SBTPG amount

I was able to log into Santa Barbara Tax Product Group(SBTPG). I’m curious if the IRS sends them the information as to what the refund should be, or if that is solely associated with TurboTax.

  It’s through the IRS. One year I had an offset, so the IRS sent SBTPG the correct amount.

  @TMT yes I’m aware about that. Just curious if the IRS has to give them the info before the account is made with SBTPG or if that is automatically set up by the information submitted from turbotax

  SBTPG take their cut out first. They then send you the difference.
