I filed and was accepted on 2/1/2018. WMR Updated originally to 1 bar, and ‘received’ but on 2/10 (or thereabouts) it updated to the generic processing message with all of my info on the side, and it has stayed there ever since. So Yay Me. lol.
I will say this, and I think it is important: If anyone is reading this, People should be aware that the IRS is not nice, kind or there for our convenience. No one should expect to ever get money from them. It is not a good idea to depend on getting anything back from them, it just sets you up for disapointment.
Don’t get me wrong, I would enjoy having this money now, too. But I never expect or depend on the Government to be anything other than cumbersome, obstructive, and un-sympathetic.
I see a lot of people have those non-traditional pre-paid debit cards. What I did years ago when we were first starting out, was we would take $30.00 out of our paychecks, and have it direct deposited into an account that we didn’t have a debit card for. If we needed that money in an emergency we always had a couple hundred dollars sitting in the bank if we need it. We just had to go into the bank to get it, and we couldn’t use a card to access it.
I know a lot of you are rolling your eyes and mumbling, but trust me, if *I* can do that, anyone can. I am the absolute worst with money. The Absolute worst. If I didn’t have my bills come directly out on auto pay, my bills would never get paid.
This is, of course, just a suggestion. It may work for some, and not for others. I understand that everyone has different set of circumstances.
@Candy – did they give you a time frame for the deposit? I ID Verified today, too. I was just wondering what they told you.
I received mine today. :(
I called and did the verification. The lady was very nice, said that it (the refund) can take *up to* 9 weeks, but that normally it is much faster than that. When I asked if she could narrow it down, I got the Standard boilerplate response, and was told to check WMR for updates.
My question is this: Has ANYONE who has completed an ID Verification seen any movement on WMR, or any other information?
@ Igor Amburg, sorry for kinda hijacking the thread. I am just trying to get some answers.
You can check the republic bank here:
https://www.republictaxpayer.comNothing for me or my husband😒🙁☹️, but good Luck!
Same here. I DO HAVE a small EIC ($150) because I’ve been outta work since July due to a pretty nasty car accident. But I have NO PATH message. Just the standard :
“Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.”All of my info is on the left hand side.
I checked the SS website, and my income is listed for 2017, (accurately). But here’s the crazy thing, my partner has the EXACT same situation WMR, but he DOES NOT have any EIC or any credits of any kind, at all.
So what the heck is going on: I would appreciate any information or speculation y’all may be allblento provide.
Thanks!!!!!
Hi All! I have read through looking for an answer or possible explanation, and I am hoping i can get some answers.
My partner and I filed (Separate) on 01/19 and were accepted. This is the first year (in almost 8) that we are getting a refund.I was in a pretty bad car accident and have been out of work on FMLA since July, so we actually qualified for a refund this year.
I did have an Earned Income Tax Credit, but it wasn’t very much (if that helps)
For about a week we both had a status bar with the first section shaded in, and it was stuck on ‘Return Recieved’. For the last 10 days it has said that:
“Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.
Please Note:
For refund information, please continue to check here, or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day.”It looks like we are in the same boat as a few other people. But I guess I was just looking for some confirmation.
Also, What is PATH, and how do I know if it affects me?
Thank y’all so much, and I appreciate any answers y’all are able to provide.
