Tax return offset- has anyone received their offset payment yet?

My tax return was originally seized and set to DOE but I found out it is going to be returned to me due to Covid. Has anyone received their returned refund checks yet?

Just to give someone some relief. I filed 1/24 accepted 2/3 and got put on a review for 60 days got my letter dated 3/9. I emailed my congressman 4/4 and got a reply with congressional inquiry form 4/6. Got approved with offset code on wmr on 4/25 with dd 4/29. I was worried they would take it and today got my ddd with my full return in my bank account pending.

My taxes were set to be offset this year but i just got a DDD of 4/29!! I filed 4/9 and just got the update on 4/25.

I actually received mine today, which was a huge surprise. The check was for my federal tax refund which was garnished for my defaulted student loan. The check was dated for the 21st of April. Just wanted to give an update! I am in Michigan m

Do any of you know anyone who has been approved in April? Curious if we will just get the refund from the IRS directly or have to Wait for more hoops and call DoE

I’m on here looking for updates as well… it’s definitely coming soon. A friend of mine received her refund back on Friday the 24th so I feel mine will be here soon. And I need it now more than ever!

I filed 2/26, had my refund taken 3/5 due to student loans (DOE). I spoke with a doe rep this morning who verified that I was eligible for a refund and that I had been approved on 4/21/20. So st this point it is just a waiting game for the check to come.

Our DD was 2/26 they took the whole thing. Got it in the mail today.

I filed my taxes in January. My refund was offset and settled on March 12th. I called the DOE two weeks ago and they told me I was getting a refund and to expect the check in the mail in 30-60 days. Just checking to see if anyone had received theirs back yet

wmr mentioned the offset to me, but the taxes were still deposited in my account last week. Still waiting on stimulus tho, has ddd of tomorrow

Haven’t gotten mine either – representative said it would show as a negative payment on myeddebt.ed.gov when they cut the check to send out
