2nd year filing for IS. Last year sent by mail, this year, I e-filed with Injured Spouse form via TT and was accepted 1/30. Got take action 1541 on WMR on 2/7, stuck there until 3/1 when WMR changed to Refund has been accepted and being processed but no DDD. Hoping I get update end of this week… but if I am being honest, I hope I just suddenly get the money DD, lol! From what I have read, WMR is not reliable source of when to get refund, transcripts are best way to find out. I do not have access to online transcripts, tho :(

Talked to someone on the 1800 number ext 312 on my take action page on WMR site. I already knew this was the case for me, though – my injured spouse is waiting to get reconciled. The freeze was there to prevent my offset. My 1040 is completed and I was given the 11 week spiel by the rep I talked to. I have done some snooping around and saw that this is typical for IS filers. Hopefully, I get early DDD like some who are getting it on the 27th!

Call your bank / credit union and ask if (1) checking account is still active (2) is the account still open.
If you filed married filing joint but that account you set the direct deposit to go into is not a joint account, then it will be rejected and you’d have to wait for the turn around time for them to print out and mail a paper check to you. This is because when they transmit that direct deposit, the check will be written as “Pay to the order of: Your Name *and* Spouse Name . That makes it non-negotiable to the account with only Your Name as the account holder.
WHEN you do receive the paper check in the mail (which you will, unless there are other issues) and you don’t have a joint account, just be present together when depositing or cashing your check. Bank / CU will have to verify both your ID’s and signature. Also, make sure you bring the copy of your 1040 (tax paper work) so they don’t put the amount on hold. Sometimes banks will do that if you do not have regular large deposits (paper check) going in your account.
Best of luck.
Best of luck.
I cannot see my transcript online but from what I have been reading, the 846 means refunds have been released and the date next to it is the deposit date. Best of luck!
