Anybody ever got this message in the past? What did it mean for you?
If you don’t want to wait you can get a Live Agent on the phone
800-829-0582 Ext 652
I just spoke with an irs agent who told me that you our returns haven’t been delayed until February 15th (which we already knew). I called because my status says Take Action: YOUR RETURN HAS BEEN DELAYED. Which has never happened before. I filled head of household with 2 dependents. The agent also told me that the return review process starts on March 4th and that it could take 45 days after that to receive my received. I’m still confused!
@ Greeny
So more than likely, it will still probably be a short delay? Most people with EIC and actc will get a ddd this week or weekend. This take action message will probably not give a date this weekend, right?
I got the same message mine is due to my wife habing an offset and because i filed as an injured spouse . the lady at irs said to disreguard the message it will go away when they finish provessing injured spoise part of return
Hope this helps
@Spre
They are owed something, it’s called a paycheck. Would you work for free?
Ok
I have not, but we will see:)
So Spre or ibbbjawww….. Have you guys ever had this message?
I agree with Spre
It is not, it is a generic delay message. The only time you need to even attempt to worry is if you receive a letter. IRS is extremely behind right now. This is what happens with employees don’t show up for work, like they are owed something.
Its an audit. I got one last year when the IRS tried to cheat me out of my EIC credit. Had to send them copies of my daughters birth certificate and school records etc.
