      Can someone explain the process on receiving my refund ? I have code 840 refund issued with 3-12-24 date next to it. Will I be receiving a check & when should it arrive ?

          My refund was submitted originally electronic. It was approved manually due to hardship on 3/12. When should I expect to see a check ?

            840, is a refund that is not generated through normal Master File processing (TC 846). Manual refunds are requested on either Form 3753, Manual Refund Posting Voucher, or Form 5792, Request for IDRS Generated Refund.
