Lethy, what does the portal say now? If you cant update and/or went go dead account the irs said you will be getting mailed a check. Said so on thier website. 20-30 grand bracket got mailed out may 1st. Depends on your income. Wow i thought i Was the only one left waiting lol. Guess not.
Soltice21, I am in the same situation. My birthdays and SNN. That IRS has on file is wrong so I can’t enter the portal to know what’s going on. Most ppl on here that had an emerald card updated their info on the portal but not me. Lemme know if you get a check by mail, please.
Dee, IF I get a check it is being forwarded FROM N.Y. TO FL. I called my old post office to make sure it didn’t get sent back because some important govt mail isn’t supposed to be forwarded but they said it shouldn’t be a problem and all checks will get forwarded. I havent gotten mine yet but My situation is more complicated. I’ll post if I ever get it.
Eris1091, no nothing in mail today. Im wondering if its because my birthdate is screwed up. I gotta go to the SAA office building when it opens and show them my birth certificate to fix it. Then I’ll be able to use the Get My Payment.
I haven’t gotten anything yet. I had emerald refund transfer. Was unable to use the irs portal and am under 10,000 a year. Therefore I expected a check in mail. Nothing yet. Even if it got mailed on 24th I figured it would have been here by now. I just confirmed the SAA and therefore IRS has my wrong birthday that goes with my social security number. That’s why I can’t use the IRS portal to check status or put dd info in. I’m thinking that’s why I never got a check.
Been reading this since the 13th. Pretty sure i’ll be the last to get the stimulus. Lol. All well. I think everyone’s gone now. Was fun reading this. I felt like I was reading a reality TV show or documentary. A lot of classic moments. An epic story of struggle, hardship, perservernce, admins, trolls and friends. Oh jeez I must have missed a lot lol. Did everyone who had a DDD for the 30th get theirs on thier emerald card or other account today?
An irs spokesperson said that there was an error on its Get My Payment website, which “inaccurately indicated rejected payments were being sent back to the same taxpayer account a second time.” In fact, those payments would be mailed to tax filers, the agency said.” So if it says your payment is being sent back to the original wrong account you should have been mailed a check this past Monday, I would have thought.
Yeah it’s the not knowing that is the most aggravating. I can’t even access the “get my payment” portal so technically I don’t even have proof that I am eligible ,even though I don’t have a reason not to be. Last Wednesday seems like a lifetime ago…
I’m excited seeing Emerald Card ppl getting their checks. Congrats. Mine is getting forwarded (couldnt use portal to update address) so im confident i’ll get mine early next week. Can’t come soon enough. Glad I found this forum last week too.
Lazyred the 24th means “the week of the 24th” they got mailed Monday dated to be cashed the 24th. Usually takes 3 days to process mail on average so I’m thinking a lot of ppl will get it tomorrow hopefully then cash it friday
Just to let ppl know, if you did a change of address after filing your most recent taxes call the post office of your old address and make sure they forward your check because they don’t automatically forward important govt shit.
