WMR still has not updated but I got my taxes back last year before it updated. So hears hoping for all of us that there is movement!I am still waiting on my letter from the IRS so I tried to call them again today and was fortunate enough to have spoke with a very energetic young lady. After I told her that I was expecting a notice and that I had not received it. She told me it had not been mailed out yet
at which point I asked if she could see the notice since I could not see any online she pulled it up and explained it to me as best as she could. The notice is a CPO5. Which states that I was randomly selected to be reviewed…. So now I wait.
@red-dawn
I believe you are right. If I had to guess I would say one other thing we all probably have in common t is a fairly decent amount that is owed to us on our return. I could be wrong but that is just my theory as well.*Update*
Received 971 today. Called IRS, they said I was one of the ones flagged for verification. They told my to check my taxes and if everything is correct to leave them as they are and if I need to change something file an amended. That it can take up to 120 days to resolve. Taxes done by HRB called them & verified all info is correct… I feel like it is just a way to help off set the backlog on ITS part.I filed with H&R Block in Jan 21st. I have a 150 code with an as of date 3/4 everything else is like it is supposed to be except I now have the 570 code with a date of 3/4. I have taken nothing out of 401. The only thing I have done differently this year is a used my AOTC (education credit) which I did not use in previous years.
I am not sure if that is causing the hold up or if I am just stuck in a freeze so the IRS can play catch up. I am in a weekly batch. I am just a little confused as to how my “Tax Return Filed Date” is 3/4 when I clearly filed on 01/21 and it was accepted on 01/29.
