Boyfriend filed 2/15/2019. Rejected twice, once due to clerical error (made him enter info himself this time) and once due to missing a form because last year, he chose a compromise because they were basically asking him to provide proof he lived with our son and some other stuff. He provided proof, but they basically compromised in July and offered him a reduced EIC. He didn’t know he had to file a special form, so we filed that, and accepted same night.

Fast forward a few days, he gets the processing message, then a couple of days later, he gets the 9001 code. Transcript says “No Tax Return Filed” with a 971 code for notice sent. Nothing has been received to date. That said, a few days ago, he went back to the processing message with 1 bar. No transcript updates yet? Maybe he got thrown back into the hopper?
