@Bethanne I see the same thing. Date is now GONE. Sheesh! My sister filed early too..still no movement. She files early every year…this is the first time she hasn’t received it. Still one bar for her as well..and I have NO bars but everything else….my bars have been gone for a week…but no review, no number to call and no letter. I still have everything else.

Filed TT 1/8 accepted 1/11 no wmr update no transcripts. I’d like to say it’s “comforting” to know I’m not alone but it’s not comforting at all. I’ve always filed early. I was pushed back to the 3rd DD date 2 years ago and last year I was included in the first. No rhyme or reason to this.

I got my state refund this morning , it was authorized on Jan 22. I still have not gotten DDD for federal refund yet and I am still at 1 bar. All I have from TT is that it was accepted and that my federal refund was deposited to my bank account, but I don’t see anything. Maybe tomorrow? I’m in California.

Filed with TT on 1/10 accepted 1/12 no changes on WMR however checked SBPTG this morning around 8am said they had not received my refund but expected 2/2 and now it has no date. I am guessing they are doing away with dates at this point so people aren’t mad when that date comes and goes, and still no DD.

HAPPENED TO ME AND MY FIANCEE AS WELL!!! MINE DID SAY EXPECTED DATE OF 2/9 AND ALL OF THAT STUFF LAST NIGHT.. BUT THIS MORNING IT READS:

“TPG has not received your federal tax refund.

So, I filed and was accepted on 1/19- no movement at all. I just signed onto SBTG site and the generic message of “expected by 2/9” is now gone and just says “TPG has not received your federal tax refund.”

Did anyone else’s change? Does this mean I am being reviewed? Thanks all

My info about the tpg site is what they said when I called. I know you get a lot of people lying but I won’t lie to people who,I assume, need this money just as badly as me. Bethanne, maybe that means they are in between updating your status. I bet so. Maybe you’ll have a DD tomorrow. I don’t have fees so I didn’t use SBBT

Also, a very large percentage of early filers got transferred to weekly. I need the money bad, but I’m not stressing unless I don’t have two bars Saturday morning.

I think it has to do with processing centers. The IRS has multiple ones you go through. I go through UT and they are always one of the faster ones I have noticed from looking on here through the years. I recall people looking at their codes on their transcripts saying Crap I got such and such and they were a week later then other people.

The expected date on tpg/sbbt wad just the generic 21 days since you filed or got accepted date. They took it off because so many people were calling to ask about it, and also because it was showing 21 days for early filers when it technically could be 21 days from the irs opening date on the 19th. So don’t worry about it being gone. It was just a generic message that didn’t mean anything! Hope this helps.

Same here…only my bars went away after a few days and never returned. I don’t have any tax offsets, nothing indicating that I am under review. I didn’t receive any letter or number to call. It just says it processing the return and a date will be given once available with tax code 152. I filed on 1/7 got accepted on 1/11. Last year I got my money on the 21 day mark.

I got a little less this year. Last year by return was a little over 8K this year it is about 7k
so I hope I get that soon…I’m buying a car.

I filed 1/15 and was accepted 1/19. What are the chances that I will be getting my DD tomorrow 1/29? On the where’s my refund app for Play Store (not the IRS2GO one) it said tomorrow. But my WMR still has 1 bar. I’ve never had experience with getting a DD prior to my WMR being updated?

Ugh. I’m glad to see my misery has company. I filed via TT January 11, accepted the 12th WMR at one bar as of five min ago. Cannot order transcripts. I’ve always filed early and always gotten my refund in the first batch. Sbbt shows funding date of Tuesday 2/2. I’ve never gotten funded on any other day than Friday. Incidentally February 2nd is groundhogs day, I’m afraid the irs will see its shadow and I won’t get funded….

@Where’s my dang money – No. I received that email (as well as a handful of others), and nothing happened (for us). BUT that doesn’t mean it’s not on its way. TT told someone that’s just a general email they send out, but checking my prior year’s records, I got that email, and shortly after my deposit.

Also, there were several others that got the email 2 days ago, and DDD confirmations yesterday (morning).

@Crystal you’re a sweetie for making the call and trying to get us some answers. I believe getting any answers is not going to happen. After reading researching and last years experience it is obvious the IRS is going to do what ever they want lol. last year I had no updates of any kind and I got my return on 1/29 at 5 pm. No WMR bar movement no sbt update no transcripts. so… Im just going to hope. I will be so surprised if I don’t get a deposit this week…

@Dea – See the below excerpt from the Turbo Tax Website. This may help. I am an early bird as well (Accepted 1/12).

You may be anxious to receive your refund, but sometimes being an early filer works against you. Changes to the tax code or procedures often happen at the last minute, and refunds can be delayed while the IRS updates tax software. These delays are usually minimal, but can be avoided by waiting until the second or third week of the year. In 2012, recalls Holland, returns filed prior to January 26 were delayed more than a week, because the IRS added new anti-fraud measures on their computer systems.

Filing at the last minute can also delay your return, especially if you file on paper, due to the sheer volume of people filing at that time. I don’t think there is anything “wrong” with our returns, there is to many people that filed 1/20 and before, that HAVENT got a DDD or update, for there to be something wrong with ALL of ours.

So I am hearing that people called in and the IRS is saying that they dropped us into one big pot. That even if you filed early, you weren’t truly accepted until the 19th and that it is 21 days from that day..

OK. I GET THAT.

But, it clearly states on A LOT of websites including the IRS that it is on a “First in, first out” basis unless your refund has certain forms including Injured Spouse, Etc.. HOWEVER, if we were dropped into “One Big Pot”, that means that on the 19TH that everybody that filed early and was basically just sitting in a que, would then be accepted that day and be dropped into the same pot as the people that filed on the 19TH!! Then, everybody that filed after that, would go in after them. Or at the very least, everybody on the 19th would be first and then the people who filed early would be after..

So, if this were true, the people who filed on the 19th and were accepted on the 19th were basically accepted on the same day as somebody who filed on 1/11-1/18 and from there it is on a first in, first out basis. THEN HOW COME there is people who filed on 1/23 now getting DDD and people that filed 1/11 – 1/19 still without DDD?
UNLESS they waited until 1/23 to drop everybody into one big pot?? I am confused now that these people who filed 1/22-1/23 are getting DDD for 1/29 and 2/1???

@Avery I recall seeing the IRS hotline on the front of the website. However, I also read that many of the calls to the IRS are not being received due to the high call volumes. Just keep trying if you don’t get through. They might not tell you much if it hasn’t been more than 21 days.

I also filed with TT on the 19th, am still sitting with one bar and tax topic 152. No update on WMR since the 20th, no update on TT and no update on SBBT.
In other words you’re not alone. It’s all a waiting process. As I see it, we didn’t have the money before now and survived, waiting a few more days or a week won’t make a difference.

We’ll all get info eventually weather it be on WMR, DD without any update or a letter in the mail from the IRS.

I just checked, the IRS said that theres been a lot of people this morning, who filed early during the testing phase, that are on their second bar and are recieving their federals tomorrow, Friday the 29th, Im one of the early filers but Im still on one bar. Hopefully I get mine tomorrow, I know a few people on here said that they had one bar until a day or two after they recieved their refund. Keeping my hopes up.

I called and checked on my status this morning.. Im still processing (no manual or anything). The guy I spoke with was super nice and told me that the delays and manual status are alto more this year because they put in a new computer system on December 1st. He said it has been causing problems with refund issue dates and put alot more people into manual review.
The systems decides when it goes out (and updates)

He said they are trying to work on the system to make it more efficient but at this point its a waiting game for everyone.

Hi everyone! I have been looking on here for about four days. I find with TT 1/16 accepted 1/19. Still no DDD and WMR is still at 1 bar ugh. I was thinking about the TT email I think they just send that 15 days after you file with them. I doing think it has anything to do with you getting your refund. But it may mean you are getting closer because that means it has been 15 days since you filed and the time generic time frame is 21 days. I have a question. Has anyone who is married and filing a joint return been approved? Because I think they are pushing single people through and looking at married for longer. Maybe because of the new gay marriage law. In past years I have a DDD within ten days and tomorrow makes ten since filing. I’m still hopeful. Any help with my question would be great.

Hi everyone.. I filed with TT on 1/7 accepted on 1/11. As of this morning still on one bar. Called the IRS this morning and was informed that no one was processed prior to 1/19 so us early filers are somewhere in the mix and our official 21 days started on 1/19 not 1/11. Looks like it doesn’t help to file early… won’t do that again!

Me like everybody else I woke up hoping for an update this morning.

I was accepted on the 1th and was able to order my account transcripts yesterday.

Are they any hope for updates for this weekend. All I keep seeing is Wednesday and Sundays of mass updates. Reading around the forums I didn’t see much updates happening today. So is there hope for an update for a DDD 2/1?

Also not sure if this makes a difference but like I said yesterday I was able to order my account transcript, this morning I was able to login in again but my return transcript was not available. I tried checking again it days my info is incorrect. Last time it did that I was able to order my account transcript.

I filed through TaxACT on January 11thI. I got accepted on January 12th. And I am still sitting on one bar as of this morning and still cannot order a transcript. This is so frustrating the same thing happened last year and took forever to get the return. I don’t get how the IRS does not do returns in order most companies due thing in order. For the person who was asking if you have a problem with the tax return how will you be notified they will notify you through the mail.
