Return under review

I filed on 1/28 called in yesterday morning 2/12 because I’m still stuck on the first bar on the WMR. Still on tax topic 152 but when I called I was told that my refund was under review and that it could take up to 60 days to receive my refund.. And if anything is needed I will be sent a letter in the mail.. What exactly does this mean… Does it really take 60 days????

I was told today I wan under review, but no time line given. I asked but told there was no way to tell.
I filed and was accepted on Jan 20.
Bars went away about Jan 26
No code
Statement saying a refund date will be provided when available
I did ID verify on the 10th of February because they said I needed to do that
Still no codes
still same statement
all my filing status details and refund amounts still appear
Anyone else in the same boat?

I was told the same about 3 days ago. I got a DDD of the 18th today. Its a canned response they tell people because they’re so behind and they want us to stop calling. No worries. Im sure you’ll have a DDD soon. If not by the 21st day they have to tell you what’s goin on.

i was told today by irs and tax advocate i was under review. i ordered trans account and return yesterday. No DDD NO BARS but TT 152… she said i might recieve a letter.. do u think they are tellig the truth or just buying time?

That is just the IRS’s “script” line. if you have tt 152, you are good! If you have any other “code”, such as 9001, then you are under review. Good luck!
