          Atwater: You can call the treasury offset processing center at (800) 304-3107. It will tell you what non irs debt you have.

            Reference code 1541 is a code for something owed . Below is a list of certain things that can cause you to get this code:

            1. Back taxes owed from federal or state
            2. Back due child support
            3. Goverment student loans
            4. Failure to file any prior years tax return
            5. Even eic , earned income credit
            6. Addidng a dependant that someone else claimed in prior years
            7. Over payment of unemployment compensation.
