I most be the lucky man in the country, I just recieved a letter for the state of ohio saying I had to take an identity quiz, after completing the quiz it said i’d havto wait 3 more weeks to get my refund . along with waiting on my federal that has been sitting in limbo since jan 20th still no change transcripts still just the 570 and 896. wmr still one bar
Sry I forgot to ask but has anyone in the same situation recived a ddd on refund and had this issue resolved?
after veiwing my last 4 transcripts I noticed i had a 570 code on my 2012 return and it was held up till April. that year i got so combat letter . In the end their was nothing wrong with my return I got my full refund . But yet i was held up under a manual review for whatever reason .. no real explanation from the or the t.a i spoke with that year. When i looked at this years transcript and compared them to my 2012 and seen the same code 570 I knew the irs was gonna try to mess with my return again.
I filed my taxes on 1-20-2015 accepted 1-20-2015 still one bar on wmr cycle date of 20150402. I ordered my transcripts Friday and viewed them online same day and noticed i have the 896 code along with 570 . after reading some people response to this code I called the irs 15 min ago . I got someone on the phone pretty quickly . She looked at my account and told me its a freeze on my account .She also told me that it would take an additional 2-3 weeks. I don’t owe the irs any money i had my a.c.a. takin out of my refund . I was told their going to being looking further into alot of account with the a.c.a. So it made me wonder if we are being singled out since we filed our taxes honestly. And our there others without th 896 being held up .
