This is what I am getting.
I filed for 2018 not 2019 received 1st stimulus via entering info. I believe the AGI from 2019 was used this time unlike last time when both 2018 & 2019 were used. I believe because I didn’t file for 2019 I have to wait and request 2nd stimulus on taxes.
This may be the case for many of us. Thoughts?

I’ve been following this thread and a few others for a while and from what I’ve seen there are people that received their second EIP without GMP or transcripts updating. Have you signed up for informed delivery? I’ve had it for a couple of years. USPS will send a picture or description of any incoming mail.

Check your account in the morning after your bank opens. Everyone who had the deposit originally for Jan 4 should have it on or by tomorrow. If you don’t have it by Feb 12 then claim it on your return and it will be added.

Hey everyone gmp just did a huge update this week. Check gmp and your bank accounts today. Those with original deposit date of Jan 4 should have received a direct deposit today for Feb 3. Also if you don’t receive your eip payment by today, I talked with the IRS. I was told checks will take 4-6 weeks to mail out. Good luck!

I was told by the bank I should see something in 1 to 2 business days since they see something pending on their end. Which should of been Friday. My GMP updated in the last hour. Transcripts updated about 6:30am with a DD for 2/3 with my correct bank account. I filed using TaxAct and was caught up in the TaxAct/Republic Bank fiasco. For whatever reason the second stimulus was split down the middle for my husband and I. They calculated his payment for him and 1 and 1/2 of our children (we have 3 and not sure how you split a child in half lol) and his GMP status read mailed 1/6 and arrived here in Michigan 1/15.

Mine read Status Not Available until an hour ago. My half was calculated as me and 1 and 1/2 of our children. We file joint every year, so I am not sure how or why this stimulus was split or how my half got caught in the Republic Bank hell but his didn’t. Received the first stimulus no problem in whole (not split) DD into our bank account.

Republic stated that the IRS would continue to send it out in batches. It is possible yours will be in the 2/5 batch. I hope it is tomorrow for your sake. It is possible if you update weekly, you won’t see it on transcripts or GMP most likely, but it is still possible you could get it tomorrow.

@renee It is because you are a weekly updater. Your transcripts update between late Thursday night into Friday morning each week. The people who updated yesterday are daily updaters. You will see an update Friday morning on your transcripts but may have a deposit by the time you see it anyway.

The transcript is on the IRS website. You have to go through their signup process to begin. Once there, you can check the statuses of refunds for both stimulus purposes and income tax refunds. It is quicker than waiting for where’s my refund or get my payment to update. They update that well before the online portals.

I spoke with the IRS agent on Friday and they told me that my payment was sent to a third party account and that they would be reissuing the money by February 1st. They put a tracer on the check to see where it was located and that if I don’t receive February 1st then I can claim it on my taxes. Well what I was told was this week there going to be a massive drop they have to reissue 8 million checks, direct payments, or meta bank card. Biden sign and executive order that mandates that the IRS resubmit payments by February 1. My belief is that’s why they pushed the tax season back from The end of January until February 12th . So they can get as mush payments out before the new season begins. So let’s see if that would be doing all of this this week.

As someone else posted here, I downloaded my it’s transcript from irs.gov for 2020 and it shows I was credited my stimulus on 1/4/2021. I did not receive anything. I got the meta tax prenote on 1/13/2021 and the transcript mentions I was credited again on 1/18/2021. Hopefully soon!

I was able to speak with an IRS Rep earlier. She wasn’t familiar with the meta prenote but did mention the GMP saying it’s unavailable is incorrect…if you do look at the transcript and it says a date it’s because a payment was sent to a temp acct of a tax preparer. The IRS is waiting for funds from that bank to be sent back so they can send funds to intended recepiant correct checking acct. The Rep did say it’ll take up to 10 calendar days.

Just got off phone with irs..Representative stated if you recieved a meta prenote..we should be receiving something in 10 business days after the date the pre note was posted. That is a good sign you will get your deposit soon. Republic Taxpayer did a test batch for the IRS. This test batch is supposed to be a precursor to getting your DD. I’m not sure of the timing, but it could be this weekend, fingers crossed.

Ok guys. For everyone having this issue. I just got off the phone with the IRS. Apparently the refund issue date showing on the transcript is a mistake. Lady said refunds could be deposited at any time during the day but if we don’t get the money by Friday then we’re gonna have to claim it on the taxes. Hope this helps!!!!

For those who need help finding the transcript..you will need to go to irs.gov and set up an account first. Once you set up an account , it may ask you to verify your last log in ..select continue , then you will go to view tax records. After that you will go to view transcript. From there you will be able to see if you were issued a stimulus check. God bless

Ok sooo from what I am told , if your getmypayment is saying not available but your transcript states it was issued on the 4th but will be credited on the 18th . Then you will be receiving your stimulus on the 18th . Mine says the same thing . I was on the phone with the IRS for hours today on hold And finally got through . If we do not receive on the 18th then unfortunately you would have to claim it on your taxes . But I believe we will all receive it on our credit date .

I have a tax agent that files it for me
I have a copy of those files in 2019
I had paid in some taxes in 2019
I also had a full refund in 2019
I have that cancelled check that the I.R.S had cash it out
I have that letter from the I.R.S saying it was at a zero balance and was settlement agreement
I Did not here from the I.R.S. since then
So here’s my question why is their a delay.

Patrick P you have to go to the IRS website and create and account. you would be able to view your transcripts there. I did minds and I have 846 1/4. However I called the IRS. They informed me that the transcript code is just let you know that there is a payment that is owed . If you don’t see the payment by January 15 . You have to claim it on your taxes to receive it.

If anyone used a tax preparer online and decided not to pay out of pocket for the fee, IRS sent the the 2nd check to refund transfer account instead of your bank account. This sucks, I know. The RT bank will have to reject the payment and send it back to IRS. Not sure if they issue checks at this point or make you file credit on your 2020 tax return.

I got a paper check last time but used the get my payment tool in October to update my bank info.

There was an extension issued for 2019 taxes. It was July 15th. I wonder if this is throwing a wrench in the works. They may be processing payments based on April 15th filings and then issuing payments to anyone who filed on July 15th. Thoughts?

If your cycle code ends in a 5 – your a weekly, which means your WMR will update on Saturdays (I’m a weekly as well). An 846 code is good, that’s your refund code! Thats what you want to see, so congrats!

Did any of you have the fees taken out of your refund when you did your taxes last year? If so, that’s the issue. The refund transfer companies are getting the refunds and then Having to reject them so a check can be mailed out to those of us who have direct deposit set up but had the fees taken out of our tax refunds.

My IRS transcript says a DD of 1/4 for ONLY half on the second stimulus. When I put in my information it tells me that they can’t process my request. I did not file in 2019 BUT I did in 2018 & did receive the 1st EIP after updating info to the IRS. The non filers tool last updated in October was pretty clear about who was to use it. The wording was for people that had not received the EIP. I tried to copy and paste but the comment wouldn’t post.

From everything I have read, if you received first stimulus, but did not file a 2019 tax return, unless you entered info in the non-filers portal before November deadline, or submitted a simplified tax return for 2019 that has been processed, you will have to claim the stimulus as a tax rebate on 2020 tax return. I saw that too but do not take that as definite. I believe they just haven’t updated all of the information yet. I also got No Info available for my second payment, however, my transcripts show my stimulus amount, ddd of 1/4, and code 846 – all clear signs that my payment is approved and sent.
