This from there website, I have completely lost hope, now if this is the case, I will not see anything until on or about March 8.
      Filed 1/28
      Accepted same day
Path message up until the 16th
Then the regular “received being processed” since.
According to the following message from SBTPG early filers are considered anyone filling before Feb 15.

      What is PATH Act?
The PATH Act (Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015) is federal legislation enacted on December 18, 2015 that prohibits the IRS from releasing refunds for taxpayers claiming Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and/or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) prior to February 15.

According to the IRS website the law was enacted to help prevent identity theft, and the entire refund held until at least February 15th.

      What’s the Impact?
This legislation will create funding delays of up to six weeks or more for an estimated 30M taxpayers filing at the beginning of the tax season. As much as $100B+ in federal tax refunds may be delayed.

On December 9, 2016 the IRS announced that “…many affected taxpayers may not have actual access to their refunds until the week of Feb. 27.”

Y’all are reading it wrong. That message has always been there. Sbgt is a bank not the federal government, it is not allowed by law to hold your refund. It is solely to take fees from tt or whoever uses it.

My bars are gone. The only message on the wmr site is that they have received my tax return and it is being processed. It has been that same status and no movement for a week. I have no other tax code or message ( no 151 or 152) and all my info is still on the left side. If we are being pulled for verification or audit- would it say it on the site? My return was accepted on 1/28.

No offense but that information is from late 2016 and has never once been true in the case of people who filed a normal PATH Act return without ID verification issues. It happened to me the very first tax season after PATH was passed and including the extra processing time for ID verification it took almost five weeks until I got my deposit on 3/08/2016. If you have a normal return with no issues this is irrelevant.

It’s not even an insult, it’s a fact, and it’s not me saying it sredacted pants, it’s the website, literally cut and paste, do your research before you *try to* be funny.
I am a single mom, work a full time job as a HR manager, yet recently divorced hard to make ends meet and save up for 1st months rent and deposit, about $3k. Hope you never have to be in my situation.

If it wasn’t applicable, it would no longer be in their website, that’s just the date they released that message. Did not say “for tax year of 2017”, I know we want to believe otherwise, but we need to just face the fact that things are changing and they will continue to do so every year with new tax laws and pacts. I too am very much in need of that money, I am literally homeless, lost my home 4 weeks ago and have since been staying with friends or motel, and I have 2 kids, so believe me, I desperately this money to appear in my account asap, but it’s time to be realistic and go to plan be (just in case).
Cause if I’m going off of my own taxes/refunds in the previous years, I would have either got it already or by the 23 would have it.
Things change. Ugh. I hope i am pleasantly surprised tomorrow or Friday morning. 😑

I’ve been a Pather since it started and never waited past the end of Feb for a deposit. Last year didn’t have an update at all and deposit came the day path act lifted (Feb 16th)

I’ve seen PATHers with a file/acceptance date of Feb 1, 2019 and got a deposit yesterday 2/19, they got their refund already* and filed before feb 15th. Other filers with the same dates and same DDD didn’t get one yesterday, so it’s all a guessing game. But posting this and sayinf 6 week delay is only going to make people worry when they don’t need to. This law isn’t new and it’s never caused delays at that length of time (as far as I know, correct me if in wrong! I want accurate info on here for everyone so please don’t hesitate to prove me wrong😊)

They just hold the refund until mid-late Feb, you can file anytime…. This is just the generic message they give out, to everyone….

Says that every year, but I have never been held up for it. I currently have DDD of 2/22.

I just got off the phone with irs agent and I’m on being processed, she stated I would receive a date or deposit by feb 27th. Due to the path rule starting in dec 16th. There were no issues with my return and I claimed both credits
