I am still being processed and received my 2nd sixty day letter. I spoke with the irs during the middle of July they said nothing was wrong with my taxes they were just really behind and that I should receive my taxes prior to the ending of the next 60 days

I filed on feb 5th 2020 says that I’m still processing, I have tried calling the irs for 2 days in a row and receive same message, due to high call volume please try your call again the next business day. This is so frustrating I think they need to hire more people if they find themselves this far behind

If they send out another stimulus, will they use your 2019 tax return if it finally processed after the first stimulus? They used my 2018 on the first stimulus because my 2019 was still processing but it finally processed and I received my refund. I don’t have a dependent on 2018 but one on 2019 and I didn’t get the 500 on first stimulus. Just wondering if I would get dependent on second stimulus?

My fiance and I filed on April 14th. I have received my stimulus and my tax refund however my fiance has not received anything. WMR says it’s still being processed and a date will be provided when available. He only claimed one of our 3 dependents, while I claimed the other 2 and I’m not understanding what’s taking the IRS so long to approve and send out his refund. He starts a new job tomorrow but we really need his refund. I have no idea what to do here.

“Why wasn’t it publicized that the IRS is closed and checks will not be processed until further notice”
Why because they dint want people storming the IRS HQs and taking over or freaking out and being the reason for the start of the Boogaloo.
Man the IRS are quick to take your money but slow to pay you your money. F the IRS!!!!

I E-Filed with Direct Deposit on Feb. 5th (12 wks. ago)! STATUS: Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. … This Status has been showing since Feb. 6th!!! Before the Shutdown, I spoke to a Live Person and was informed that it was Being Reviewed; however, my status hasn’t changed! WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RETURN?

RichardD, yes, as far as I know, that’s pretty much the only way you’ll know. Check your mail every day. If you get a 5071C letter from the IRS, then respond as quickly as possible. When did you file?

I e-filed through credit karma on 3/18/20. My refund was accepted on 3/19/20 by the irs. This is the first time I’ve filed income tax since 2008, as I have been in federal prison. I didn’t get out until November of 2019, so I only made $794 in 2019, so you would think it would be a simple return. It has been 6 weeks since the irs accepted my refund yet it continues to say still being processed. Is there anything I can do to get the real status of my refund.
You’ll probably have to IDV.

Danny, I don’t really know. Do you have an account set up to check your IRS tax account? If so, check your transcripts. Or try to set up an account. Sometimes the mail is slow or gets lost. I wonder if a TA can get you through the IDV, if it’s required. Should be able to tell you what the holdup is. Or contact your U.S. Representative.
-

Good point @Thicks. What if you’ve been listed as still processing for over two months now though with no mail? What can an advocate really do?

So people are getting their refunds but their WMR hasn’t updated from still processing? Fingers crossed that’s my scenario.
Meh. That was me, a little over two months ago: frequently checking WMR and my checking account online. But then I got the 5071C letter. So, I wouldn’t waste time or stress about that remotely possible “scenario.”

Lina Camille Hall, if you **don’t** IDV, the IRS will probably figure your return was an attempt at tax fraud. However, once you **do** successfully pass the IDV test, you **should** get your refund within three weeks — they’ll say up to nine weeks — provided they don’t encounter any other issues when processing your return. They haven’t started processing yet.

I received my tax return last month, but my WMR is still showing that it’s still being processed… it was mailed to me. I am worried this status is the reason I haven’t received the stimulus check.

For those of you missing out on EIC funds b/c the IRS is going off your 2018 return, it’s temporary. You’ll get the rest when you file your 2020 return.

My “get my payment finally updated and let me put my direct deposit info in it. However, my 2019 refund is “still processing in which I have a dependent on it. But they asked for my 2018 info in which I don’t have a dependent on that. Will they use my 2018 info and send me the 1200 because my 2019 and only give me the 1200
Instead of the 1700 that I have the dependent for in 2019? -

Mine says being processed and my husbands says still being, back in march there was a 570 tc that was the last time i was mailed a transcript
-
April 23, 2020 at 8:15 am #4421570
Dallas, in my experience, “Still being processed” means **waiting** to be processed. Nothing is happening with a return for which such a message is assigned on WMR, because the IRS needs something. In my case, it was IDV.
“We have received your return and it is being processed” is a more fortuitous message, though there are some who still get 570 TCs with that message.
-
April 23, 2020 at 8:02 am #4421563Dallas
So are the refunds coming out of “still processing” eventually. Is there any certain time frame?

Accepted on feb.2. Been saying still processing. Here it is 4/20. Stimulus says eligible but no back info. Filed through h&r block and got an emerald card. Any thoughts on getting help with them having a family of 6 and little to no work right now with everything that’s happening. Thank you

I got a DDD for 4/22 but this my help someone. About 4 days ago I reached out to United States senator Richard Shelby, asking for help with my refund, I had filed in January and it was stuck processing after I idv and it was holding up my stimulas money. They put someone in contact with me today willing to help me, I emailed her back and let her know I finally updated to a DDD. But someone may still be able to use this information.

I filed on 3/30 using TurboTax. Married filing joint return. It was accepted immediately and now I’m sitting at no bars on WMR and “still processing a refund date will be provided when available.”
Normally, our returns are processed on the weekly cycle. Our transcripts are still blank for 2019 with nothing for return transcript, yet.
-
April 20, 2020 at 12:24 am #4417673Fmhelton
I know it’s frustrating waiting on this money that you need, I filed in January and am just now getting a DDD of 4/22.I was like a crack head constantly checking for updates and getting on here to see what I could find out. When the stimulas money started rolling out I didn’t get it, I would check until I was locked out on the IRS site. I felt as though I was at my breaking point… I updated on that the same day my info on WMR updated. I have a DDD for both on 4/22!

Just as a follow up, my 2019 Federal taxes filed and accepted on 03/18 are “still processing” but I checked for my stimulus status on the website and it actually updated today from “cannot verify eligibility” to getting paid on 04/22.
This must be the 2nd wave of payments coming in for those not processed yet. The site also had the correct last 4 digits of my bank account of where it’s being deposited. I should qualify for the max of $1,200. Let’s hope all goes well!
-

I filed March 25th. Mine is still pending as processing. No stimulus check either. They are saying they can’t verify my eligibility for stimulus. Can’t call anyone because their offices are closed. I’m at my wits end with this. I need that money to survive and feed my kids right now. This stupid pandemic has cost me income and my son’s father passed away in the middle of it.

Angie I’m in the same exact situation ! I filled and was accepted 2/3 . Same status , same info when I called , told to do nothing but wait , I did move last year and I do have a new bank account also . I actually did get my stimulus payment … on the new account . I got it Friday afternoon on my chime card , so I know they have the info …. so just out of curiosity I tried the stimulus log on and it wouldn’t take either address … I’m so frustrated

Help! My federal was accepted on 2/2, the IRS website it says “ Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” I have tried calling multiple times with no luck, sent emails through the site with no luck. Never received any letter in the mail for needed to be IDV. And when I try to get my stimulus status it won’t accept my address (moved last year). Won’t accept old or new address, I’m literally about to cry.

I filed my tax return on March 14 it’s been more than 21 days and I haven’t received it. When I check the status it’s still being processed I also have not received Stimulus and when I tried to track it it stated I was eligible but needed by bank info. Which I provided for when I filed. So it asked me for my 2019 tax refund info and then says it not valid
-

Here is a link to check the status of your stimulus https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof-wmsp/notice
My status is also still being processed and when i check the above link to see the status of my stimulus it says no payment status available. I did receive my state refund. Hopefully i will get the federal and stimulus when the IRS finish processing my taxes. -

Hello i efiled in feb 18 and my refund is saying still being processes its been more then 21 days
-
April 14, 2020 at 9:38 am #4405067Frustrated
@thicks….I am stuck still processing.Filed 2/26.TC 570. But they used my 2019 return to send my stimulus check. It is pending in my bank acct. How do I KNOW that they used 2019?because I did not recieve the 500 for my child that turned 17 during 2019.Now with that info…..WHY?WHY NOT JUST EITHER SEND LETTER OR MY RETURN WHILE THERE VERIFYING?So yes, people ARE getting the stimulus pymts while the IRS is delaying their refunds.

My tax return was accepted 1/30 and mine is STILL saying “still processing” Got a letter and stated it needed an 8962 form, Tried faxing in beginning of March, ended up mailing. Still no movement. I’ve tried calling, they are not accepting calls, their fax lines are saying “busy” every attempt. I need my return now more than ever.
-

Josh, your economic impact payment will not be affected.
As for your return, have you checked your account transcript?
-
April 14, 2020 at 12:21 am #4404564Josh
I have the same problem with the tax topic 152. Still processing. I hope this doesn’t mess up my stimulus check. Does anyone know if it will

@Samantha Flory, some of the things that have helped some others have already been posted — in this thread and others, in the pages of older posts.
Can you view your account transcripts online? What codes do you have? Have you received any letters?
What is “sat return”? “Tax return”? “State return”?
-
April 13, 2020 at 8:39 pm #4404215Samantha Flory
I filed my sat return late January after I got my W2, fast forward to mid April and I still haven’t gotten it, and it still says, “your tax return is still being processed” What should I do?

April 10, 2020 at 6:58 pm #4401456
@Dana, in MY experience, it was 2 days after they took the word STILL out of my WMR message that it updated with a DDD. The change in the message was on 3/5; WMR gave me the DDD (of 3/11) on 3/7.
-
April 10, 2020 at 6:20 pm #4401415ProudFatherOF1
@Dana might mean something for you unfortunately mine been said that since March. If your transcripts reflect 846 your in the clear
-
April 10, 2020 at 6:18 pm #4401412Dana
Ok my refund no longer says “still processing”. It now says is being processed. Not info has changed on my transcript and there are no codes that shouldn’t be on there. Is this a sign?
-

My tax return is showing “still processing, a refund date will Be provided when available “ and my tt 152 is gone , my amount still shows. I filed 3/12 and got accepted 20 minutes later . Am I getting my refund or does this mean something else, should I be worried ?
I FORGOT TO MENTION – I order a transcript and it’s been 13 days now…. it never took long for a transcript to arrive , yet irs mail came for my spouse a week ago.

If you get a letter to ID Verify, you will have to do it online, you can’t call to do it, tell the IRS opens up again. IRS updated there website today April 9, 2020..

I efiled my federal taxes thru H&R block on 03/18 and still no refund. I checked on the App and also got the “still processing and date will be given” with code 152. I claimed the EIC credit so don’t know if that is the hold up. Last year my refund was issued within 19 says. I haven’t received any tax notices so I will just wait. Interesting to hear others are still waiting who filed theirs before me.
-
April 7, 2020 at 10:04 am #4400097PatrickGR
My refund has been saying it is processing since late Feb. it was accepted on 2/13/2020, I do own a home but it is now 4/7/2020 and it is still processing with tax topic 152. You can’t speak to anyone because no one is there.

@Jeromey I F/A 2/21 lost bars 2/29 called 3/6 before my 21 days and was told I needed to IDV. Got letter on 3/14(Saturday) Verified 3/16 passed went from “still being processed” to “being processed” on 3/18. Transcripts updated this past Friday w/new address. Couldn’t get transcripts w/new address Friday before last

Mine was approved 01/30/2020
On 02/05 went to “your tax return is still being processed, a refund date will be provided when available”.
Nothing in the mail.
Spoke to two people, they said same thing. That I just have to wait. If nothing changes by 4/23 to give them a call back. -

Does anybody know the number to fax the form 8962?
-
April 6, 2020 at 10:20 am #4399909ProudFatherOF1
@Jerry it can be for any number of reasons mine stopped processing because of ID verify so I had to do that before they had closed. I would just call when they open back up to find out exactly the reason you stopped processing
-

My return was accepted on 2/29,used to have bars, now for the last 2 weeks it says still processing. We used Turbo tax, a family member did the filing, he said he couldnt add the healthcare stuff because it didnt come up, that must be it. Now I see where turbo tax had some glitches. I’ve not recieved any letters from the irs, will they correct it for us,its 37 days today.

I have a question:
Filed my 2018 tax and had direct deposit that account is now closed-
Just Filed on Apr 26th my 2019 return and it is “still processing/no bars no topic” yet my wife and I filed joint and her status say “processing with bars” (strange)
Anyway my question is if you filed your 2019 taxes electronically even though its in process will the IRS use that routing info and bank info.
Just a note no transcripts show any routing and bank info!
Thanks for the help.

I had to submit a 1095 and 8962 form which I did I filed feb 3rd and still says processing I faxed it all like I was suppose to and now you cant even talk to anyone this is bs. I’ve never had any issues before till this yr all because I filed before I had even received my 1095 I forgot about it since I only paid for 2 months.

Well I am still waiting!! F/A 1/30 still nothing! No letters tax topic 152. My 8 weeks was up 3/30. Since IRS said that there was a glitch in system during transmission and it would take that long to process. Oh well hopefully I will get one day. Received NC state friday

April 4, 2020 at 6:15 pm #4399655
@whk32504, there’s a thread on the topic, “2020 Economic Impact Payment discussion,” with some info.
But, in brief, if they haven’t processed your 2019 return, they’ll use your 2018 return.
However, they’re still working to process returns. They may complete your 2019 return before they get to your EIP.

I haven’t found any info about the rebate covid 19 checks, maybe someone might know the answer. I filed sometime a few weeks ago, no letters, nothing, but it still processing. The IRS has not filed you tax return , if it still processing, there have only accepted the return. Now, when they start processing the rebate checks, would they get the info, from the return that is still being processing. Thanks for your help.

April 2, 2020 at 1:15 pm #4399033Frustrated
It is not even the hold that has Americans frustrated,it is the lack of transparency.Codes and unclear verbiage and IRS jargon.Just be straight with ppl tell them IMMEDIATELY why the hold and how to correct it.I bet I cant tell them to hold on for 9 weeks to take taxes out of my check….there will be penalties imposed.THIS IS OUR MONEY.But they act like they are doing US A FAVOR.
-
April 2, 2020 at 1:06 pm #4399031Frustrated
Still nothing .filed and accepted on 2/26 .TC 507 still processing.Nothing has changed from last year.I think they are holding our money to gain interest and pay the stimulus checks. The IRS needs to be drained.Tax payer advocate, which is your right, you no longer have access to. COVID19 has showed a lot of the sickness that we have in other areas of America. Our govt is bailing corporations out with our tac money but we cant even get our returns on money that we loamed them to stay afloat.BS.

This is just a crock of shit!!! F/A 1/30 turbo tax. Tt 152 and still processing this morning. Was told by IRS that it went to errors department and to give it 8 weeks. Well 8 weeks was 3/30. Received no letters!! Transcript still N/A!! I am so frustrated bc I can not get a mumbet to call the IRS. At least my state finally moved to refund accepted a couple days ago. . Just wish that I could at least call and talk to someone at IRS 😢
-
March 31, 2020 at 12:49 am #4398556ProudFatherOF1
@SoYouMadToo Unfortunately you can’t rely on what your tax services give you it’s only a estimate of what they use. The WMR is more accurate. As far as the message from WMR sumthin is holding your return up could be 5071C(ID verify) which was my issue, wages, credits etc. only way to know for sure is by calling but you can’t do that either since they out of office. I would call your local tax office and see if you can get through to a live person. You might have to leave a message
-
March 31, 2020 at 12:38 am #4398553SoYouMadToo
I filed on the 10th of March. I had the status bars and then they disappeared on the 28th saying it’s still being processed and a refund date will be provided when available… I did mine through h&r block and it shows it’s to deposit on the 1st of April. But the IRS site took the refund status bar away to still processing.. why?
-
March 30, 2020 at 5:12 pm #4398450Tammy pangaro
This is crazy. I received the letter and submitted the for 1095A on March 9. It still says your return is still processing. And my original date of filing was January 30 Now you can’t reach anyone on the phone What is going on.

Why do my taxes still say processing
-
March 30, 2020 at 10:34 am #4398371
Mimi, unfortunately, it sounds like they’re not taking calls at this time. The PFI has them expediting processing and I’m sure they’re running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to figure out how to implement the recovery rebate.
This health crisis has thrown everything out of whack.

I filed on 1/28 went to still processing on 2/15 received letter on 3/7 asking to fax 1095 & 8962 (insurance forms) faxed on 3/8 and my wmr are still saying “still processing” and transcripts are blank.
-
March 29, 2020 at 12:39 pm #4398220
Kim, I guess it depends on when they send you the recovery rebate. If they send the rebate before the process your return, they’ll use last year’s info — if it’s valid for you. I’m sure they won’t send the rebate to an account if the information doesn’t match up.
I wouldn’t worry, though. I don’t think they’ll get to the rebate before they get to your 2019 return.
-
March 29, 2020 at 9:08 am #4398173Kim
I had to IDVerify. I did that online on the 18th. I have to ID verify every year. WMR says my refund is being processed. My question is will the IRS use this years tax info/direct deposit info for the stimulus deposit. I filed so even though I’m still waiting on the refund they should use this years direct deposit info. Right?

@zandria I never had any bars to begin with.
My starting message since I filed was we have received your refund and it is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.
I then id verified beginning of March and that Saturday my return status said, we have received your refund and it is processing.
Still no bars and no updates since then.
I am just getting impatient since January filing. -

Thick’s year I did thru turbo tax. Received a letter from my senator here in NC today to mail back a dorm for me to fill out for advocate and to let him know my problem with IRS
-
March 27, 2020 at 2:42 pm #4397680
Kim (@booger369), did you e-file through Turbo Tax? I’ve read on here that some of those didn’t transmit properly and the IRS had to enter them manually, and that seems to push the processing time parallel to those who mail in their returns.
In (at least) one of these threads you can read the story of filers who had similar experiences.
-
March 27, 2020 at 1:04 pm #4397652
Thicks
No I did not have to verify anything at least that is what I was told. No letters at all. They just told me that it was an error during transmission. The only thing I see in return transcript is N/A but account and wage has 2019 and when I open account it just says as of February 24 2020 no return filed and same on wage
-
March 27, 2020 at 12:53 pm #4397647
@booger369: Kim, I don’t think your return transcript is available until AFTER they process it. The account transcript is the one that has the pertinent information.
Did you have to IDV?
-
March 27, 2020 at 12:41 pm #4397644
My account transcript is available and wage just not return Transcript. My account transcript has no codes but an as of date of February 24 2020!!! So guess I will get lucky one day
-
March 27, 2020 at 11:42 am #4397617
For those of you checking WMR and cannot see transcripts online, it’s a day too early to get frustrated. Mass WMR updates are on Saturdays. If you still see that dreaded message tomorrow, then you know you’re still waiting. But today it won’t have changed the message from what it was saying yesterday.
-
March 27, 2020 at 11:33 am #4397607
My transcripts updated today but the only thing that updated was the accrued interest and penalty dates which just now changed to 04/13 it was and has been at 03/09. This is pretty ridiculous I recieved my state February 3rd quite awhile ago. This is all the sand codes 03/02 processing date and all others 04/15. And stuck on 570 code.
-
March 27, 2020 at 11:18 am #4397598
Mimi
I called state and they said no red flags just call back after April 12 th if I haven’t received my refund. So state does not see any issues. Just no problems in the past with returns. Maybe it is an error issue I just hope they resolve it soon. I did here from other forums that there was a major glitch at the beginning of the tax season.
-
March 27, 2020 at 10:32 am #4397585

I am so fed up this year! My husband is so angry about it, I am just glad I have some money coming in to keep us sustained through all this madness. But, come on irs release our money and stop putting it all off.
I filed 1/27 and will never file early again. -

@zandria that is different I never heard or seen that message before umm I would either wait and see if it updates this weekend or just call first thing in the morning to see what could be going on and if it’s even processing. I don’t have bars or amount either

Anyone gotten theirs back yet after they id verified? I verified us March 6, and the next day I went from your refund is still processing. a refund date will be given when available to we have received your refund and it is being processed. No date yet.
My transcripts are blank the date went from March 30 to April 6.
And yes I do know that it could take 9 weeks for it to process from the id verify but, I feel that is excessive. -
March 24, 2020 at 4:06 pm #4396773ProudFatherOF1
@zandria That sound like two totally different messages in one. Does it state. “We have received your tax return and it is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available”. Or does if state “We have received your tax return and it is being processed”. First one means it’s not processing due to whatever reason another means it’s being processed
-
March 24, 2020 at 3:46 pm #4396766
My bars have disappeared. Wondering if anyone know what this means? The verbiage is ‘your refund is still processing and is still bing processed” Anyone know what this means?

That’s not even bad I filed my taxes Feb 13th and still have not received mine! Ridiculous!! When I finally got to talk to a live person they told me everything I already knew! The only new information they gave me was if I didn’t receive it by April 27th to call them!
-

@Mitch
It’s possible if you haven’t received a letter stating you were under review or have a 570 on your transcript.

March 17, 2020 at 8:46 pm #4394984Mitch
hi. I just have a question filed 3/2 bars disappeared with still being processed with tax topic then last week I updated to being processed with no tax topic. Do you think I will update this week with a DD? im weekly 20201105. Transcript code 150 and 806 only

Mine was still processing since 2/17 or so. Got 3/18 date Sunday night. Be patient if you haven’t gotten a notice.
-
March 17, 2020 at 6:09 am #4394774Mimi
@Kc
U may want to call again. I know I moved and had to ID verify and a couple other ppl as well. What does wmr say? -
March 17, 2020 at 5:04 am #4394770K.C.
Sadly, I’ve been in the same state for weeks… I even called them to see if there was an issue. I filed February 3rd, was accepted on the 4th… I have no children, and have direct deposit. Waiting this long absolutely suckz, especially since I moved recently. (I asked if my moving would be an issue. Was told it wouldn’t affect anything.

March 16, 2020 at 8:37 pm #4394721Mimi
@thicms
I will have to agree with you thickness, almost everyone who have encounterd the ” still being process” message have had some sort of issue. I did. I had to IDV as well and after I fixed my issue the message changed to ” it is being processed” 3 days later.
-
March 16, 2020 at 7:53 pm #4394713Alex
Mine had that message for like a month but now I have a date! Hope everyone else gets one too.

March 16, 2020 at 1:34 pm #4394460
I filed on 02/05 accepted the same day. After 3 weeks the bars disappeared and I got the STILL PROCESSING MESSAGE. I was checking every day and finally got a DDD. March 18th. Just for other people in the situation.

@justpeachie, I can’t speak to other people’s experiences, but I’m going to stand by my interpretation. I think “still being processed” DOES mean something is wrong — that your return’s processing is pending for some reason. For me, it was because they wanted me to IDV. Once I completed the IDV, I went to “being processed” at the next update. I suspect, though, that if I had been able to IDV a day earlier, I would have gone straight from “still being processed” to a DDD like you did.
-
March 15, 2020 at 2:50 pm #4394013
I’ll agree to disagree. If it were as you stated, I’d have went to processing from still processing, but I didn’t. I went from still processing straight to a ddd. If it were as you stated, I’d have went to processing before getting a ddd.
Truth is, it seems to be different for everyone. But I don’t want people scared something is wrong, simply because WMR says ‘still processing’ & that is likely not the case.
-
March 15, 2020 at 1:59 pm #4393993
To anyone thinking there is a difference between processing and still processing, there may be a difference but it does not effect when you get a ddd. I went from no bars/still processing/tt 152 to 2 bars & there was nothing in between.
Still Processing means that your return is still being processed.
I disagree. It seems to me that “…still being processed” really means “waiting to be processed.” It means nothing is happening; they’re not actually doing anything, it’s pending something. “Being processed” appears to mean they’re actually looking at the return and processing it.
-

I filed 1/27, got my id verify letter 3/9, Wednesday it went from still processing to we received your refund and it is being processed. After that I have had zero change. I looked at my nonexistent transcripts that originally just said nothing on file and March 16, now this morning still nothing on file and March 30. I swear March 30 would be hell to have to wait! 2 damn months when the typical wait is 21 days or less. Irs really ticked me off this season. I cannot wait until this is all over.
-
March 14, 2020 at 7:36 am #4393471
Hi@. I was accepted 1/30 no credits. Still processing tt 152. I was told a couple weeks ago that my return was not transmitted correctly theu turbo tax and it was being corrected. Lady at irs said no letters and it could take 8 weeks to process. I am in NC and still no state refund either. Will call Monday to see if they can give me an update
-
March 14, 2020 at 6:52 am #4393461Tracy
My 150 code was March 2. My 570 was March 2. My 971 was March 9. My 571 was March 2. My 846 is March 18. I received my notice March 10th. I have checked transcripts daily. When they put my refund date in, they put that it was resolved the 2nd same date as the 150 code. So, it maybe that 16 days after your 150 date, will be your DDD. Positive vibes for everyone…

I’m in the same boat filed accepted 2/21 lost bars info that next Saturday. Ordered transcripts 2/29 still haven’t seen those. Called last Friday was told I need to ID verify haven’t seen that letter. Already pawned my tv and soundbar so my son and I can eat until I get my food stamps since they out of school because of this outbreak

I filed feb 9 around feb 20 something it changed to still being processed blah blah and it’s still like that I called all numbers spoke with multiple people and to just get told wait 45 days and no updates and there’s nothing I need to do. What’s the necessary reason for all this? It’s ridiculous
-
March 13, 2020 at 3:06 pm #4393233Nick Marra
I filed with Liberty tax this year, my refund was accepted on the 8th of February 2020, I have received no Id verification through the mail, the bullshit irs website has said processing, a refund date will be provided when available for a month. Idk what the hell is going on, I’ve called the 1 866 829 1040 irs number and it just says the exact same thing, absolutely nothing. This is the 13th of March, with no change at all, WTF?

@Margaret1, I’m confident it won’t take 9 weeks; it should be 2-3. But I sympathize with your concern. I felt the same way as you when I read my letter and heard the same spiel from the IVO rep who provided my IDV service. At the same time, I’d been reading this forum and knew to expect a quicker turnaround.
-
March 13, 2020 at 3:05 am #4392849Margaret1
Yes at 20 days i got a letter to verify… Two days later it went from being still processing to we received your refund and it is being processed.. Grrr what dose that mean now lady said it may take 9 weeks
-
March 12, 2020 at 11:53 pm #4392816
@KC, there’s only a very small chance you’ll wait that long. You’ll most likely get your DD within two weeks of IDVing.
-
March 12, 2020 at 10:51 pm #4392799KC
I had to verify identity , after verification states could take additional 9 weeks so not expecting a return until mid May :( this is ridiculous.

March 11, 2020 at 6:38 am #4392021
All I know is turbo tax can shove that email right up their ass!! Will be calling them this morning. I will NOT pay them the $190 they want to deduct from my bank account! My return was accepted on 1/30 but according to IRS they never transmitted my return so it has to be done manually and I will not receive my refund if I even get one until at least the end of March.
-
March 10, 2020 at 9:14 pm #4391842Will
You figure with all the people having the same problems with delays this year there would be something on the news about it or at least irs would have the decency to put out a statement about what the delay is about
-
March 10, 2020 at 9:06 pm #4391831Tina
We’re in the same boat. Filed and accepted on 2/6/20 then on 2/24 bars went away and says still processing on 2/26 received a letter saying we’re under 60 day review starting date of letter which was posted the 2/24 date. Transcript has 570 with 3/16/20. Was told the 3/16 date is the date they will start reviewing and processing but not sure how true it is considering we’ve been told multiple different things.
-
March 10, 2020 at 8:47 pm #4391822Sam
My status is Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. I did electronic filling on 2/6/2020 is anyone with same situation ?

@ Taxheadache2020. I have the exact same date idk either😒

March 10, 2020 at 1:45 pm #4391606
I just read they have a new software this year so it’s pulling almost everyone for a “review”. Total bullsh*t! My transcripts have a 570 code with a 3/16/20 date. WTF does that mean? Going bonkers!

Still processing I don’t know how long is going to take. Very disappointed 😔 -
March 9, 2020 at 10:55 am #4390912
@Mahlahprones, as the letter explains, they send it because they feel there’s a chance someone other than you has filed using your information. It’s a means of protecting taxpayers’ identities.
In my case, I’m sure it’s because I hadn’t filed the prior 3 years and this time my return has an address from a different state from before.
-
March 9, 2020 at 10:46 am #4390906Mahlahprones
I received a ID verify letter on Saturday. Just called and all they asked was questions from my last tax return. They probably have sent the letter to you if you ever called them but didn’t know at least one of the ID questions. That’s why they flag.
-
March 9, 2020 at 8:47 am #4390835Baishisme
I honestly don’t understand this, if I owe money the irs is quick to snatch it but when they owe money it’s ok to keep it refund for 30-45-60 and someone told me they filed last year on Jan 25 and didn’t get their return until August 6th. I got my 4464c letter on the 12th of feb for the review and my refund status says being processed
-
March 9, 2020 at 7:15 am #4390791ValerieOK
Going through it right along with you girl! No update for me. Got letter 2/27, WMR still processing. Transcripts still show 570 with a processing date of 3/16. ☹☹☹

I filled feb 5 was told when I called I was place under review starting March 16 and wait 45 days from that date to call. Was also told no letter was sent and everything looked good. So I don’t understand the review. I really could use my refund.
-
March 8, 2020 at 4:18 am #4390487
I filed my return on Jan 24th and it got accepted that same day as shown on my state tax but for my federal i receive both credits and it’s been a month that it says its been received and is being processed with no update yet. My friend received almost the same amount as me with credits too and she filed her return 2 weeks ago and hers didn’t show an update but she got her direct deposit on the 4th of this month

I filed January 27th have claimed same kids for 15 years nothing has changed. I’m under a damn random review I’m about to lose everything due to surgery I had to have so behind on bills. This is ridiculous I worked all year don’t make shit to began with now I can’t get my money till when irs decides to give it to me. This shouldn’t be aloud. When their owed money there’s penalties well shouldn’t they have to pay a damn penalty

My question is my sister filed 2/13 with all credits. She received hers 2/26… Whats the hold up? Did the system go down and everyone who filed certain days get red flagged? This is madness. I filed late hoping and praying to get refund within 2 weeks. But it seems they’re so behind I won’t see mine till April .
Filed 2/26 accepted same day

Im calling a tax advocate tomorrow to see if they can help. I seriously make about 12 grand a year, I’m poor as shit, I’ve been claiming the same child for 11 year. Why fk with me.

They are sending early January filers late letters at the end of Feb without even giving the courtesy to get an update via their website where everyone is logging into the system to check for their updates. They knew they were going to send a letter that can get lost in the mail, so why not use the most convenient technology available to provide a timely updated notification regarding the account instead they have people ordering transcripts.

Called IRS today.
I filed on 2/6 and was accepted on 2/6.
They told me they have no data of my tax return. I filed.. I received my confirmation and everything was accepted. So I have no clue what the hell happened. Not t mention how grossly unprofessional the IRS rep was. Smacking food on the phone and talking to other reps while I’m just trying to get answers. Where do they find these people… I just want my refund lmao 🙄 -

@JenK, now that seems like some mess, to advise not to go off of transcripts! Maybe that rep didn’t know what you were talking about. If your tax account transcript doesn’t contain what’s actually going on blow-by-blow with your account, then what good is it?
I think you’re right; once you get outside of what the reps have on the scripts, then they probably know little more than most of the rest of us!

March 4, 2020 at 3:54 pm #4388753JenK
Called just now was told my bank rejected the refund questioned because transcripts have code 971 and 570 the woman stated we advise not to go off transcripts and allow 4 weeks for a papercheck from this Friday. So I ask a few more questions and she kept referring back to rejected by bank. Called bank and there hasn’t been any rejections. LOL They have no clue it will eventually get here I know but if they would just be honest that would be nice.

-
March 4, 2020 at 4:14 am #4388418L. Hazel
This has happened to me as well. I contacted the IRS themselves and he informed me that there was a form missing during filing. So you may need to contact irs personality to find what’s the hold up and actually speak to a live person. I suggest calling early to get a hold of someone otherwise u will not be able to get through later. I contacted then about 730 am

So I filled my tax on feb 5 2020. I been waiting yes I have both tax credit. I called them today and was told it was processing tell March 16 then will go into a review for 45 days. How can they put a review on something that not processed? Any one else have this from the irs. I don’t understand they had it since feb 5.

You can request online at IRS.gov. You will need a credit card or auto loan or mortgage to verify your identity online but it is faster. That is how I got mi e.

How do I get my transcripts
-
March 1, 2020 at 8:53 am #4386782
This tax season has been nothing less than absolutely fucking ridiculous. I’ve been waiting past a month for my goddamn money and the IRS won’t even tell me what they’re trying to review or why it’s taking so long. Fuck being nice about this I’ve had it, this is MY MONEY.
-
March 1, 2020 at 7:28 am #4386777
My account transcript also shows an as of date if February 24 2020. What in the world does that mean?? I can not see my return transcript it shows N/A
-
March 1, 2020 at 7:26 am #4386776
So I have no idea what the shit is going on!!! I have no child credits nor earned income just deductions. I was accepted on 1/31 then received a couple weeks still processing and tt 152. Called the IRS and lady told me that they never received my return until the 2/5/20. Anyway she saw no issues just processing. I waited to my 21 days called again and no issues they said

Irs told my daughter to wait for a letter. Need to verify income. Letter came yesterday. DDD updated this morning. I think they are really behind and are just saying and doing anything to cover their asses. You can’t even believe what the agents tell you. They are being totally dishonest this year

“Processing“ is normal, but “still processing” means a review 98% of the time.
The review could be because of anything. I went into review because of claiming EITC and the fact that I did not file last year. For some, it could mean ID verify. I would just wait for a letter and if you don’t get one, call the IRS and make sure you get one! -
February 29, 2020 at 11:08 pm #4386661
So the codes on your transcripts will go a bit like this after you filed: 570 means they froze your refund for review.
971 means a letter was sent to you.
571 is when the “issue” is resolved and they lift the freeze.
It should then go onto 846 which is “refund issued.”
If you guys are stuck on 570, then that means they are still reviewing your return. -
February 29, 2020 at 9:14 pm #4386613Myria
It has been pass 21 days. It says still processing. I called and hear different things. One says the amount that was claimed they don’t see. Meaning they can be waiting for one of the employers to report the income. This is aggravating I reported 3 w2s. So I don’t understand what’s missing. When will I get my money? Ugh
-
February 29, 2020 at 8:57 pm #4386602
Thanks stace. I looked and mine says February 24 with 00. So what does this actually mean??
-
February 29, 2020 at 5:43 pm #4386538Moe
@lcar says still processing but I checked before the 20th and it told me on that I well get it on the 20th and then on the 20th it went to still processing I’m like wtf it told me the 20th and then it changed

@Elca
I got my transcript in mail today
I filed 1/28
Has account balance with correct refund amount … as of date: March 9
Cycle code 20200705
150, 766, 768, 570, & 971
Says (code 150) additional account action pending 3/02
My w2 isn’t reflected on this, but my selfemployment is. Refund amount is correct. No 846 yet of course…so maybe next weekend I’ll update, who knows -
February 29, 2020 at 1:31 pm #4386403
Still processing. Accepted 1/31 IRS says I have to wait on letter to do identity verify. Still no freaking letter. But I have received my state refund. Shit dont make sense! Transcript are all N/A.but does have a date on there as of march 2. I’m so confused.
-
February 29, 2020 at 1:27 pm #4386398maypower
@ProudFatherOF1 Maybe it’s just a “today” glitch then. I’m hopeful there are no issues. This is the first year I’m filing as self employed. I wish they could tell us directly what is wrong, if that’s the case,, rather than waiting on snail mail. I’ve tracked my refund so much today that I’ve exceeded the number of times to look apparently lol
-
February 29, 2020 at 1:22 pm #4386397ProudFatherOF1
@maypower I’m in the same boat filed @ accepted 2/21 had bars and info until 3 this morning lost bars info, msg went from”we received your tax return and it is being processed” to “ your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available” msg smh
-
February 29, 2020 at 1:05 pm #4386389maypower
I filed/accepted 2/25 and just got the “still processing” status this morning, no codes, no bars. :(
-
February 29, 2020 at 12:53 pm #4386385
Filed 1/28/20 “Still processing” since the 15th, no letters
IRS needs to hurry the fuck up
-
February 29, 2020 at 12:46 pm #4386384
In my experience “processing” is good, “still processing” is not necessarily bad, but I’m sure a 4464c letter is coming.:(

Mine “is processing”..both credits and filed accepted 1/28. Waiting …..

@Moe
Is it “still processing” or just “processing”? -
February 29, 2020 at 12:26 pm #4386371Moe
Mine says processing irs has everything from last year this sucks I don’t understand why the irs is doing this.
-
February 29, 2020 at 12:24 pm #4386370
Ok so now we know for sure that “Still processing” equals a review. I was also under “still processing TT 152” after the first big update, but today I woke up to a DDD of 3/4!
I claimed EITC, so I think that’s why I was under review. I guess the IRS really ain’t playing around with the credits this year. Good luck everyone! -
February 29, 2020 at 11:46 am #4386343Azuko
I was accepted 1/27. Didn’t have an update like everyone else did with the EITC and that got a date for the 2/26. I called irs was told last week I was chosen for review and to allow additional 60 days. This morning 2/29 woke up with DDD of 3/4. Hope this helps.
-
February 28, 2020 at 9:49 pm #4385891Bearhig61
WMR still has the topic 152 message and still says processing. Checked my transcripts and it had Code 570 for over a week. Checked this morning and now it has code 846 with a date of 03-04
-
February 28, 2020 at 12:24 pm #4385498Tina
Did the wmr update or it’s just showing on ur transcript I can’t see my transcript but when I called yesterday she said nothing was wrong it’s just still processing
-
February 28, 2020 at 8:13 am #4385245
I have had the “still processing” with TT152 and amount on the side for a few weeks now. Transcripts were n/a this whole time, until this morning. I finally got the 846 with a DDD of 3/4. I filed/accepted on 1/29 and think there were just a bunch of us who got resequenced. I hope this makes some of you feel better, not knowing is an awful feeling.

How do you ID verify online?
-
February 27, 2020 at 9:43 am #4384437TeaKuss
I filed January 22nd but had the EITC. Says its still being processed. Is that normal this year. I didnt get an ID verification or anything like that
-
February 27, 2020 at 9:16 am #4384394ddddd
“Still Processing” does not always mean under review. I had still processing, received ID Verify, did it online, then changed to being processed. Been being processed for 1 week now, updated on a Friday last time. Hoping for an update tomorrow.

Filed & accepted on 2/5 w/ both credits. Had bars & “being processed” until last week. Then bars gone and STILL being processed & TT152. Called today, system wasn’t showing much info, just that mine is still being processed. Asked about being reviewed, no just still processing. CSR mentioned she’s noticed ALOT more returns w/ credits are being reviewed this year. Hope this helps…good luck everyone!

February 26, 2020 at 8:47 pm #4383450Amy
I filed on 01/27 thru TurboTax and was accepted the same day. When I first checked WMR about 2 weeks later, it had 1 bar and TT152. For the last 2 weeks (at least) the bars are gone and it just says, “We have received your return and it is being processed”, no TT at all, no codes, do DDD date, just my amount and filing status to the left and I have not received any letters. Idk if I should call and see what’s going on or just wait because I did hace the EIC and the CTC.

@waina
Sounds hopeful.! I think everyone has been resequencing as a stall factor. Ironically people said 21 days after PATH message and the magic dateblloks like week of March 9 or sooner. Just a guess, but sounds good that u got at least a WMR update I would think and that STILL word is gone. -
February 26, 2020 at 7:20 pm #4383240
Still says still processing I called IRS they told me I was review fOr 60 days This happened to me before two years ago I didn’t wait The whole 60 days came before but now it’s just a waiting game she just told me stay on the lookout on my wmr app 😡
-
February 26, 2020 at 4:24 pm #4382815
Well I have heard so many different reviews and when I go to IRS tax topic 152 it does not say anything about a review or them needing any information. I am just getting more confused
-
February 26, 2020 at 4:19 pm #4382805
Mine was saying “Still processing” for about two weeks, called the irs and they said that a letter should be coming and that it was an random review. Today I checked the site and it changed to just processing and it still had my amount. Does this mean I should be getting my return soon, or I guess I’ll still have to wait the 60 days
-
February 26, 2020 at 1:31 pm #4382310
I was accepted on 1/31 and about a week ago got still processing and tax topic 152. Called irs and they said then that they did not receive my taxes til 2/5. Called today bc still same messages and lady told me no issues she is seeing. Did online transcript and it shows N/A for 2019. So I am hoping I will be next batch. I have no child credits or earned income credits
-
February 26, 2020 at 12:28 pm #4382129Taylor
@Renee no it does not. It could mean that, but not always. I have still processing and I just have to ID verify, no 60 day review. There have been tons of people who had still processing and got their bars back with DDD after a week.
-
February 26, 2020 at 10:42 am #4381724

I’ve tried called, all I get is automated systems. Filed on 1/29, accepted the same day. WMR says “still processing” my boyfriend filed weeks after me and got his refund today. No letter in the mail. What number should I call to actually speak with someone?
-
February 26, 2020 at 10:08 am #4381572annoyed
@Tia, for peace of mind it is a good idea to call.
-
February 26, 2020 at 9:58 am #4381545Tia
I filed 2/5/20 accepted the same day. Your refund has been received and is being processedWas my message until February 23 when it changed to still being processed. I’ve received no letter and no codes I can still see my refund amount and filing status…. is it with calling, or should I just wait it out?
-
February 26, 2020 at 9:48 am #4381505Luis26
So mine says “We have revived your refund and it is being processed” No tax code. I spoke with an IRS agent and he said I was under review because there was a $100.. dollar difference between what I reported as earnings and what the company reported. He told me to wait for a letter to arrive and to wait 60 days for the refund to be processed. Does it always take the full 60 days??
-
February 26, 2020 at 12:40 am #4379791Bb
What other websites are you guys following for information. I’m also under review. No letters just still process tax topic 152
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:13 pm #4379214
Yes the codes are coming from the transcripts. Most other people who are checking WMR are getting the Topic 152 code and that’s it. I ordered my transcripts to see what the h*ll is going on. We shall see.
-
February 25, 2020 at 1:39 pm #4377169Mygirls519
Just have a question for the people with the codes. Are these codes on your transcripts or on the IRS WMR website. My boyfriend filed 1 day after me and has the “Still processing” and just a tax topic 152 any ideas. Nothing has changed from when he filed last year
-
February 25, 2020 at 10:38 am #4376501
I received no letters at all and “Still processing”. I’m being hopeful that my funds get released by the 27th like ive read from some people and other sites. I’m hoping for some type of update by Saturday
-
February 25, 2020 at 9:48 am #4376338KeeshKeesh
WMR says still processing. Code 152. Called IRS and was advised that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my return and that I have to just wait it out but I’m so skeptical of this and worried
-
February 24, 2020 at 6:59 pm #4374282Msmith
honestly these people starting new threads to find out if money has hit their accounts need to chill. I can’t even find previous threads I was following because the first page is just filled.
Anywho, if my WMR say we have your refund and it is being processed, would that theoretically mean that it hasn’t been cycled through yet? I filed and accepted on 1/29, nothing has changed. I would think that if it says “still processing” it would mean it has been cycled but needs further review. -
February 24, 2020 at 6:31 pm #4374177Brittney
I was also pulled for review. My file just landed in the pike today. Notice was sent out feb 20th. Irs agent said I don’t need to do anything basically saying I was a random.
-
February 24, 2020 at 6:14 pm #4374123F**ktheirs
Just spoke to an IRS agent.. I apparently have been pulled for review for something so minor. My wages are off by literally $6.. this I don’t understand as I looked over my return 40x before sending it off. They say this review can take 60days wtf.. I have my transcripts but am not sure how to read them. Any help?

I filed 2/3 at HR Block and was accepted same day. Got the 4464c letter 2/14 saying my refund was under review. I called the irs the same day and the lady told me to just wait the 60 days. This is ridiculous. If it is ID Verify than just tell me so I can verify now! I’m debating calling back on Wednesday to see if they have any more info.
-
February 24, 2020 at 3:21 pm #4373487
If the WMR says still processing and to the left shows expected refund amount and bars gone
It is simply ID Verify.
And if tax topic 152 it still showing
You will get a letter from IRS to verify your identity
It’s simple process -
February 24, 2020 at 2:32 pm #4373333JazzThee
Soooo I just called HRB & they gave me a DDD of 2/26..( when the funds will be sent to my bank) Even though on WMR it says still being processed and a date will be provided when available. I also asked if there were any issues with my refund if they (H&R block) would be notified and they told me yes.. So if you can’t get through to the IRS, I recommend calling your tax preparer to see what info they could give you. I hope this helps!
-
February 24, 2020 at 2:23 pm #4373302
@Chloe Mine said the same and I decided to call them. Said that mine was under review also. Said that I would be receiving a letter. Does this mean we’re not getting our refund??
-
February 24, 2020 at 11:48 am #4372734
I suggest everyone who has the “still being processed with no bars message call the IRS. I did and they told me they sent me a 60 day review letter, which I got today.

I filed early January and accepted 1/27. No updates on WMR and no codes on it. Called IRS this morning and was told my refund was selected for review there’s no action needed on my part but to allow up to 60 days to process and check wmr daily. They said it doesn’t always take the full 60 days, has anyone else ever been reviewed and did you get your return before the 60 days was up?

Just called irs cause my return still says still processing, transcripts was N/A. They said I should get a letter in mail I have to verify my identity, then after I do that it can take 9 weeks to get my refund. I filled on 1/31 wmr has no codes showing. This is crazy! I registered online for transcripts so how much more information do you have to provide.

This happened last year and i had to verify my wages. to took forever to get my refund back and I had a TA, but last year I lost my bars on the 15th. We will see what happens I dont have any credit cards and my car is paid off so i can check my transscripts. I haven’t gotten a letter yet either so we will see.

Hello, wanted to share that I filed 1/24, accepted around 1/26/19? Or so and had still processing till about little over week ago, then got being processed for the last week or more, then finally UPDATED on WMR this morning likely around 5AM EDT, but I didn’t check till 11AM EDT.
WMR DDD for 2/26/20, but may get two days early on Serve card on 2/24/20? I guess I’m On a weekly update, because nothing changed for a week straight on WMR.
-
February 22, 2020 at 2:22 pm #4368637Minor
Yes, idk what’s going on! As of a few minutes ago, my message has not changed (received and being processed)! I don’t understand this! Called the IRS. They stated as long as its not an error message, then its just probably still processing but how is it that people who filed after me got a date of 2/26 and I haven’t gotten anything yet? This has been the most frustrating experience EVER!
-
February 22, 2020 at 1:33 pm #4368541KeeshKeesh
I didn’t get my refund updated to approved either and I filed my taxes and had them approved on 1/29. Everyone I know has theirs updated to show a DD of 2/26 today so I’m freaking out. And of course this is the one year I need my tax refund. I’m worried but it helps knowing I’m not alone
-
February 22, 2020 at 11:47 am #4368350Amanda
I got my DDD of 2/26 but it says tax topic 203. I called and don’t have any offsets coming out of my tax return and I don’t owe anyone anything. I did read that tax topic 203 can come up when you have your fees come out of your tax return. Anyone else have this happen to them?

So I got the still being processed message then an I’d verify a few hours later after I did the verify online I called in he said my I’d verify was at random and it was entered and there is nothing else on my taxes that’s looks like it will be held up (red flags etc) so I should be getting next week though he said there was not a date yet. What’s it sound like for me? Honestly
-
February 22, 2020 at 10:58 am #4368236Krista
Mine did not update it is still saying “your refund is still processing a deposit date will be provided when available with tax topic 152” I still have my amount in the side. Would anyone know why people who filed after me already got DDD so confused this first year this has ever happen.
-
February 22, 2020 at 10:54 am #4368233Rene

Does this mean something is wrong with my return or could it possibly update tonight or the next couple days with the same date as them? If anyone has heard anything with the same issues please let me know! Freaking out over here.

Still no change from Still Processing, people getting DDD when I filed before them. Starting to get a little pissed off, guess im gonna have to call the IRS and ask them what the fuck are they doing. All the years I did this ive never had such a troublesome experience from them, last year was better and that was with a shutdown.
E-filed 1/28/20 got accepted 2 hours later
Processing til around the 15th then stayed at “Still processing”
Today I SHOULD have a fucking DDD by now -

I’m seeing multiple people saying that theirs have updated with a ddd. I’m getting kind of nervous. I can’t get transcript online and don’t want to order it via mail because my tax person put the wrong address on AGAIN! Has anyone with a similar date of received still getting the same message?

I can not log into my online transcript.
When I get to the section where it asks for a credit card/auto loan number, I get kicked out because I do not remember the last 8 digits of my old credit card.I assumed by getting in there I can see my DDD?
I’m also out of the loop on my DDD, have the “your refund is being processed” message, no bars.
I filed in January and was accepted 1/16.

If you follow same process as everyone else lya, then likely means you’ll get yours very late next week or week after. When I had your msg, it changed to still processing and then few days later to being processed and a week later is now with same msg. Stupid online transcript couldn’t verify my 3 credit cards and blocked me til tomorrow. Not sure but I’m betting you filed around Feb 11th or so?
-

This will help :)
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/how-to-get-tax-transcripts-and-copies-of-tax-returns-from-the-irsI personally was not able to order online nor to the phone because my information has recently changed due to marriage, I am one of the people that had to order through the mail as well.
There’s a link to the form you can print out fill it out and send it in. Though it is a slower process
-
February 22, 2020 at 12:02 am #4366782Sarah
@lady1942
You may still have the option of ordering it through the mail instead of online. -
February 21, 2020 at 8:54 pm #4366415Melissa
I filed on 1/29/20 and for over two weeks no change at all. Then on 2/15/20 status changed from being processed to still being processed. I called the IRS yesterday and got an incredibly rude person who absolutely refused to even open my return just told me I had to wait. When asked why she was being so rude and refusing to help she just hung up on me. Now what?
-
February 21, 2020 at 8:28 pm #4366351Target
@Lady, my guess is that person is tired of answering questions/all the calls. However, if you call back, play on his/her emotions “appeal to emotion”. Works 85% of the time. Lol
All the best ..

Hopefully this helps some people, filed on 1/30, wmr has said still processing for almost a week, called irs this morning and said my refund date is 2/26. Don’t know if anyone’s Interested, but if you’re looking to call the IRS and want to get a live agent…
Create a new contact on your iPhone (not sure if this works for Android) and used this as the phone number.
When you call using this number, it should select the correct options all the way through to get you to a live agent:1 (800) 829-1040,,,,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,2,,,1,,3,,2,,,,,,,,,,,,,,2,,4
If it doesn’t work for you… sorry!!

Filed 2/5 and accepted 2/5. My WMR says still processing. Yesterday my transcripts were blank and this morning they show code 846 with 2/26 ddd. My sister filed 1/29 and accepted 1/29. Her WMR shows being processed. Her transcripts this morning also shows 846 code with 2/26 ddd. Hope everyone else is moving along now. Still processing does not always mean something is wrong. 😊

Filed and accepted 2/3
only claiming the ACTC
Filed using taxact and paid for fees up front2/14 WMR bar disappears and I get the “still being processed” message.
Transcripts only showing N/A.
2/21 transcripts available.
2/21 ddd.
I did not receive a notice or ID verify in the mail.
Good Luck! -
February 21, 2020 at 7:16 am #4364292
1/31/20 Filed and accepted the same day.
2/8/20 All my bars went missing, still being processed and TTC 152. Also Refund amount disappeared. Transcripts black N/A. No error codes.
2/21/20 Checked WMR and no update. However, transcripts are finally available and shows refund deposited date 2/26/20. Yay!!!!! -

I woke up to this. I think it may have something to do with being a PATHer and my address being different for the first time in 5 years. I’m going to call them today to find out because I want to expedite things. My transcripts are still blank and I filed/accepted 2/1 via TT and I’ve never had blank transcripts for this long; not even during the government shut down last year.
-

I woke up to this too!! Wtf?? I’ve never had this before
-
February 21, 2020 at 2:01 am #4363716
Still can mean simply a human just needs to take a 2nd look. If the issue is corrected, then you move forward, if not you will receive what information they’re requesting in the mail.
“Still” does mean your file was pulled for some sort of review but as stated it can be very minor or something bigger.

I got a 1095A missing notice on 2/18. Filled out 8962 worksheet and faxed it back on 2/18. Went from being processed with one bar to still processing ddd will be provided when available but can still see expected amount. Are they really going to hold my return for 6-8 weeks for 18.00 owed back to them?
-
February 21, 2020 at 1:59 am #4363709Mel C
i’ve had 1 bar with tt152 since filing and accepted Jan 31. A little after midnight(feb 21) my bars and tt152 disappeared and changed to “still being processed”

I filed on the 29th of January.. Had the Path message now I’ve had the “processing” message for 5 days.. I swear that next year I am filing mid February.. This is Bs!
Unless I get my money before the end of February then we good lol
Last year I filed early too and got accepted early but after the path message I got the processing one and after a day or two had my DDD.. and got my $$$ the 28th…
Let’s see what happens! -
February 20, 2020 at 11:54 pm #4363516Difference
I was told the exact thing…had to answer a few security questions as well.
I have not gotten my transcripts by mail yet. But everything else matched what you said that the irs lady told me today. No issues no notices just waiting on an update. Praying she’s right.

My mother in law claimed single and only w2. She went from processing, to still processing to a 203 offset refund message …. she is pretty bummed but optimistic about getting a refund back. So though you could receive something in the mail, you will still be getting your stuff, just be a bit more patient

I have the still processong and still have tax topic and refund amount. I called yesterday and answered some security questions the rep told me I should update in a couple of days and if not to give a call back. My transcripts are blank so they aren’t even finished processing, nor is there a hold. If there was something he would’ve told me. People need to stop spreading false info
-

February 20, 2020 at 8:22 pm #4363201Sarah

February 20, 2020 at 7:00 pm #4362985Difference
I have the still being processed and the refund date when available message with 152 code.
I did order my transcripts via phone.I did call irs and they said no letter or notice showing and I should see update after tomorrow.
So are people that get these letters not showing the 152 code?
-
February 20, 2020 at 6:47 pm #4362950Robert
So yeah , I was sceptable about “still being processed” and” being processed “ . Well I can verify that “ still being processed will amount for you to receive a letter in mail . I went from being processed to still being , and I received my I’d verify letter in mail today . 100 % true that “still being “ will result in some kind of letter in mail . Not a myth !

-
February 20, 2020 at 3:17 pm #4362479
E-filed – approved on 1/28/20
Also claimed EITC
Stayed at Processing til around the 15th then the bars went away and said “Still processing”. Checked IRS website FAQ and says NO UPDATE WILL OCCUR UNTIL 7 days past the 15th which is the 22nd this Saturday. So people claiming to see no update can now understand why, wait until this Saturday for a DDD and if it still says “Still processing” then definitely call the IRS. -

You would think even if ppl from the 1/29 to 1/31 were accepted later then what it said that we would atleast be put back in the processing line before feb 10 ppl or why it would make since to push our group back instead of just delaying ppl who filed later in feb. Hopefully we get a good update this weekend.

She said to check back tomorrow for an update and also I asked did she see any letters or notices…She said No she doesn’t see anything or show anything it’s just my 21 days is still processing. She said even though you get the text saying your refund was accepted it still takes 24-48 sometimes even 72 hours for them to actually receive your return….HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

I just got off the phone with the IRS and they told me they didn’t receive my tax return until 2/7 when I filed on 1/27. TT said I was accepted for my state and federal that same day. I’m so confused. I have the still processing with the amount on the side and tax topic 152.

I talked to someone last week. She said that the 21 s
Days is the 17th. But being a holiday they have until the 18th to make an update. Then told me to call if I dont see an update by the 19th. But it seems as though it’s a known issue.. my fiance filed in Jan on the first day you could. And had his deposited the week they were starting to review (the 26th) it’s strange. -
February 20, 2020 at 6:17 am #4361501Itzmietig
“Still being processed” is generic for anyone who was not approved and DDD within 21 days. PATHers who filed early (prior to 01/27) should have all seen this message. Then a change to a PATH notification last Sunday or Monday. Then if all was well a change back to processing without “still”. I filed with EIC 1/23 via turbo tax on 1/23 and received my IRS excepted notification the same day. No date as of yet though..
-
February 20, 2020 at 5:57 am #4360900
Had 1 bar, went to path act then to “still prossesing ” then to we are prossesing. Checked transcript and had code 810 which means refund freeze, then underneath had code 811 which is freeze lifted. So I’m assuming that I had still prossesing because my return was pulled and viewed by a actual person then was ok’d and put right back into the processing que. So I do think ” still prossesing ” means that your return was pulled and looked at.

I have already received one of my Georgia State Income Tax Refund on yesterday. My cycle is 20200605 always have been a weekly. Processing date 02242020. Did receive path act went back to still processing. No freeze codes. All same code from previous years just no 846 as of yet. Can see all transcripts. I believe with them not releasing path act funds until Feb 15 it just a delay.

-
February 18, 2020 at 11:53 pm #4357897
“Still being processed” means that the IRS software sees something it doesn’t like. A human set of eyes reviews it, and either it passes to the next step, or gets put in the que for letters to come. We went thru this two years ago, and despite giving them everything they wanted, we finally got a refund in November. Ask redacted about this, he can and will say it’s true. Hopefully the newest version of their fraud software isn’t targeting 500k folks like in prior years,
-
February 18, 2020 at 11:27 pm #4357849Bunn4
It seems to be ALOT of “Still being” processed this year, or maybe I am noticing more because of my personal situation. But…. I am kinda certain and hopeful that a lot of them will resolve them selves. #WishfulThinking
-
February 18, 2020 at 10:49 pm #4357783Jeremy
Same here. From reading last years forums and all the ppl who had the still being processed message, the only thing I got from it was that it can take awhile to resolve and some of the ppl didnt get thier refund till August or so. Kinda makes the idea of getting it in the next week seem impossible. Hopefully they will send a letter out or something pretty quick to get the train rolling to get it resolved or fix itself just maybe. Who knows

No, not always. Sometimes, when we are still reviewing your return, instead, it will display instructions or an explanation of what we are doing. -

I have the still processing message and Tt152. Been that way for at least a week. Accepted 1/29.
People are saying the “still being processed” message is a bad sign. I’m so confused.I’ve always been a weekly update. My transcripts are na so I can’t see anything but I should be a 20200505 cycle. Help someone?!? Thoughts?
I don’t have market place Insurance and my filing status or address hasn’t changed.
-
February 18, 2020 at 9:49 pm #4357603Baliman
. WMR on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go app will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC/ACTC refund filers by February 22. So EITC /ACTC filers will not see an update to their refund status for several days after Feb. 15.

-
February 18, 2020 at 9:28 pm #4357555
@Demn, not sure where you are reading that about 21 days starting after the 15th because that is completely incorrect. If you filed early, before the IRS opened on 1\27, then your 21 days started on 1\27. If you filed on 1\27 or after, then your 21 days starts from the day the IRS accepted your return. Please do not spread false information.

I’m fairly sure I had still processing a couple days ago and now have being processed with no tax topic. I filed 1/24/20 and accepted end of January sometime, never saw the approved msg like normal.
I feel it was selected by computer system and then manually reviewed ok I guess, then put back in que for updates and refund dates??
I’ve watched all these closely for last several years and it is flowing very different this year to me.
Good luck everyone on a smooth processing.

I just called today and the IRS worker that helped me was really rude. She said my return was still processing because I need to ID verify. I asked her how would I know that I have to ID verify if I did not receive the letter to ID verify. She said the letter was sent out on 02/10. I am so frustrated with this process. I filed 01/27 and my bars disappeared on 02/05. I am just looking forward to this process being over.

I did not file with my 1095 a and got a letter. If you received any sort of tax credit towards your premium you will have to file it with form 8962. I filed early and received a letter and of January.
I faxed the forms on February 4. I have still being processed and my tax topic disappeared this Saturday.

We got that dreaded message too. It’s not too often it turns out to nothing so I’m just going to wait until Friday before I start getting mad or irritated lol. I was hoping this year would be super easy since the last few have been headaches!
Do yall still have TT152?

I have still being processed with no bars. I know for a fact I forgot my 1095 A.
Has anybody else who forgot their 1095 A received a DDD or refund yet? I’m hoping they’ll just let me amend it later instead of delaying my refund, but I have no clue what to expect.

Filed/Accepted 1/28, had 1 bar and tt152 up until the 15th then had no bars and still processing message with tt152 and refund amount since. Nothing in the mail. My dad got a letter today saying some of his refund was applied to a debt. He filed around the same time as me. I have gotten anything
-

If it says still being processed a refund date Willie provided when available means it’s an issue got another was due to marketplace insurance , being processed means u at the end of processing
-
February 18, 2020 at 3:26 pm #4356818Demn

There are way too many people with still being processed message. It may be a generic message, due to the high volume of returns that have to be processed.
I filed 1/29 accepted same day
Never had path message
2/17 went from being processed to still being processed with tax topic 152 and still see amount of refund amount. My transcripts are not available.Nothing on the mail.
SAME.

Filed 2/1/2020
Received & accepted 2/1/2020.
Claimed Child Tax Credits.State refund is under processing.
WMR says “being processed” and doesn’t provide me any code. It has been 17 days.. I shall see what my experience is this year with the new Laws.FYI; Every year I have filed (with Child Tax Credit) I ALWAYS get my return within 2 weeks. This year is very different.

My return was accepted 1/27 and changed from processing to still processing sometime last week – yesterday was my 21 days so I called this morning and after several minutes on hold I was told that there had been an error on my account but that it was no fault of mine and it was fixed now but that I will have to wait EIGHT WEEKS from 2/14 for my return to hit!!!

One is “still being processed” and the other is “being processed” and they both have different meanings. If you have the “Being Processed” message The “being processed” message is a good sign. If you are seeing this message most likely your tax return is done and your return was just resequenced to the next update.
-
February 17, 2020 at 4:08 am #4354236
I have being processed.. No still in it .. I believe Wednesday it will update to approve

It’s official! I have screen shots as proof. M-I-L just went from “is STILL being processed” to a message saying “refund approved but partially reduced or completely used for a 203 tax top debt via child support, student loans or any other non federal debt” she had “STILL” and she just sent me a screenshot of the 203 topic. What can she do now? Wait for letter of the debt information or order transcripts? Will it say what it is on the transcripts?

February 17, 2020 at 12:28 am #4354076Mamabear
What does this mean……I just checked 1/17/2020 and wmr currently says….
NO BARS..YOUR TAX RETURN IS “STILL” BEING PROCESSED…A REFUND DATE WILL BE PROVIDED WHEN AVAILABLE…NO 152 CODE ANYMORE.
***Does This mean I will get a ddd soon or am I getting a letter…..PLEASE HELP ME….TY.
(LAST night it said…We have received your tax return and it is BEING processed with 1 bar showing and 152 code. )

Updated from still is processing to being processed
-
February 17, 2020 at 12:17 am #4354043ddddd
People are posting constantly here and other places that they are “still” being processed, ,then poof DDD, or ID verify and then poof DDD. Stop spreading fake news. Could still being processed mean you’re waiting until October? Yes. Could you also get a deposit on Friday? Yes.

Turbotax 1/17
irs received 1/27
Accept 1/27
Eit credit as well
1 bars and amount then bar and amount disappeared. To get path message. Wrm now says refund is processing. Any information in what this means. -
February 16, 2020 at 11:44 pm #4353992Tyler
Still being processed is very bad news. You are under manual review and likely to be audited. Get ready for a long drawn out process through federal courts.

There is no difference processing or processed unless the irs send u a letter or u know u did sum fuck shit on ur return trust me your good either way
-
February 16, 2020 at 8:08 pm #4353680Pleasenoidverify
It would be in wmr messages by now?
-
February 16, 2020 at 7:30 pm #4353628Jackie6
I was still processing for about 2 weeks. I updated 2/14 with a DDD of 2/20/20
-
February 16, 2020 at 7:18 pm #4353616
If you Currently have “being processed” on WMR, you will get your DDD on Wednesday…. regardless of being a daily or weekly. If you Currently have 1 bar your still processing and your return isn’t done yet. If your WMR say “still being processed”. Either you have ID verify, wage verify and it has to be manually reviewed. IT DOES NOT MEAN your being audited.
-
February 16, 2020 at 7:06 pm #4353605
Still being processed means just that. Errors could come up or not. It does not make you any more likely to get a notice but at the same time it doesn’t mean you won’t either because the return is still being processed.
I had it last year after path went away and I didn’t have any notice just got resequenced and processed for DDD of 2/27 in 2019, which was a week later than others.
I’ve been doing tax returns for over 20 years, don’t let people scare you, If your that concerned call the IRS at your 21 days and find out. You can also get your transcripts and check your codes. -
February 16, 2020 at 6:58 pm #4353596
If there was something wrong it would be included in your WMR message instead of tax topic 152. There would also be a code in your transcripts.
-
February 16, 2020 at 6:52 pm #4353593Mark
I had still processing last year for 2 weeks, then poof a ddd, so there’s really no difference. As long as you don’t get a bad code or the dreaded (take action) you should be ok.good luck
-
February 16, 2020 at 6:40 pm #4353579Jenni
I was on “still” processing last year. I forgot what my code was but I didn’t get my refund until July. I had to move through a whole shit process because of a past return. This year I’m just at processing. No “still”.
So my experience is it could mean something big like in my case, something small that an actual IRS person will go through and fix quickly, or you might have to ID verify.
-
February 16, 2020 at 6:39 pm #4353578Tyler
There is definitely a difference between “being processed” vs “still being processed”. For the latter, typically your WMR bars disappear and you are in manual review status. Doesn’t mean you won’t get your refund, but rather something was flagged by the computers and an IRS employee has to manually review it now and pass it through or dig deeper.
-
February 16, 2020 at 6:29 pm #4353558Suthrngrl
I been stuck in still processing and I got a letter saying that I had to fax a form verifying my unemployment income. I faxed it a week ago. It does seem like there is a difference between being processed and still processing. This is the first year this happened to me.
-
February 16, 2020 at 5:31 pm #4353481Fart Party
I am copying from another post. Someone just posted this answer elsewhere and I think it’s possible. You be the judge…..
If so, “being processed” means that the computers are processing it and running their algorithms. 9 out of 10 filers move to “approved” directly through the computer system. However, if the computer flags anything, it kicks it to a manual review status where an IRS employee has to further review it. This is where it will change to “still being processed”. If the manual review sees anything more that further raises red flags or if the red flag raised by the computer is egregious, your refund will be frozen and you will be subject to an IRS audit that can dig into returns for the last 7 years.

Okay 🤦🏼♀️ lol I don’t have time to scare anyone. But okay you’re delusional. I could care less actually.

The IRS will either fix it on there own or some will rcv a notice. Clearly yours was fixed. Again not bad information. Smh I’m just not going help because people act so high and mighty on here. Good day!
-
February 16, 2020 at 2:59 pm #4353303
It means an error. Simple as that. Period. That’s what I meant. I’m a Tax Preparer just stop arguing. Not spreading any bad info. Stop being childish.
-
February 16, 2020 at 2:56 pm #4353299
He said the same thing as I did, that it could mean something and it could mean nothing. You said that a message of still processing means that you need to ID verify or you’re getting a notice. This may or not be the case at all. Again, I had the same message last year and it meant nothing…as it did for most others. You’re spreading bad information.
-
February 16, 2020 at 2:51 pm #4353291
@Target you are 100% correct Ohioman is not correct
-
February 16, 2020 at 2:49 pm #4353289Target
It could mean an issue, or, not. Most times it is a simple error on your return detected by computer, that the IRS (a human person), will adjust/correct, and you’ll move on in the process. DON’T freak out. Until you’ve good reason to. And WMR/IRS2GO are not unless accompanied by codes and or notice from IRS. Otherwise, wait it out. More often than not, the worry is for not.

-
February 16, 2020 at 2:40 pm #4353275
For most people it means nothing at all. I had the exact same message last year for about 5 days, then I had my one bar back, then soon got two bars and a DDD. Personally I think it means things are moving along. I know for some they get a notice from the IRS, but the message in of itself on WMR is not indicative of that at all.

-
February 16, 2020 at 2:28 pm #4353257
Still processing does NOT necessarily mean ID Verify. Stop passing on bad information.
-
February 16, 2020 at 2:20 pm #4353253
Still Processing means ID verify or notice in mail. Being processed means just waiting on DDD.
-
February 16, 2020 at 12:31 pm #4353129Get that money hunni
There is no point in calling to see if you have to verify they are going to tell you to wait on the letter
-
February 16, 2020 at 12:30 pm #4353128Get that money hunni
When I received the same message last year I ended up having to ID verify. Mine said still processing a few weeks later I received a letter in the mail to verify. This year I am just on processing it doesn’t say still processing so I’m very hopeful this year I won’t have to
-

Definitely ID verify. I had the same thing happen to me a few years back. But once you I’d verify your funds will be available the following week.
