Finally received my return (adjusted) amount on 4/20….. via DD, deposit was showing around 11:30pm ET on 4/19 as it was deposited a little early I guess. Hopefully all this helps someone in the future… don’t forget your 1095’s, no matter how many you have!

Today, Easter of all days 4/16/17 I logged in to WMR and noticed I had 2 bars, my adjusted amount which was what I had the efile program tell me after editing the required form they requested. I now have a DDD of 4/20/17. I am glad that the 2nd bar is lit and it says Accepted, I’m hoping they possibly make it sooner, but finally some information back… as I was probably going to call tomorrow but now that is unnecessary.

Hopefully it comes via DD by 4/20 or earlier. I was under the impression from the girl I spoke to that I’d be receiving it “paper style snail mail”. A DDD of 4/20 would be significantly better!

As of Sat 4/8/17 I still have 0 bars since speaking to the IRS rep and both mailing and faxing in my 8962 along with other requested documentation, which was just the 2nd copy of the letter regarding the 8962 form.

I filled the form out through H&R’s program because no normal human being would be able to fill that out by hand. I am just crossing my fingers that software they recommend, as well as documents they gave me, are all proper and in order.

They received my paperwork via USPS on Monday April 3rd, 11am’sh… USPS tracker states “April 3, 2017, 11:25 am Delivered, To Agent COVINGTON, KY 41016 ”

So it’s only been 5 days, they did tell me that I’m now on the 6-8 week cycle, whether that means it takes them that long to approve, or after approval that’s how long it will take. The agent I spoke to said I would probably be getting a papercheck in the mail instead of a DDD, after giving them the info and everything…

I know my refund amount is lowered due to the 8962 and healthcare assistance they gave me, but it wasn’t by much. I can still log into WMR and see 0 bars, and it just says:

“Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.”

Well hopefully I get lucky one random day I’m not expecting it. As for my state refund return of a whopping $29, I received my check from the state yesterday (4/7/17)

WMR updated today, but not really. I can still log in with my original refund amount (which is going to get lowered from what H&R’s program showed me after updating and printing my 8962. However it just says “You’re tax return is still being processed, a refund date will be provided when available”. However the bars disappeared.

So maybe they got my faxes yesterday, no idea to tell, they will still get the information in the mail Monday…. but hopefully the faxing got through and will get them to give me a DDD.. or a sad papercheck mailed out.. which honestly hasn’t taken long for anyone it seems, at least not 6-8 weeks like they originally state.

Everyone that has “Lost” their bars from what I have read, had eventually had them pop back up and eventually got a refund returned… still crossing my fingers!

@jane you should be fine. As for the topic 152 I think everyone has that this year, or a large majority from what I have read. It pretty much means you ARE getting your return… and it’s not an issue, so just ignore it.

Thankfully I called yesterday and was told I was getting the 8962 form, I mailed it back this morning after filling it out in H&R PC Program.. it was ridiculously confusing, asking me to put in 401% of the numbers in line 2a subtracted from 2d, etc.. just nonsense. Thankfully HR’s program printed the same form I got in the mail out for me perfectly after I put the information from the 1095-a into the proper field… it’s kinda like it knew. I had health insurance all of last year, so the state 1095 I got said X for 12 months, but the stupid 1095 from ACA (Obamacare/marketplace) had me down for 2 months (I had to pick up insurance as I was dropped my another provider, then picked up again)… to be honest the dates didn’t even look correct, but they did it, and the IRS got what they requested.

I Priority Mailed the required 1095, 8962 forms, and copy of the letter they sent. I also added in my updated refund amount that the program showed me at the end (it was -160sh after updating)… so I guess they really couldn’t afford to lose that 160 since I went over the “threshold” or whatever it was called by $160.

They should get my paperwork Monday based on my tracking # provided by USPS Priority Mail, I also faxed the information in, 2x, so they probably got the forms like 2x’s via fax today.. and they’ll get the same stuff in the mail Monday down in Covington, Kentucky or wherever I sent it heh.

I called to see if they received the faxes, they had no idea, too many departments, not same office, etc, I understood. She said it would take 6-8 weeks from the time they receive the requested documents… I wasn’t told exactly what that meant, whether it meant they’d Approve and Send my refund, I am guessing that I won’t get it through Direct Deposit and that is the typical “average” waiting period to receive your check.. I really hope it doesn’t take them 8 weeks to receive this paperwork, I know for a fact they will get it Monday… depending on what or if they do anything with it right away, or anytime next week… I am crossing fingers hoping they mail me a check sometime next week, or even better get my refund via DD.

Anyone ever have to send a 1095/8962.. can they still issue the refund via DD, or am I simply waiting on a check… because I am guessing that’s what the 6-8 weeks meant… I know they tell everyone that, but I know people that E-Filed and got their paper checks within 13 days. I am not sure how lucky people have been doing paper filing and mailing… god I hope my envelope doesn’t sit on a desk somewhere for 3-4 weeks before someone gets to it… ugh, frustrating.

I just mailed back my 1095-a and this ridiculous 8962 form, adding in the information to my HR PC program lowered my refund by roughly $150, I guess I went over my “threshold” or whatever they called it by 150sh last year. I slapped a tracker and priority mail on this so nobody can claim they didn’t receive it. My WMR will probably never update again, who knows. It still stays Status 1, and nothing else. I have a new Refund Amount, but the old one still works to show me the Bar(s) on WMR. I’ll have no idea when they receive my forms they requested (I actually will w USPS tracking # + priority mail), but it could sit around their mail room for weeks so who knows. This has been the worst year for taxes for me, the state gave me back a whopping $29. In past years, where I had worked off the books, and earned less on the books, I always received at least 8-900sh, usually over 1K from the Feds, and always at least 200 from the state.. this year, after earning a huge 21K, that I busted my butt off for most part of this year (last year 2016) thanks to losing a colleague (laid off), and I had to fill in all his shifts, therefore I actually earned more money than projected, thanks to the ACA people I got my estimated gross income adjusted when I realized I was going to make more than we initially agreed upon. They were always the nicest and most awesome people… too bad ACA will most likely be destroyed in the next year or so.

Sorry to be blowing up the charts here. I actually decided to go back into my HR program and add the missing information into it’s appropriate field, it lowered my refund by roughly $130, so not too bad. It also printed out Form 8962, all properly filled out (the one the IRS lady said I would be receiving). THANKFULLY it printed out of the program because I honestly would have no idea how to fill out that form, it was asking for %’s, blah blah blah… yikes.

I am not sure if it re-filed, I am not sure if that is allowed, I put everything through, DD as before, and everything said good to go.

I did briefly research the Amending process of a return, and it did not have any information or seem to require anything regarding 1095’s. I am hoping I just did the right thing, if not I guess nothing to lose. I may have to mail the form back in.

My WMR still says the original amount, and it has not updated since speaking to the agent on the phone, nor so after I just “re-filed”. So who knows what is going to happen.. I knew that this would be a mess, 2 months, barely, I had ACA (Obamacare). It’s now in there, I have the forms ready to mail… I will just wait to see what they send in the mail and their instructions, the lady did say it needed to be mailed back in.. so if that’s the case, it’s covered…. if anyone has any information regarding “refiling” and Amending…. please let me know. Everything was 100% accurate the 1st time around besides the 1095 form (rather the 2nd of the 2 1095’s I received, one was 1095-a, one was 1095-b)…..

I hope that doesn’t require an Amend, I don’t believe it should, if the H&R program said it was good I believe them… it’s just crazy that she said they mailed me the paperwork out on 3/22 asking for this and I haven’t received it, same with the WMR site… what would have happened if I didn’t call or receive the paperwork? And our Postal Service barely shows up everyday, and usually around 5pm ET. Ugh!

                    @littlejimmy2000

So I spoke to a very nice women at the IRS who said that I am currently still under “Accepted” and Processing because I did not include my 1095, which I did. I did have ACA for a part of last year, the form they sent was just 1 sheet and we overlooked it.. now they said they are sending a Form 8962. I found it online, it’s a little confusing since the 1095-A (Fed Marketplace) is literally one sheet, and looks like they could have possibly had something cut off the sheet as if the sheet was too wide… I know, difficult to understand what I am saying.

I can fill this form out on my own and either fax/mail it in. And then she said it takes about 8 weeks after receiving that. I am wondering if it would just be quicker to go back into the H&R program and re-file…. I would just have to add this information in… but I am not sure if that is allowed. Can someone Re-File, or do I pretty much have to just do this form.. looking at my H&R program it just looks so much easier than this form…. Please help!

@Vasoline Glad to hear you got yours. I still have not received mine, nor any updates besides Status Bar 1 (Accepted), it’s been 18 days, if there were any discrepencies I would imagine they would have posted something by now. Everyone I know that has either filed before or after me, DD or paper check has received theirs by now… If I don’t receive my deposit by tomorrow I am debating calling if I have the time, I am thinking about calling today since I will not have much time tomorrow due to work.

Just wondering what the hold up could be… just weird, and not fun waiting.

                        Here’s something to laugh at.

My sister filed Sunday 3/12. She asked for a papercheck, she never bothered to check WMR, if she did she did not tell me. She received her papercheck on Saturday 3/25… so roughly 14 days and she received her refund, she has a kid, I do not know how she did her taxes, I do know she e-filed on the same computer with the same program.

I filed on the following evening Monday 3/13. I asked for Direct Deposit. I have been checking WMR on a regular basis, it just has Accepted, and Topic 152. I paid for the DD when I e-filed, (like $15usd). I have still not received my refund, I have not seen absolutely anything change on WMR.

How is it that someone who filed the same method as me, only asked for a paper check instead of a DD… gets their refund quicker than me? Why do they even claim that doing DD is faster.

I just found out from my mom that her and my father both received their joint deposit today, and they filed after me, I believe she said they filed and were accepted on 3/20.

I am single, my taxes were probably the easiest thing imaginable… yet it is taking them longer then everyone else in my household, we all filed the same way, my sister got a papercheck before me, and now my parents got their’s DD today (3/29), but still not me… mine still says Accepted… Step 1, and that’s it.

The only thing I can think of is they are mulling over the fact that I switched insurances last year, I had one from work that dropped me, and then I was elgiible for NJ Family Care so I took that. I received a 1095-(a?) or b?, I forget which, it said I was covered 12/12 months of 2016, which is true. There were no discrepencies when we finished the file besides the fact that one of my two jobs sent me a W2 for $160… and 2 of the fields, SDI, and UI/FIA I forget which, were under .50 cents and we just had to round it up to “1” because it would automatically round down (to the closest dollar), it would not accept 0’s, so we put 1’s, for $1. If they would like me to pay back a few dollars, rather deduct them go for it… just send my deposit I paid $15 for to be “expedited” thanks to the trusted words of the IRS which state Direct Deposit is “Faster!”…. yeah well, my whole household has received there’s, 1 member filed a day before me, got a papercheck before me, parents filed after me, and received their DD today (before me)…. I don’t get it… it’s almost 21 days, I could wait until Monday where it will be 21-22 exactly, since filing…. I am a little worried, especially if I do not receive mine by Friday.

Anyone got any information that could help, or a decent # I could call where I could speak to a person, thanks!
