@SadSally – look at your accounts transcripts and look near the bottom, there should be a refund amount with the date of 04/07/2021. We are both weekly updaters on Friday it seems so both of ours should have the same DDD.
Here are the trends I am seeing. If you lost bars and TT152, then TT152 reappears with tax refund missing and replaced with Tax End Year December 31st, 2020, then expect your next update (if you are daily – Wednesday with a refund date of the next Monday; weekly updaters – Friday with a refund date of the next Wednesday) to have transcripts/DDD. The reappearance of TT152 with tax end year is a sign that it has left errors department and placed into queue for the computer to issue your refund.
Good news guys! I am a weekly transcript/WMR updater – ugh. BUT my transcripts update on Fridays (WMR on Saturday mornings) and my 2020 transcripts are now available with a DDD of 04/07/21. If you are a weekly updater on Fridays, then your DDD will be the next Wednesday.
I was in the error department from the date I was accepted, 02/12/21 until 03/26/21. Now I am back in the regular department awaiting to be issued a refund. Ugh.
I decided to call the IRS yesterday evening. The rep told me my return left the error department on March 26th (matches with the change on WMR) and into the department that issues the refund. She also said the 21 day period begins all over again once a return leaves the error department. Not that it will take that long but that they are allowed to take that long to issue the refund. Based on others accounts when this occurred, it looks like a 12 day turnaround to direct deposit.
@SB I remember my sister getting that in the mail and I was like dang I hope this isn’t telling you you’re being audited because you have the simplest tax return ever! She opened it and it was confirmation that they had issued her the second stimulus via direct deposit. Then days later she received her direct deposit but her WMR always reflected that it was only received. So it was a surprise. LET US HOPE that will happen to us! I just received that letter yesterday too.

I HOPE receiving that confirmation of receiving the second stimulus is correlated with receiving a tax return instead of it just being a fluke that she received the letter shortly before getting her direct deposit. LOL. I filed February 9th and still nada.

My line 30 is not filled out because I received the 2nd stimulus back in January BUT I did just receive the letter in the mail from the IRS confirming that they direct deposited $1,200 from the second stimulus (letter dated March 19th… quite the delayed notification!). My sister received this same confirmation letter the week received her tax return in late February; even though she received the stimulus back in January.

I filed 02/09/21 and accepted 02/12/21. My WMR changed to “still processing” with no bar, message, etc on 03/06/21 as well. Then on Friday, 03/26/21, WMR updated to reflect the TT152 notice but my refund amount disappeared and the Tax Period Ending December 31, 2020 shows. It has not changed since then. Still waiting…
