@HighlyIrritated
Do you know why you needed to fax advocate documents which the IRS should already have?I am a 2/12. I talked to IRS “Talk to live person number” day before yesterday. They saw that my estimated payments made with my husband’s SSN were not credited to our return supposedly because our return listed my SSN first. They kept leaving me on hold to “check something” and coming back. Finally said a Tax Advocate who could work on it would call me within 5 days. No call yet but it has been only 1 day. I’ll update after 4 more business days.
Update: Estimated tax payment was the problem. As of this year, the IRS computers cannot handle a joint return where the taxpayer SSN listed first is not the taxpayer SSN used for EFTPS withdrawals from the bank. So returns with the secondary on a joint return providing the estimated tax payments were put in a deep hole with unknown reemergence. Call IRS if this is your situation.
Interesting, my accepted date was 2/12. But my “as of” date has not changed from 2/22. Of course, I don’t know if any of this date stuff really tells me something.
There does seem to be something about the “as of” 2/22 date. I fell into the same hole and seem to be abandoned there.
My 10 weeks was up Friday. Nothing moved at all. I am still “still processing”. Transcripts are the same as they were in February. No letters, no nothing.
April 24, 2021 at 9:06 am in reply to: Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided…” #4485307Hit 10 weeks yesterday. No update for me. Still “still processing” and no letter requesting documentation or ID verification. “As of still stuck at Feb 22.” Since I went into “still processing” there have been no changes in anything on my transcripts. Congratulations to those of you who got good news this morning.
@ReallyReally You aren’t alone. My accept date was 2/12 and my “AS OF” date has been Feb. 22 since mid to late Feb. Nothing, not even a comma, has changed on my account since Feb.
@Laurie I am in the boat sitting right next to you.
My line 30 is correct but it did single out my status as someone with enough reduced income in 2020 to qualify me for the entire stimulus instead of the partial for which my 2019 income qualified. This reduction was entirely because of the RMD waiver for 2020.
March 24, 2021 at 12:25 am in reply to: IRS RELEASES STATEMENT THAT MANY WONT SEE TAX REFUND UNTIL SUMMER #4476563I guess I am to dumb to get it. So a 2/12 gets set aside until there is time but it doesn’t get to fill an open time slot before an incoming 3/20 return of equivalent complexity which gets processed while the 2/12 waits. Yep, makes a lot of “fairness” sense to this dummy.
Filed 2/12 with TaxAct. None of my quarterly estimated taxes that I paid appear on the Account Transcript. Account only has Stimulus and wage shows no return filed. However the tax return I submitted on Feb 12 is there. Where’s my refund is in processing and a date is not yet known. The 152 message disappeared and is now just a message about their phone app. No N/A’s seen. The estimated tax missing is disturbing.
