Ordering Transcripts According to the IRS Rep

So I just got off the phone with a lovely lady(sarcasm) in regards to a letter I received about my Transcript. She told me that even if you are able to order your account transcript online and get the you will receive it in 5-10 business days that DOES NOT mean your account is complete and you won’t be able to order NEITHER Transcript until 3 weeks after you file. Basically when you receive your refund you’ll be able to order your 2015 transcripts…

I tried asking her if that was the case why didn’t I receive the 5-10 business days message when I attempted to order my Return Transcript and she couldn’t give me a straight answer.

Account transcript and Return transcript are 2 separate things. So technically the rep was correct in saying ordering the account trans doesn’t mean much, but if you can order your return trans it does mean you have completed the processing phase & are awaiting your DDD/refund

I have been trying to order my returns for over a week now,and it would not give me access.

However,today it let me finally order my return transcripts.does this really mean I’ll have a ddd soon?? WMR has not updated to 2 bars,or givin me a date.does anyone know from actual experienced??

I was able to get my transcripts today and I’m one of the filer’s that filed early this mean anything I’m not going to get paid

Nah, I ordered full transcripts the day they were done last year. There was no need to wait weeks after to get them (perhaps that is the case for some, but not for all…at least last year).

I honestly think just got an attitude with me because she started ordering my 2014 transcripts instead of my 2015. Partially my fault because when she confirmed which ones I said “yes” but you would think if I said the ones for THIS YEAR you would think 2015. Anyway, I think she was just mad and refused to order them for me. Hoping for my return transcript tonight though.

I ordered both my account and return transcripts today, and sent my tax return in with TT only a week ago today.

Weird. When we spoke to an IRS rep Wednesday she said once our return was complete, we could then order our return transcript. Our refund got pulled for “review” which I’m sure meant resequenced because they don’t have the manpower to process all the returns. We need our return transcripts for school, so she was really nice to us and that’s what she said. I think some IRS reps are really just spitting out whatever bs they can come up with lately.

Not true.
Your account transcripts could mean nothing but once you’re able to order your return transcripts for 2015 then they’re processed.

Ordered my return transcripts today which I hadn’t been able to do in the past. Called IRS today she said my ddd is 01-10-16

Return transcripts do mean something :)
