I spoke to the IRS and asked her about 1541 which I don’t have but told her that so that she would look into my account. She told me that it was a hold for pathers. And that they would release the funds starting between the 15th and 21st she said the earliest would be the 15th and then hung up on me I believed her because she asked her sup and also because after telling me that she got nervous and hung up.

Anyone believe PATHers gonna update tonight ?
I didn’t get mine until 3/1 last year and that was all because of the stupid ID verify.
I wonder if it’ll be faster this year?

          Filed 1/18, accepted 1/22 w/Jackson Hewitt.

@Jennifer what was the date next to the 846 release code on your transcript for last year? This would greatly help for this year

Everyone, I checked my old bank statements from last year, and I was pather then too–my refund was DD into my bank account on the 16th of February. Looked it up to make sure I was right. My accountant even told me not to expect it until the last week in Feb, but it showed up on 16th. It didn’t even update correctly on WMR until like a week after I got my DD.

Just trying to stay optimistic guys I just asked her what the 1541 code was about she it just is pathers and then gave me the dates so I did not ask her about dates. But wouldn’t she have been supposed to tell me the Feb 27th date redacted on the website she specifically said between the 15th and 21st

I wouldn’t take what she said too serious considering she was just telling you something before hanging up. Last year I don’t recall anyone getting their deposits any earlier than the 19th. Hell we waited until the 17th just for WMR to update. Who knows that customer service lady could be right but I’m not expecting mine until at least the 19th or 20th at the earliest.

When you call the IRS, you get an entry level employee who is judged performance wise on how many calls they can handle an hour and how fast they can get you off the phone. When your put on hold “for a few minutes” they are simply looking at predetermined answers that best fit your question, even if it doesn’t make sense. 75+ calls last year confirmed this as well as my advocate. Don’t trust a call center answer

After she told me the earliest would be the 15th she stuttered something then all I heard was click and it was her hanging up. I’m thinking that she was not supposed to say that and got nervous and released the call.
