I did. Verified on 2/7 when I received the letter and got my DDD last Friday for the 23rd. Took 2 weeks and a couple days from verification to DDD.
I’ve filed with TT/SBTPG for almost 10 years and every year I have gotten my refund either on my DDD or the evening before. It’s the Wednesday eve/Thursday after Pres. day. Never fails. To answer your question people want answers, not theories. It’s worse to tell desperate people to have hope every day, making’em check sites every 10 min, and upset when it’s not there. It’s painful for those looking for real answers. It’s better to set real expectations.

Let me start by saying this, no bank is obligated to give you access to fund before the DDD. Most traditional banks don’t even do that. Non-traditional banks do but it’s actually a “loan” because they see a transfer coming to your account. Early direct deposit usually only works with recurring deposits like payroll and/or state and federal deposits because they are guaranteed to clear.

@Jessica and with that you have the peace of mind that you know it’s coming, and when to expect it. I’ve been doing these boards for years and it took a few tax seasons to realize how certain things work. Now I atleast know what I’m in for when I accept having fees taken out. I still come here every year hopeful, but have solice knowing ultimately how it will end up. No reason to get frustrated, it’s better than paper checks, and we’ll all have our money no later than the 23rd.
@Jessica No, SBTPG is the advance bank. It’ll go to them first, then they will disperse to CK after outstanding balances are paid. That part they facilitate quickly, but they don’t send to CK until they have the money in hand, which is usually the day before the DDD.

You are correct. If you had paid your fees upfront then it would have been sent straight to your account. If you got an advance then it would go to that company and be subject to thier policies (i.e. CK) and if not it would go directly to your personal bank, and be subject to thiers. Most banks apply credit before the actual payment is transferred, but SBTPG waits until the transfer is complete so they can get paid in full for fees before releasing the rest of the return.
No, SBTPG does not hold your money, they just don’t pre credit it upon transfer notice. They wait until they actually receive the payment to take fees and do transfers. Alot of banks offer “2 days early” and they credit the account upon notice of transfer, not completion of transfer. The later is what SBTPG uses. They wait to be paid before dispersement of the rest of your return.

Yeah, I saw that too, but I’m not gonna expect the 23rd and be pleasantly surprised if it any sooner lol
I have had the fees taken out of my return for years, and I never saw the deposit any sooner than the evening before my actual DDD. SBTPG doesn’t release the funds until they get the actual payment, not the notice that it’s being sent. People who get thier deposit early do so because thier bank credits the account for the expected amount of the notice before it actually receives the payment. I wanted to set a realistic expectation based on past experience with SBTPG and how they work.
@GoFigure Mine were the exact same as yours have been. Woke up a few hours ago and finally had transcripts on top 2 (instead of NA) and my bottom 2 were still blank. Looked just now and all 4 are done with 2-23 for DD. Filed 1-23 and got a letter on 7th to verify.
