I filed 1/31. Had one accepted bar until this morning. 2 children no eic only ctc. Now have this message with no bars. They always runnier my refund with a fine toothed comb and it takes longer to receive. But have always had bars before. Very nervous.

Topic 152 // 1 bar since 01.24
Head of Household, EITC {1 child}.
No offsets or debts & have never had a PATH message a day in my life.
I’ve always gotten my refund early {about 2 weeks after filing}, except 7 years ago after my daughter was born. I had to do ID verification which delayed my refund about 2 months, but it has been smooth sailing ever since.
Still no updates. I hope tonight is the night for us all.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this…and maybe this can be a heads-up for some.
I think there is a difference in the messages for us PATH filers. I say that because this year my message is different than last year. This year I have this message:“According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.
Check Where’s My Refund in mid- to late February for your personalized refund status. It’s updated once a day and remains the best way to check the status of your refund.

LAST YEAR….I had the “We have received your return and it is being processed. A refund date will be provided blah blah blah…..” Then it changed to we have received your refund and it is STILL being processed yadda yadda yadda.
Last year I had an issue with the health insurance bullcrap. I ended up calling a day or two after the 15th of Feb and getting the information that I needed to get to them in order to get things corrected. It SUCKS if they are making people wait until after the 15th to find out if there are any issues. I’m praying that the message I have this year means I’m good to go and things are just waiting on the 15th!
