Yep. It sucks but lesson learned to keep debts in good standing. My spouse owed a state tax debt that I didn’t know about and they took all our refund. I filed IS, but now will be waiting likely months to get my portion back. If you pay your debts I guess you’ll never have to worry.
Yes. It basically meant, for us, that the ddd was the date our money was applied to the debt. We didn’t see any of our refund on the ddd because it was all taken for spouse’s state tax debt.
