Q For Those Who Have PATH Act and Can View Transcripts

For those who are affected by the PATH Act and were able to view their transcripts online or if you already received complete transcripts in the mail;

did you have a 971 code anywhere on that transcript?

Filed 2/5, woke up this morning to PATH message, just ordered both transcripts, EIC,ACTC,Educators Credit and self employed, what a wild time, this site cracks me up but also helps me because we are all at the mercy of Uncle Sam

I will be calling. It just confuses me because i have no other irregular codes just 766 768 150 and 971. Taxes suck

Carrie is right Usually a 971 is paired with a 570. 971 means noticed sent, and a 570 is a hold or freeze with additional action pending.

Thanks, @Bini3. As a matter of fact, I had a 971 as a part of my code mess last year (and a 570). I was a resequenced early filer. I did end up with my entire refund — but it was later than I had expected. Hopefully, @Renita Hinson will be in the same boat. Renita; I would still say to give them a call ASAP to get this cleared up.

971 is not a good code to get from what I looked up. Just google it’s tax codes and it will tell you every meaning of all the codes.
