I filed 1/19 accepted 1/19 1bar no other movement. I filed using Tax Act, quick question
If i dont have my prior years tax transcript, how can we tell what the cycle is? I see the numbers 20160194 is the cycle code?

Typically netspend deposits from 9am to 9pm as soon as its received. I normally would get deposits around 10 to 11 am but it sometimes as late as 5pm.

My 2/1 date disappeared too . Last year i didnt have fees taken out so i never checked SBBT – i wonder what’s going on … I will never file early again …

So I did my taxes with TT. AS I ALWAYS HAVE for the last 9 years!!!

Was accepted the 19th! The where’s my refund TT APP tool says it was accepted the 27th?! Weird.
Up to this morning the irs refund tool only had 1 bar. Now this morning. NO bars. All disappeared. This happened last year and there was a MASSIVE hold up on my refund. With NO letter. No explanation. I am self employed now, which is the only change.
Tried to access my transcripts. Only option on its website is to do by mail and it says they aren’t available. This sucks. Totally stressing me out because I was planning a trip in 2 weeks and thought for sure id have my refund by then since it will be 4 weeks from when I filed. But it’s not looking good. Although I’m praying things turn around for the best. =(

I filed on the 4th and was accepted on the 11th … no movement anywhere yet. just one bar … SBBT is the bank that TurboTax gets it fees thru if you have fees taken out of your return . I have a DDD on that website up until today and now my date is gone … Not able to order transcripts. Last year that was the key to knowing when you were processed . I am confused as to why it’s taking so long , and why all early filers didn’t get an update, but yet have no offsets and nothing holding it back? … I’m confused . im just going to wait until it updates . Tired of hoping for it everyday …

AmberJae it has nothing to do with who you filed with. Once your tax preparer has sent it off and got acceptance, it’s all up to the IRS to approve it. I filed with TT and still have nothing. They are coming soon. Keep in mind the IRS didn’t start processing until after the 19th so in reality we are only 8 or 9 days in.

As of today no known debts was found for the SSN that’s what it says today yesterday it says a debt was found and gave me a 334 number to call to check on it

The Thank you email from TT is only sent after TT has received their fees for using their service.

I filed on 1/19/16 and received a email about two hours later that said the IRS accepted them and I was done filing my taxes. I’ve used TT since 2009, still only one bar on wmr and processing….WTH IRS??? It makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only one going through this torture of waking up to that one orange bar every morning… Good luck guys and girls hope it changes for us all VERY soon.

Its not what time Netspend deposits, but what time the bank sends it and that I do not know. A lot of place accept ACH transfers at certain times throughout the day like Chase is at 230 AM, BOA is at 430 AM, Etc. (those aren’t accurate times, just examples) and some places have 2 different times that they accept. So everybody that uses those banks will get their ACH at whatever time the bank accepts them. However, with Netspend, Greendot, Etc. they typically accept them anytime, because they do not place holds on the funds until they clear. So, whatever time they send it over to your Netspend card, is the time that it will post to you account. That answer isn’t the precise answer you were looking for, I know, but its the best I got and I saw that nobody was answering your question. Typically the IRS/SBBT sends funds late night/early morning. So, if you don’t have it on your card now, it probably wont be there until the morning.

i filed 1-7-16 through turbo tax and was accepted 1-11-16. its crazy that ppl who filed early have barely gotten approved yet those who filed the 19th or later have. im not trying to complain but i dont see the fairness in this. i just pray for an update soon monday will be 21 days. never again will i file early

@David – mine did the same and on FB a lot of other TT users said the same so hopefully…maybe..it means they are updating and we will receive funds soon.

I am usually on a weekly cycle (funds always received about 10 days after filing) so I didn’t expect to receive until close to Valentines day but I filed early this year (18th accepted on the 19th) so I was hoping that I received it earlier. If nothing this weekend I expect it by thursday.

Can you be more specific when you say you had an offset yesterday? Did you receive a letter or was there a tax topic of 203?

It usually says you have a debt, then once it changes to offset that means it has been paid…. I’m assuming if it is gone altogether then you probably owe nothing more and your refund is on it’s way to you.

Does that even apply to me if I used free file version and DD? All of us early filers obviously got screwed, for whatever reason we have all been skipped over. It’s not fair and it sucks really bad, but there’s nothing we can do about it, we’re just lowly American citizens after all. I for one will not be filing early ever again. That’s apparently what we get for being responsible people. I am beyond pissed off, but again, nothing I can do but wait and commiserate with all of you who are in the same boat.

Filed on the 25 around 5:15 accepted around 5:30 called the offset line yesterday on the 27 and had a offset called this morning on the 28 no offset only one bar and no transcript can somebody tell me what that means for offset not to be there anymore

So there was a post earlier where someone said the IRS rep told them there was a glitch last night, resulting in no updates. Did anyone get an update this morning? I just want to confirm the validity of the Agent, not the caller… Because that could be code for a hack attempt, or delivery.
