Mailed amendment on March 26th have not received any information went in the Where’s my amended return website and it says that my information doesn’t match their records is their others having the same problem

Pat, that link does not lead to the 1040X, most people here I’m certain already have the form but in case they do not you can find it here https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040x.pdf

In gathering paperwork to file my 2016 return, I realized I did not claim my older son (15 and 16 at the time) on my 2015 return so I amended. I mailed it on December 15th, 2016 via regular old postal mail. I waited 3 weeks and checked WMAR on 1/5/17 to see it had been received on 12/20/16. As of 2/4/17 the WMAR tool shows ADJUSTED 2/3/17 and that I will receive information in 3 weeks. Consequently also on 2/4/17 via postal mail I received my 2015 and 2016 transcripts and my 2015 Account Transcript shows 846 Refund Issued 2/13/17

Now we just wait for the check to arrive.

I sent mine but USPS on 3/30/15 and it showed received in Where’s my Amended Return on 4/6/15. I amended 3 years….11, 12, and 13. You gotta make sure you enter the exact information you used on your most previous return. If that definitely ain’t working, call the IRS directly. It’s a process which they say can take up to 16 weeks, but from what I’ve read from others, it happens much quicker for most people. WMAR does not show all amended returns though, so depending on what you amended, it may not show. I changed filing status and added a dependant and it shows all 3 of my amended returns. Hope this helps!!!
