      I accidentally filed and had it going to closed account call irs now expecting check anyone knows how long that can take?

          @pr0blumz well since you must know the accident wasn’t check the account number I kept of file for years it closed and I had to open a new checkin account with different number totally didn’t think so when I called bank they said to call irs witch I did to stop it and they said they will be sending a check this my first time receiving by mail so I don’t know how long it will take

            How does one accidentally file which in turns have the return sent to a closed account?? Seems fishy 🤔

                You can check the IRS website for a definite answer, but I THINK it can take 2 to 4 weeks after processing for paper checks to be mailed. I’m not sure on this, so please don’t take my word for it.

                  Last year ours came by check because of an adjustment. I was freaked out but it wasn’t nearly as long as “they say”. It was about two weeks.
