Update: Contacted IRS

I completely forgot that my husband had insurance through the marketplace for four months this year before I added him to mine. Because of this oversight, I did not submit form 8962 with my return, this is the delay in my refund :'(.

Faxed over the requested information to complete my return and now have to wait 6 weeks. It’s okay though, when it comes, it comes.

Called the IRS today, spoke with a very polite agent. Learned that although I received an email from TurboTax stating that my return had been accepted on the 21st, the Irs actually did not receive it until the 22nd. Which means three weeks from that date, I should see a direct deposit of my funds (02.12.2016).

Advice: The date of your acceptance and the actual date of acceptance from the IRS might be different. If you expected a dd on the 5th, you might not receive it until the 12th, depending on the day of IRS receipt.

Will provide an update on the 12th!!!!
