I filed 1/28 accepted 1/29. Path. Was on 1 bar til 2/16 then got 1541. Never got path message. Got an advocate which called me Monday and I faxed my paper work to her. My old boss didn’t report my wages correctly. I updated to being processed today. Called and spoke to a really nice agent. She faxed my transcripts but I never got them of course. She said I was still under review though. That they were checking everything. Not sure what the means. She said I didn’t have any letters mailed. Guess that last good. Idk. Advocate said it could be the end of April before I see anything. Still waiting. Would be nice to update over night with a ddd but I’m not getting my hopes up.
I have 1541 can’t see my transcripts online so I don’t know what code is on there but my issue is my last employer did my last 3-4 checks as 1099 but the stubs say non 1099. So I claimed it on my return as it was on my w2. At the time I filed I didn’t have paper copies of my w2’s and used what was on the payroll site. Which didn’t show a 1099. Soooo I got an advocate because I’m sure it’s not something that can be fixed without me having to do something. Also to the one that said they had not received your w2’s from the employer, that shouldn’t hold you up for long because one of mine hasn’t either but they see from the year before that they didn’t send them in til like June. I’m off a little over 3300 and it will affect my refund by $524. I’d say get an advocate. I’m waiting to be assigned one and should hear from them by Monday.
February 20, 2019 at 8:26 pm in reply to: code 1541. Anyone have 846 on transcripts with this code #4288334Don’t pay any attention to the ssa site unless you have 1099 income. One of mine isn’t showing either but they said they didn’t report it last year til June but I have other issues with my last employer not sending in the 1099 he did on me but he sent in the w2???
I have 1541 for wage verification. I don’t know what the other code is because I can’t get my trans but I got a tax advocate today. I know what the problem is. My last employer put my last 3-4 checks as 1099 but on my stubs he put non 1099. So in order to fix it I got the advocate. Waiting to be assigned one but should receive a call by Monday. I was told that it shouldn’t be complicated to fix and they may go after the employer since they think it’s strange he just all of a sudden started doing 1099 instead of running it through the payroll system. He did this because he couldn’t pay his own taxes. I’ll update as my stuff goes along.
So I called this morning. Filed 1/28 and had 1 bar until Saturday then updated to 1541 take action. Well I have a w2 from last years return that wasn’t reported. So I owe a little. Figured that’s what it was but the lady said I was under review couldn’t tell me why and said that it takes 45 days but usually doesn’t take that long. Tried to tell her about last years crap but she kept saying this had nothing to do with last years. Wtf. Ugh
February 17, 2019 at 10:12 pm in reply to: code 1541. Anyone have 846 on transcripts with this code #4277210I think I have found my problem. My income on ssa site for last year doesn’t match what I filed. I missed a w2. Ugh. I have a strong feeling that is what my problem is. Not all of my income is showing for this year yet.
I owe the state of ga like $40. I always owe the state a small amount. But it always shows on the offset line and it always comes out of my federal. This year I called the offset line last week. Nothing showed up so I called the state and they told me it hasn’t been paid but that’s they didn’t report it either. Idk if they decided to report it at the last minute or what but it still doesn’t show on the offset line either. Only things I can’t think of for getting this code is the small state owed and that my employer didn’t report all of my income. I did the RIGHT thing and reported it on my return. And I have my proof. It’s a difference of $2400. If it’s because of the wages I will make damn sure they know what he did. I knew I should have reported his ass for tax evasion. My last 3 checks with him, he didn’t run them through the payroll system to avoid paying his taxes because he couldn’t afford to. He has since changed the name of his company. Figured he’s done run another company into the ground so he started over for a 3rd time. But I wasn’t the only one he did this to. Every employee he had at the time he wrote checks instead of running it through the payroll system. And I am still friends with a few of them so they can say the same thing. I have my proof. I’m not to worried about having to prove that just worried how long it will take to clear this mess up.
February 17, 2019 at 10:41 am in reply to: Anybody change to Take Action 1541 during update last night? #4276102Filed 1/28 accepted 1/29 I have path credits. Was at 1 bar til Saturday then updated the take action 1541. Can’t see my trans online. File the same every year 2 kids head of household. The only thing I can think of that I would get this message after reading everyone else is that my last employer didn’t report all of my wages. I even had to fight to get my last paycheck from him and didn’t get it all. I knew I should have report him for tax evasion. My last 3 checks from him he didn’t run them through the payroll system because he couldn’t pay his taxes. I have my paycheck stubs showing I made $2400 more than what he has me making. The pay stubs say non 1099 as well. I did the right thing and reported all of my income and now being punished for it. Ugh. Tuesday I will be calling and if I have to throw him under the bus I will.
But my luck if I wouldn’t have claimed it he would have adjusted his shit. He’s an ass. Like I worked for him from June 11th to August 29th and he owed a company in Florida that went under then he recently changed his company name again. He doesn’t know how to run a business. And he’s an ass. Lol. I’m just pissed. But I have my proof. I have everything I need to prove my end and what I actually made. I kept everything. I can prove it. That’s the only good thing I see out of this. Let’s see him prove his part. I hope they get his ass and he completely shuts down.
I filed on 1/28 and was accepted on 1/29. I have credits for path but never got path message. I had 1 bar generic message then woke up today to take action 1541. The only thing I can think of that would cause me to have this is my last employer did not file all of my income but I did. I have proof of everything. He decided my last 3 paychecks that he couldn’t pay his own taxes so wrote us checks without going through the payroll system. But on my checks it states non 1099. So I filed them. This also affected my return by about a thousand dollars that I would be getting back. I’m calling the irs Tuesday morning and letting them know this. I’ll even fax them the check stubs as well. That’s the only thing that has changed or would cause an issue. And from what I’ve seen this code can mean income verification. I’ll throw my last employer under the bus real quick. I had to fight to get my last pay check from him and still didn’t get it all. I’m pissed
The ones who can see their trans. When you did file? We’re you a Pather? Did you ever update to path message? I file 1/28 accepted 1/29 Pather had 1 bar until this morning then get hit with that take action crap 1541 code. I can’t see my transcripts online but did order them Wednesday. I will call Tuesday and have them faxed. Ugh.
