PATHER w/ Updated Script 971

What is the 971 code? It says it was issued 2-28 and my return looks way bigger in my transcript. It has -7,200 and -3304 and my return was only supposed to be 6900???

Wanna give hope to anyone with a 971 code. I updated last week with all good codes and a 971 code notice issued. Transcripts updated to dd of 2/24 with $3k more than original refund I expected so I’m pretty sure the notice is to tell me I am getting more! Good luck everyone!!!

I also have all the good codes and my return is $3k more than expected. I have 971 notice issued with date of 2/28. Fingers crossed this is just a notice to let us know of increase. I signed up for email and paper notices so hopefully I can see it on my account soon to know what it’s all about.

I also have 971 code.I have EIC and actc.My refund was increased by $1600.Im hoping this just a letter explaining that they increased refund and that it doesn’t delay my refund

I got the same 971 code once my transcript updated. My refund dropped about 4k and I hope the 971 is just a notice explaining the reason and not an actual delay to my payment.

Mine also updated like that today with the updated as of date being 2/28 and the 971 code with no 846 but mine got brought down almost 2 thousand Dx

I’m thinking mine may be a notice letting me know the difference in the amounts being issued to me? Because I don’t have any of the other bad codes following in just waiting for 846.

Just checked my transcripts and the amount is less than what it’s suppose to be. No bad codes I believe …should I be worried? One bar with is processing message on WMR. I have an as of date of 2/28

Yes I filed the 19th got accepted the 21st and the refund amount was supposed to be 6061 I just checked. But the amounts they have credited to my account show over 10k? I checked my IRS account and it says no notices have been sent either?

That’s a notice alert. You got them for the CTC and stimulus too. Which is just telling you you’re getting a deposit but need to wait for a full figure normally gives you one at the top and just wait for an 846

Means notice sent in mail. I’m wondering if you didn’t get all of your stimulus or ACTC. Either way, that’s amazing! Hope it’s true for you!

I wonder if they fixed something on my return which made it larger?? It’s definitely not meshing but it’s in my favor. Idk it’s so wierd.
