Transcript pattern

I posted this on a thread but now I am curious

My transcripts have a pattern, does anyone else’s? . If nothing the irs is a creature of habit. Not I will say I Was only on the path last year and this year. My ddd has always came 3-4 days prior to my processing date- except last year during the shutdown.

2016 Pr date 2/23/17
Ddd 2/20/17 Monday

2017 Pr date 2/26/18
Ddd 2/22/18 Thursday

2018 Pr date 2/20/19
Ddd 2/23/19 Saturday

2019 Pr date 2/17/20
Ddd ??? 2/14? 2/19? 2/21?

2016 actually received 2/17/17 Friday
2017 actually received 2/21/18 Wednesday
2018 actually received 2/22/19 Friday

I Have never looked at transcripts much, but find it odd that my ddd on my transcripts don’t match my actual direct deposit date, the only one I can remember is last year.

I also found it odd that on my 2017 I had a 420 (examination of tax return) opened on 9/22/17

And a 421 close of examination of tax return on 5/23/19

I was never aware of it until I looked at my transcripts this year.

Seems quite a few find their dates off, give or take, by a few days! Pather here, last yrs dd was the 26, Feb. Filed 28, Jan. I anticipate the same this season!

Many times, we are unaware of codes attached to our return. That’s because the IRS sorts it out then continue processing your return! The error code will harmlessly remain in your file however.

After hours of hold time, amp several phone calls to reach someone who would tell me more than the standard path act or 21 day speech, i finally go thru to a helpful person. I wanted information on filing a hardship claim of anything else if I was going to have to wait until March for my refund. I was told by fhe time I went they the process my refund would be sent. My processing date is 2/17 as well. She said I should she an update soon (but wouldn’t specify) of a ddd 2-3 days after my processing date. So 2/17=2/19. 2/24=2/26 both of which are Wednesday’s. I’m hoping she wasn’t giving me false hope
