I just wrote my congressman and both senators. Follow the links below and you can easily shoot off emails. Let’s gt some action on this!

I saw this somewhere else and it made me think a good step to take would be to contact our representatives. Maybe our congressmen and women can help us!

I’m still waiting. At this point, I’m starting to think it will be months, not weeks, before this gets sorted out. Seems those of us in this position have slipped through the cracks. No one that has any power to fix it even knows we’re still waiting.
@Ashley- interesting question! I have been wondering something about that, as well, because my tax refund for this year is being held. I owed $300 from 2017. Long story, but anyhow I paid the money I owed with interest and penalties in March, but somehow when everything shut down my check was cashed, but my account hasn’t updated. I think you’re on to something. Sadly, who knows how long it will take to get this sorted out. :(
Based on the lack of activity here, I’m guessing most have either gotten their stimulus or a date. As I type this, I am still showing the same, tired “We will update when we have a date” business. I don’t understand why I’m stuck in this black hole.
Still not date, still no money. Seeing that so many others date was updated makes me feel like mine is not coming this week. I don’t understand why since we all updated our DD info at about the same time.
I submitted by 9 am on the 15th and as of just now, the portal still hasn’t updated for me. So stressful. I think the only silver lining is that *if* I get the deposit on Thursday, that’s also my regular payday so I don’t have to pick and choose which bills to pay- I can pay them all. At this point, I have bill collectors calling me all day and the amount of stress is just intensifying daily.
Greg- that was my understanding.
As for the switch to paper checks- could it be because Trump has put his signature on the checks and wants us all to bow in gratitude at his feet when we get the check?
Brian- are you saying that you were supposed to get a direct deposit, but they mailed a check instead and it’s coming today?
I’m reading that the folks who got their $ deposited this week got the IRS portal update on Saturday. So, on Sat 4/18, people got the portal updated to say their checks would be deposited on 4/22. If that’s true, the portal is truly only updating once per week on Saturdays for checks being deposited and set to hit banks Wednesday. At least there seems to be an end in sight for this black hole we’re all sitting in, but Wednesday is a lifetime away for some of us.

Nuts and bolts of it is that the second round of direct deposits started yesterday- IRS is behind schedule on getting this done. I hope this is correct.
I’m in the same boat as all of you. I updated my DD info by 9am CST on 4/15 and still get the notice that payment date will be updated when available.
