      Is anyone else still waiting on unemployment due to being laid off from this Covid 19 pandemic?

      I was laid off in late march. I applied for unemployment around march 28th. Got my award letter for my weekly amount which is still nothing.

      Certified for my benefits when I was able to and then received a letter telling me I had to verify my identity. I dont understand why when nothing changed from my last claim in 2019 but I sent in everything they asked for.

      As of today april 29th 2020 it has been a month and a week since I filed. A month since I certified(every other week so I certified twice already) and almost a month since I sent EDD the first message asking for an update.

      I understand the overhaul they must be experiencing so I’m not really complaining but it’s difficult when you are struggling to make ends meet even with a savings.
