What a joke this year with new bank & H&R never had a problem in 15yrs I’ve been with H&R. I complained to customer service @metabank then emerald card that they tell u to call when u ask about ur refund reads a whole paragraph about path act till 1st week of March smh. Ppl getting dd through other banks chime netspend etc. they are gonna lose a lot of customers this year. H&R should’ve never switched banks they can hold it 8-15 days it says that INSANE 🥺

I’m pretty pissed. If I knew SBTPG would cause issues with me not receiving my refund earlier I would have paid my fees beforehand. This is crap they need to mention on TT before you file. Never using TT again.

I never looked at a transcript but I filed and got accepted 1/24 and had path message and then two days ago it said received and processing and today I got DD with cahsapp but the deposit is pending however funds should be available soon my tax lady said wow that was fast! WMR still giving same received and processing message.

I have Wells Fargo too and dd for 2/24 but Wells Fargo usually sends the money and won’t send it to your account til the same day meaning 2/24 I’ve had Wells Fargo for years and that’s how every year I get my taxes

DDD 2/24- transcripts changed overnight last night , from them owing me money to my account being at 0, after I received the 846 code! That must mean the IRS has already released the money (I assume).

Used turbo tax w/fees being taken from my refund, and deposit going on my turbo card I used last year.

Hoping someone w/same situation might possibly update here if they receive their actual deposit any earlier!!

Have no faith in SBTPG to update in a timely manner , lol.

I filed 01/27 accepted 01/28 and got my refund 2/16. BUT they didn’t add my CTC. Did not get advanced CTC. 48 hours later my transcript updated with a
766 credit to your account 4-15-22 X,XXX

The amount matches what I should get from CTC, but no 846 will this deposit separately??

They send me emails too. But both text and emails are a day delayed. I checked and saw an update yesterday and then today, I got the text about an update.

That’s the text. I deleted the link because that would take u straight to my info. I’m pretty sure when u file they ask if u want text messages with updates. I always say yes and enter my number.

The money comes out of H&R Block TurboTax simultaneously so when they pay H&R Block it goes right into your account the same day I’ve been using H and R Block and TurboTax 20 years never had any type of delay

I just looked at my return and realized the $1500 payments I received aren’t on my return. I’m hoping they will correct this on their end and do it promptly. Anyone else have a mistake in their return and got transcripts/processed?

I will never use TT because of SBTPG again… I don’t appreciate them hanging on to the funds when I could have received the funds much sooner by using just about any other service

@Mari228 I’m in the same boat here. I thought if we didn’t have fees through TT that it would skip TT and go directly to whichever account we put on the return. I’m so confused to see this $40. I’m actually hoping it skips SBTPG and goes directly to my Credit Karma because I have no fees to pay TT. If it takes that $40 I’m gonna be livid.

I’m thinking I got the 570 code because one more my dependents turned 18 in July 2021. I didn’t get any ACTC payments for her in 2021, just for my younger two. But I was told I could claim her on my 2021 tax return as a dependent until she is 19.

I don’t have 971 , just 570 and the refund amount hasn’t changed.

Anyone think that’s why?

Filed with TT, paid my fees upfront, denied refund advance, stuck with CK account. Im being charged $40 for absolutely nothing by SBTPG. Now my refund is going there instead of straight to CK and now I wont get early deposit because SBTPG does not do early deposits, trust me I know! My whole issue is I paid fees upfront so I wouldnt have to deal with SBTPG, cutting out the middle man and they are receiving my refund. Why?

i got the 971/570 as well but no notices when i check on my online account. the refund about is about 4k less as well. The number of qualifying dependents was listed as 3 when it should really be 4, as my kid was born in november. hopefully they are just verifying the new ssn and i will process next week

Transcripts were N/A from 1/31 to 2/17. Recieved codes 570 and 971 today but found out they forgot a dependent and tried making an adjustment. All is fixed though and was told I would receive refund in between now and mid March. I also got the good codes but obviously not 846 yet.

I use HRBLOCK every year. I do direct deposit, have them take fees from refund and I looked at last year. My DDD was 3/11 and it was deposited on 3/11. I’m sure the rep just has to say that. I don’t think it’ll be 10 days. They also have a tracker that they text me, I can see that they’ve gotten my money already.

just got off phone with metabank. the lady was very unhelpful and kinda rude. basically stated they dont send the funds to the banks till the DDD date and then there would be another delay for the bank to release it to us do to they way its sent.. i guess its time to boycott metabank and traditional banks. they make all their money on holding our money and charging random hidden fees

The same thing was said last year about people having to wait three or five more days after their direct deposit to get their money and everybody ended up getting there the day before or on the day of their direct deposit best topic pops up every year and people freak out for no reason. I’m sure a customer service person did tell you that that way it gives them a little room for error but I would be shocked if you have a direct deposit for Thursday if you don’t have it by Thursday
