And the only reason I know this is because of my own experience, and also from seeing all the posts from people on here throughout the week. People with “check mailed on the 24th” were seeing checks as early as Wednesday the 22nd.

If it says scheduled a check to be mailed on the 24th that means you should be receiving it by that date. I think they mailed them out on the 20th. I didn’t get mine till today and I had that same message. The postal service is a bit slow right now because of covid-19, but you should be getting it within the next few days.

I don’t think they can even take your stimulus for student loans, so you guys should be alright. Also, if your stimulus WAS being offset to pay for student loans, you would get a different message in GMP. It won’t say mailing a check or waiting for a DD date, it’ll actually say that’s being offset.

Thanks for the email last night I watched the whole video. I see they changed the website today, now it just says they will provide more information on when it’ll be open to new requests.

Well guys I finally got my check in the mail today! GMP said check would be mailed on the 24th, so I guess I can’t complain that it was a day late. I really hope all of you who still see DD on the portal get a date this week. I would think you guys should be getting your DD by Wednesday. I sure hope you do!

@inthedark I’ve got a side gig I started this year so I don’t have any taxes filed for it yet. I read you need a 1040 form or something and I don’t have that. Not sure how I can apply for that EIDL without it
@nessee glad to hear you got it. My informed delivery shows 2 things for today. The census and AARP lol. Hoping that my check is waiting in the mailbox for me. GMP says check will be mailed 24th. Not sure how those other people on here with the same message have been getting theirs throughout the week.

Call me crazy but i think someone might be F-ing with you guys about getting a check today. Earlier someone says stop worrying about it, it’s money you wouldn’t have gotten in the first place, and then from that point on it’s been a bunch of new names that haven’t registered all saying the same thing. Nobody that any of us know on here has gotten anything. Just a thought

@123needmoneynow Make sure you put in your DOB like 01/01/1980 and your SS like 123456789 with no dashes. Also, the address doesn’t have to be anything specific, it can be all caps, lowercase, and doesn’t matter whether you include St, Rd, or nothing at all. And if it locks u out for 24hrs you have to wait a full 24hrs minimum. If you try too soon the 24hrs starts over from that point.
@cfon I’m not positive but I think it will be Friday. That’s the date any mailed checks are dated for, and that’s the date it says on irs site my check will be mailed, so I would think the same thing for DD days
Who knows, if nobody gets a DD today then I’m thinking they’re probably only doing DD’s on Friday’s since those of us who’s status changed to being mailed a check says the 24th. They’re probably trying to do it all on one day every week. I’ve heard of people last week saying theirs was DD’d as early as Monday, but those were all people with certain bank accounts, like Chime, which show pending ACH deposits days in advance.
Yeah that’s true. Although I’ve been contemplating on coming down with a fever very soon and having a health care professional tell me to quarantine for 2 weeks, so that I can get 2 weeks off paid. All of us at my company have been asking for the past year to give us paid sick leave every year, and they never get back to us about it. All we’re asking for is like 2 days a year. Now they have no choice but to pay for 2 weeks if we get sick 😆
And Shona to answer your question, if you mean the ones who are seeing DD without a date still, I think that’s just how the IRS rolls, since they do the same thing with “where’s my refund” when you are waiting for a tax refund. It probably won’t have a date until you’ve already gotten your stimulus DD.

I think it’s complete BS that they would all lie and try to cover their asses by saying the IRS has every one of their customers’ banking info even if they had an advance. I really wish I knew what social media platform to call them out on that would make the biggest impact and make them look bad.2 of 3
They are the only ones who have your actual bank/debit card info since your refund gets sent from the IRS directly to them, and they’re the ones who DD the remaining money into your bank after collecting their fees and/or loan repayment.1 of 3
I know for a fact that if you get a refund advance or have fees taken out of your refund, the ONLY bank info that is given to the IRS when you file is your new temporary account with Metabank, Republic, or whoever your tax company uses to collect their money back from your refund.@sbbigmike I just read that report from the link you posted. TurboTax flat out lied in their response, just like Jackson Hewitt and H&R have been doing. They don’t want to look bad so they are all blaming the IRS, saying they have your bank info regardless of whether you got a refund advance or not. That is 100% false and they know that better than anyone else, seeing as how they are in the business of filing taxes for people.

The 24hr lockout period is based off your last attempt to login. So if you just tried to login last at 11:30am EST, then don’t try to login again until after this time tomorrow. Hell. I’d even wait an additional 1 hour after that time just to be safe.
For the ones that show DD with no date still, after adding their info in GMP last Wed, I think it’s safe to assume you’ll get a DD either Wed or Fri this week. They never usually have a date for your tax refund on WMR until after it’s been deposited, so I can’t imagine this would be any different. (This is only my opinion, and not based on actual facts, but I’m probably right cuz am a real fart smucker).
Mine still saying check will be mailed on the 24th, after adding my DD info first thing Wednesday morning. I’m thinking now that this is no glitch. Some people still shows it will be DD with no date (like mine showed up until Fri), and some changed to mailed check on 24th. There has to be a reason why some changed, but it is what it is, at least we have a date and it’s only a few days away.
No what I meant by that was if you do get a paper check then don’t do a mobile check deposit because your funds won’t be available for several days. I’ve used serve for direct deposits of my paycheck before and it was great getting paid a few days early. But that’s only with an ACH transfer which is essentially what a DD is. I was talking about depositing an actual check through the mobile app with your phone. That’ll take forever
I’ve been lurking mostly (occasionally posting) since this thread was started. Im just sick of all the people clogging up this thread with what they “think” they know.
My situation is the same as most of these people who filed with JH and had fees taken out and/or a refund advance… I went on the portal Wednesday morning and it didn’t show any account info at all for me, and said to add it. I added it, and all was good till Friday when I checked and it said I would be mailed a check on the 24th.

So, like someone else mentioned, go to Walmart to cash your check… It’ll probably be your cheapest bet for cashing that check and you’ll get the cash instantly.Just to follow-up on what RobertK said about people using serve, NetSpend, and any online banks… If you receive a paper check and need the money instantly, DO NOT do an electronic deposit through your online bank or debit card. I use Axos Bank “digital checking account” and I also have a serve card. I just deposited a small check last week with the mobile deposit feature and the money wasn’t available for 7 full business days.
Mines saying the same thing. I added my DD info Wednesday morning when the portal opened. Up until today it had been showing the last 4 of my bank acct saying it would be direct deposited. Now today it says my check will be mailed on the 24th. Wtf
@sarrabi Jesus Christ why and how did you hit your limit on the IRS website? Are you that impatient? They clearly state that the info is only updated once a day you spaz. It’s people like you that are fucking this up for everyone else who still hasn’t been able to put in their bank info because the site is so overwhelmed. FFS!
BTW, fuck Republic Bank, JH, and Serve. I’m starting a class action lawsuit against them for their incompetence. Thank God i never got a refund in the first place and owed back taxes. They didn’t get a dime from me for their fees.
Does anyone know when the next wave of ACH deposits are supposed to go through? I thought I read somewhere that it would be Friday? I’m hoping that will include those of us who updated our banking info on the IRS site today.
I just updated my DD info successfully on the IRS website. Im done with Jackson Hewitt after this year. Thank God I owed money for back taxes and both Republic Bank AND Jackson Hewitt never got any of their fees paid out of my refund since I didn’t get a refund. Fuck them both. Seriously

Just got mine on JH Serve. I’m super impatient so I was sitting here staring at the app hitting refresh over and over and it just popped up! Maybe try hitting refresh a bunch of times it’ll show up. I had RAL and fees JH too

Scroll down to my four posts about an hour ago. It will tell you everything you need to know. Don’t ask me how I know or where the proof is, I actually took the time to figure it out and read the fine print. That’s the common sense thing to do.
The website (republictaxpayer.com) where you can login and see if your tax return has been sent to them yet should also work to see if your stimulus check was sent to them as well. You can also setup a text notification through that website in the menu at the top left to notify you of any deposits. Once they (Republic Bank) get your stimulus check it could take a day to be transferred into your checking account, Serve debit card, or other prepaid card.
If you filed your taxes with JH and DID ask for a Refund Advance OR you chose to have your tax prep fees taken out of your refund (Assisted Refund) then there is a temporary account through Republic Bank that would be receiving the stimulus check first and THEN sending it to whatever deposit account or prepaid card you gave them to deposit your refund into.
If you filed your taxes with JH and did NOT ask for a Refund Advance and you DID pay your tax prep fees out of pocket when you filed, then you will get your stimulus check sent to whatever bank or deposit account you gave them for your refund to be sent to (which INCLUDES your Amex Serve debit card or any other prepaid card that has a routing & account number for ACH deposits).
Look guys, it’s pretty simple so stop asking stupid questions, providing bogus information, and confusing everyone! I will make this easy for everyone.
