

@TravisShon man thanks for that positivity. I needed that! I’m praying for 571 and 846 tomorrow!! I verified 2/24. And I’ll have to get a paper check too cause my preparer messed up my account numbers. They left one digit off. But SBTPG said they can issue a cashiers check (I got fees coming out) and seems like they’ll send it faster than the IRS. So I don’t think it’ll be a huge wait to get the cash in hand. I will keep y’all posted!

Still on 971 with a zero balance. I’m crying on the inside everyday I see that $0 smh. I’ve called the call center and they keep saying they need to review it and I’m like NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO REVIEW IT. RIGHT NOW! I did not request early payment and turbo tax also says payment complete I never checked before so I don’t know if it changed as it doesn’t show what day the payment completed beside the day it was accepted. Hopefully we wake up with it

It is possible my WMR bar never changed until a few days after I got my refund, some years it updates after I received it, some it updated the day I got it, has nothing to do with time. Waiting the 21 days is only think to count on, early? Cool. Check transcripts after 2 weeks mine just updated but had a non verified status on return transcripts but no letters. Nothing seem connected to me. Lots of speculation.

Still waiting, filed and accepted on Jan 27th, my cycle code is 20250805 which makes me weekly. So far the only changes have been the as of date which started at 3/10 then to 3/17 then to 3/24 now at 3/31 I did get a notice online on 3/10 which said I get more back (SSA), now today there is a notice in the mail, I am guessing it is the same notice I saw online.

840, is a refund that is not generated through normal Master File processing (TC 846). Manual refunds are requested on either Form 3753, Manual Refund Posting Voucher, or Form 5792, Request for IDRS Generated Refund.

Update: Checked my transcripts this morning, even though WMR said still proccessing, I had a DDD of 3/19, my refund was funded to my account at 5:30 tonight. Mind blown. I used TT, had fees taken out of my refund, and paid the 25.00 fee for 5 day early refund.

I just posted a new topic. Apparently, verifying TWICE (internet and phone) wasn’t enough, because it’s still showing my verification as not going through. Still blank everything, but my as of date was moved yet another week out, to 3/31 now. I have an advocate now. I’m so over this.

I called the advocate line today. I was accepted 1/27, verified online 2/18, told it didn’t take when I called a week later, so verified over phone. I still have blank transcripts, so I called today. They said the verification has still not gone through, so they have me in line to get an advocate, but it’s a 2 week wait. If you verified and nothing is moving, may wanna call. This year is an absolute wash and I’m not stressing anymore, because I’m giving up, and pretending as if I’m not due a refund so I can stop being stressed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wanted to give an update. I received my tax refund TODAY around 4:30 pm (I just found out it was even there)! I had the following: EIC, Independent contractor, and a small business. Filed on Feb 26th and used Cash App for payment. Still only showing ONE bar on the IRS website (so far). Hope this helps someone!

My 846 was for the 19th and I have Chime.. went from still being” to” being *processed on 3/12.. 3/13 I had a transcript update and here I am today with my DD in my bank! thank you all for being on this journey good luck to those of you who are not yet at the finish line you will get there real soon…until next year!

I did do the TT 5 days early, my transcripts had been empty until this morning, I got a DDD for 3/19, still no update on WMR. I can’t believe that I would get it early, since I just got the 846 today.
