I filed 2/11, had to do the premium tax credit in March sent that back right away. Now it’s September and the irs keeps saying everything is getting processed. Because of covid blah blah. Tax advocate is not helping either. I’m sad.

I am curious if anyone had any unemployment benefits that they claimed that they are also waiting for a refund on. My as of date went from July 5th to July 15th this morning but nothing else is listed on the transcripts so I am wondering if that is the IRS working on that along with the refund from the 8962.

@Shar , Yes I checked mine this morning and I had the same thing. I have my wages transcript for 2020 but my return transcript just updated today with a notice of “no return Filed” asking me to call the irs…. Which you can’t get through to anyone right now. Honestly this is bullshit to me. I turned in everything they asked for and I just want my money. Super frustrating and I am over it.

checked my transcripts, i see something finally for 2010, but its a non filing tax return verification. I early filed as i always do the beginning of February. Accepted the day they began accepting. Middle of March received notice to submit 8962 form. Faxed in all documents the very same day. They state to allow up to 8 weeks. Now its into week 11 i believe Had i owed them money, they would have begun the garnishing process on the very same deadline they would have given me to respond

I tried calling all last week and could not get through. I checked my transcripts this morning and my “wages and income” one now has information listed in it. All the others are still blank and my as of date is still March 15th. However that is the most progress I have see so far so I am hoping that the rest will update soon as well. Fingers crossed!

FINALLY…. have the 2021 return, Acct Transcript populated with data. Therefore it posted to the Master File. Not sure how much longer I have to wait for the processing. They still have not adjusted the penalties for the ACA Reconciliation waived with the Recovery Act.

I am fuming!! I just got off the phone. IRS said has processed my 8962 docs. They said I had to wait additional 8 weeks to get my refund – 6mos???? WTH … This is beyond ludicrous. I cannot wait until end of July. I have been processing since 2/11/2021. 8 more weeks post 5/18/21. They received docs 3/8. This is 4.5 mo post docs and 6.5 mo post accept. Not acceptable.!!!

Yeah its crazy this year, I have never had to go through this before and I had no idea that I even needed to fill out this form. Turbo tax did not ask me anything about it. I thankfully did get the stimulus check and it was deposited into the new account I gave them on my return this year. Checked again this morning and still no transcripts or update on WMR tool. -
15 weeks since electronic filing and acceptance test batch and still N/A and no refund. I have received -0- stimulus. They are taking forever.

Yes ma’am, I mailed in the forms as their fax numbers were constantly busy and I couldn’t ever get anything to go through. My tracking number says that the forms were received by them on March 25th. So yesterday was 8 weeks after they received the “response” from me as they called it.

I called today and they told me that they are able to confirm that my paperwork (8962 and 1095A) were received. They let me know to allow a little more time to process the forms but that someone had it and was working on it. My WMR tool and transcripts have yet to update but just knowing that they actually have my paperwork is a small victory for me. After having no information for so long its a total relief that they are working on it. Fingers crossed that it will not be to much longer.

Filed 3/3 accepted 3/4, lost bars and tt around 3/21, transcripts just updated today with DD 5/24 with interest. WMR hasn’t updated yet. Also the as of day still shows 3/15/21. Happy I finally have a DD And will have my money soon. Hope everyone that’s waiting get their refund quickly. -

5/10/21 – Filed 1/30 transmitted test batch and accepted 2/11. Received 12C 3/5 responded via fax with 8962 and 1095A 3/8/21 am (8 weeks/2 mos ago).. I have been in ERS dept. since mid-February with nothing done and no posting to the master file.
The IRS should process returns that have been in ERS longest and not let them sitting there gathering dust. Contacted TA (again) I faxed 2 911 Forms in March – no response. Finally got assigned one 2 months later.

@sla921I cant speak to your situation or other people’s situation but I went thru several avenues to get mine updated. Good luck with your situation. And they never process in order received its done by different departments depending on credits and what errors need to be fixed.

2/22 filers no longer n/a as of today which marks 10 wks and 1 day exactly. Used eic and lookback credit no unemployment or recovery rebate credit ddd 5/10 normally up until this year i was a weekly updater so keep the faith and keep checking transcripts if you can

So I was accepted 2/17.. checked my transcripts today and they FINALLY updated from N/A. I’m confused though.. I don’t have a code 846 or ddd. Only as of date of may 17,2021 & processing date of may 17,2021. I don’t know what that means.. does that mean I’ll get my refund that day ? Or could I get it before then ?

Update: Estimated tax payment was the problem. As of this year, the IRS computers cannot handle a joint return where the taxpayer SSN listed first is not the taxpayer SSN used for EFTPS withdrawals from the bank. So returns with the secondary on a joint return providing the estimated tax payments were put in a deep hole with unknown reemergence. Call IRS if this is your situation.

Lost bars and tt152 on 3/6
Called IRS in early April, told to wait 10 weeks. Called again a week later and was told to wait another 4 days. Called the following week and was told that there was a hold on my refund that wouldn’t be released until the week after 5/3. Checked transcripts this morning and I have a DDD of 4/28! That is 10 weeks to the day of being accepted! Hope this helps someone! -

Just want to give a lil update. I filed and accepted on2/18. Lost bar on 3/8 but never lost tax topic or amount. I never called or got any letters. My transcripts finally updated yesterday with a DD of 4/26, and WMR updated today to approved. Hang in there guys, best of luck to you all.

Filed and accepted on 2/15. Transcripts say NA, as of date is Feb,22. No update on Wmr just says still processing, never lost amount just tax topic. Called Irs Friday was given the whole 10 week errors department, no letters going out. She said give them 2-3 weeks. Everyone else has newer as of dates, just feels like mine hasn’t even been checked yet. Super annoyed just turned 9 weeks yesterday. Trying to remain optimistic but its super hard.

Just called and spoke with a lady at the IRS. She was super nice and didn’t give me the 10 week runaround. She said I should see either a deposit or correspondence within 4 days and saw no letters going out. She said for me to call them next Friday if I haven’t gotten any news.

accepted 2/16 and after almost 8 weeks in error department we are now in quality review department and have another 4-6 weeks to go now. The very kind woman that we spoke with at the irs said that it is usually a pretty quick process but 4-6 weeks does not sound quick to me. I”m livid.

So I called along with my tax preparer, customer service doesn’t know shit .the lady sounded like she was in bed .Basically i filed 2/ 14 following week lost bars. I called in March was told basically my taxes are at stand still and haven’t been touched call back later. Fast forward today the lady added on another 10weeks to call back this is ridiculous. They have absolutely no answers and are reading from the paper whatever we ask them .

Transcripts have no update whatsoever for me. Accepted 2/27. WMR shows “still processing”. We’ve only receive 1/2 of our stimulus and the other half still shows “eligible” with no date. Just a waiting game…

On march 1st my bars disappeared and i got the message your tax return is still being processed etc…
Still same message with N/A on transcripts..
I was owed $1400 from 3rd stimulus due to child being born in 2020… But heres the catch… I did NOT claim it on my tax return… But I just received the $1400 this morning!!!! Still no tax refund though.. Does this mean Im closer to getting my refund since theyve obviously went through it????

I didn’t have to fill anything additional out. As of yesterday my top 2 transcripts for 2020 said N/A and the as of date was 1/18. It’s seems to be that once you get your tax topic back on WMR you get an updated transcript the next day. That’s what happened for me anyway. No adjustments were made to my return. I don’t know whether I am daily or weekly – it seems to be different each year

@dani when I look at my tax records and the first screen comes up it used to say your refund has not been processed yet, but I knew before I even went to my transcripts there had to be some update today because that was gone. So, it stays up until they update your transcripts, I assume -

Updated today on transcripts. Accepted 2-12 lost bars on 22 day. Amount went away 3-22 tt152 was there. Transcript shows 846 3-31 DD. WMR should update tomorrow. IRS told me mine was corrected on 3-18 to wait io to 8 weeks. My guess is when you call and they say you are fixed on a specific day you are close, if they give generic answer you are still in the processing hole.

I FINALLY got my 846 code for 3/31!Such a relief! I spoke to someone last week and he was GREAT! He told me that after they actually process our refunds, they get a 2nd look & normally it’s there for a few days, but this yr its been sitting there for weeks & thats where mine was! Also, he said they are supposed to tell us it will take up to 8 wks, but my taxes look good & he doesnt expect it taking anywhere near that long! I filed on 2/2 & accepted 2/12. Good luck everyone!

Filed 2/11 accept 2/12 570&971 on transcript 2/19 called hold dept informed of cp63 & instructed 2 send in past years tax returns 16-18. Faxed them in 2/19. 10 days later hold was released & ddd of 3/10 on transcript received refund for 2020 on 3/5. Still waiting on 17&18 tax returns it shows 599 secured 2/26 on 17&18 and as of date of 3/22…today is 3/19 and so far no update transcript has all zeros & N/A on both will report back when 17&18 refunds are released

My tax return was accepted Feb.11 and I got the 4464C letter Feb.23. It’s been over 3 weeks and I called them today 3.19 and they told me I would be receiving another 60 day letter on 3.29. They said I had to wait.

Spoke to IRS today-was told that after 21 days we of us get nervous & any other yr it would mean issues-this yr is different.He said that most are fine just delayed.After refunds are processed it goes to another dept to be checked for issues & its supposed to be a few days-this yr its been wks.He said hes suppose to say itll take 8 wks but that wont be the case-few max.He seen no red flags or letters-just be patient and watch for updates. I’m hoping this is all our issue

The reason why I mentioned those two codes is because after looking at my transcripts for the past 2-3yrs I usually get a DDD 3-4 weeks from the date beside those codes.. and it’s usually before the date listed…4/05/21 is the date so I am hoping for DDD by the end of the month or the first/second week in April

Lost bars and TT on 3/1 with “return is still being processed” and absolutely no movement until this morning when TT152 reappeared and amount was gone. A few hours later was able to finally see transcripts with a ddd of 3/24. There is hope!

Code 846 refund issued 3/24/2021I believe anyone who filed early and hadn’t received the stimulus so indicated no on return got caught up in this loop. This was my reason for the hold. My refund decreased by the 600 dollars. Hope others find theirs resolved soon.

for those of you who as of date keeps bouncing it’s because they are actually working on your refund.. mine did the same thing.. just a word of advice do not check your stuff everyday!! It will drive you crazy!!!! I did it every year before this year.. I’m weekly so I told my wife I’m only going to check on Friday mornings and I was not going to call at all this year.. and I haven’t stressed at all!!

I feel the same way. I’m on the brink of giving up on checking on it daily. I mean if they’re back logged, how come people who filed after some of us are processed already ?! I mean I’m glad for them but it all makes no sense to me.

Same here…My account for 2020 and 2019 both jumped a month forward and then changed back to the original dates. Did the same last Friday but I figured that was stimulus related. Yeah this is getting old. I finally was hopeful for some kind of movement and progress. I don’t understand how it can change back to an old date like that. As if they haven’t even looked at our returns at all. I am very confused and feeling defeated.

I have NA for both top transcripts and still processing on WMR. My as of date changed from 02/22 to 03/29 this morning. I called the IRS and was informed that my return was sent to the error department for review, and that it could be an additional ten weeks. Interesting thing is the rep told me my return was accepted on 02/16/2021, but HRBlock sent me the accepted on 02/13/2021 email. Well it appears i am half way through this so called 10 week wait so we shall see what happens.

Per my tax advocate and congressional rep:
“Due to newly initiated tax relief in the calculation of refundable credits the system does not recognize the changes and believes there are errors. There has been a fix to correct these issues, however, all we can do is monitor these cases.
This type of case usually takes up to 8 weeks, we expect to complete the case by May 5th
To summarize… Yeah there’s a problem and we hope it fixes itself.

Very frustrating and upsetting how they can take their time, but yet if you owe they want it paid immediately! They should hold the new ones and process ours that were accepted since February 12th! My daughter and I were accepted same day and she received hers within a week!

Why can’t they (IRS) just check and provide a straight answer this way we do not have to continuously call.
No WMR, and N/A transcript how else are we supposed to know what is going on.
The IRS does not even update the “Account” readily or add “Messages” or statuses in the messages that could assist.
The whole system is archaic.

I probably won’t see any movement on WMR because last I checked I was still N/A this afternoon. I’m usually a weekly. So early Friday AM my transcripts will hopefully update for me, I PRAY! If not I am gonna officially lose it. 😞
I was accepted 2/12 and lost my bars when the majority of us did. I never lost my TT, so I’m thinking that’s a good thing. 🙏🏻

Spoke with my TA, he said they have forwarded request to the irs to release my funds on 03/19.
I just hope that they do, am working through congressional assistance. Transcript still N/A -
As for people thinking it’s the stimulus holding us up it isn’t. I don’t qualify. I was accepted on 2/12 and my transcript also says no return filed. I would imagine with all the extra schedules with a long form mine will keep getting put to the bottom of the stack. I also have no unemployment. I have worked for the same company for 8 years. Same return I always file.

We haven’t been selected for anything, sure some with have ID verify or something. Our returns were kicked out of efile. We are all error code 900- They have to go in and manually Input our returns just like we filed a paper return AND they don’t have enough manpower. If your transcript shows – no return on file – that’s why. Paper returns always take longer. If there was an Issue or ID verify you should have received notice by now.

However, 2020 changed most of that for so many families and then all the Hurricanes we got in Southern Louisiana added further weeks of no work and then an ice storm shut us down again down here. So many of us truly need what we earned back for so many reason.

If you paid fees to TT and you had an issue with your refund being delayed ask for a refund. I saw someone post this and I asked for a refund. I received no notification from them but SBTPG shows their charge for 43 dollars and no TT fee, so it was approved. Still too late not to have my refund routed to them for their fee though. So basically paying SBTPG for no reason but an extra stop for my refund money. Still 40 is better than 80!!!

Whatever you buy, either ur payment gets declined or it went through, there is always a transaction code. Which is why I believe that they never actually processed anything, but kept it aside for review or Identity verification or error department. I build softwares so I know how algorithms work

Here is my theory based on my experience
Folks who filled early 2/12-2/16 were randomly selected for Id verification or review which is why we have is still being processed on WMR which means the returns never made it to the master file. Under cycle there is a number , we don’t have one because the master file didn’t have any which is why when the computer processes returns and search for our returns our previous year As of dates updates to 2021 -
@taiwo So my last two digits are 05 on previous returns which would be a Thursday? I don’t have a cycle code for 2020 which means it hasn’t been entered into the master file? What’s the master file? It just means it hasn’t been processed or even looked at?

Sometimes 05 updates daily, but WMR for weekly’s are Saturdays which is why if your bar disappeared, it probably did on a Saturday. But for transcript i would say daily overnight. But Tuesday it is a mass update -

If you check your previous Tax years under cycle you will see a number . Watch out for the last two digits

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to share some info with all of you! I too filed early, on Feb 2ns, accepted the 12th, I am a PATHER, and have unemployment. I have had zero changes and have been stressed about my return, so I contacted a reporter at USA Today, and she actually responded and would like to interview me today for her article, so I am hoping we can make some noise and get some answers using a larger voice. Not sure it will work, but I will keep you all updated as to what happens!

We are in the same timeline. The timing at which we will process is psychological, but please believe that it will process during the next update -
Friends do not stress on access date, whenever your return is accessed , the As of date updates, if it moves forward with no codes or cycle , it means the computer couldn’t process it. If your As of date moves backward , it is because of them accessing the stimulus information on your account.

A tax advocate called me back today
She stated I was in the errors dept and there are 7 levels of validity checks they have to do
I asked if this was cause by an error I made and she said no, that this was part of processing
She said it should resolve in 2-3 weeks and if it didn’t to call her backI filed 2/12 and was accepted 2/12

Yeah it’s just frustrating. I don’t have running water in my house right now and was counting on this money to get a new well. Another couple of weeks sounds like hell. I have 3 young children age 4 and younger and the struggle is getting unbearable. Guess I’ll have to wait until next week.

I got through to the Tax Advocates using the 877 number. A case was opened and I have a case number. I’m supposed to hear back wishing 7-10 days.

The best way to contact an advocate is through office of the congressman. 2019 transcript As of date should not be changing, but if it does to 03/29/2021, it means the computer couldn’t find a 2020 1040 and run through the 2019, extending it 7 days to see if the 2020 will be made available error free.

Like the rest of y’all I updated to an as of date of 3/29. This was for both mine and my husbands. My as of date was 1/18 and his was 2/22. Mine also had a request for IRS Verification of Non-filing Letter showing up on 2019. Hopefully that means they are working on mine and I get an update later today or tomorrow.

@Zee same here. Waiting on everyone to see if they get updates. When I lost my bars and TT on WMR it was a Tuesday. I have 2 cycle dates My original 05 which I have been for years and another one when they verified income for stimulus on 1/18 which is an 02. I don’t qualify for the stimulus. I’ve seen several people on here stating the same. They weren’t sure if their cycle date changed.

If you guy are having issues because of the stimulus, I recommend calling them so they can push your refund through. I called and a gentleman was very helpful advice me that I will be receiving a mail explaining why the decrease on my refund. After the mail, I should see refund will hit my account. More than likely it will hit by the end of this , so I urge anyone to call rather waiting and guessing when refund will hit. At least it will give you a peace of mind that you are a step closer.

My Tax advocate said it usually takes a week from case completion to receive refunds .
Remember TA can expedite your refunds. I will give updates as soon as I get em. I pray that we all get our returns before the $1400 start going out. -

The thing is, I was told I was accepted on 2/22 by HRB in an email and this now says I was accepted 3/5.My take is irs backlog some returns and didn’t actually accept your return u ntil 03/05. You really want to put a call through and know when they actually accepted as your 21 days would start counting from there

Finally decided to call today. Got somebody in 15 minutes. She put me on hold to open my account and when she came back she said my return was sent to “Exams” and to allow 10 weeks for information.
I kind of think she made it up. I don’t even know.

Tax software do not have access to WMR, they only tell you the last update they got after processing your tax. -

Update:
WMR still shos no bars, and my Transcripts are still N/A. Like I said before I was accepted 2/12, but I just used HRB’s refund tool this time instead of wmr and and it says this:“Congratulations! The IRS has accepted your 2020 return on 2021-03-05 and your federal taxes are complete. You chose to receive your refund by direct deposit. The IRS issues most refunds within 21 days. For more information, visit http://www.IRS.gov/refunds”
I wonder if this is a sign of what is going on?

UPDATE : The only movement you will see on your transcript is the extension of the AS OF DATE, which means that the computer has set aside to come back and try to process it 12 days before e the AS OF DATE. It an algorithm, most people are stuck with As OF DATE. If you have ever tried getting your money with stripe, but your refund date keep extending. It is the same algorithm. Please contact your congressman now

UPDATE : Transcript won’t update until your return has been processed. If you can prove hardship, get in touch with your congressman for a tax advocate. Tax advocate an acess your return and see the main issue with it.
By law irs has a week to either accept or reject the docs sent by the advocate, if they do accept, it will take 2 -3 weeks from the date of acceptance.
The downside is irs will tell you to contact your advocate, it is better than being stuck for months. -

Filed 1/25 with an acceptance on 2/15. I’ve had access to transcripts for years and have never gone into March for my refund. Transcripts still say N/A with an as of date of 2/22. I’m not bothering to even call because I don’t have time and/or patience to be told some scripted reply. I am beyond annoyed at this point, though.

Filed 2/12 with TaxAct. None of my quarterly estimated taxes that I paid appear on the Account Transcript. Account only has Stimulus and wage shows no return filed. However the tax return I submitted on Feb 12 is there. Where’s my refund is in processing and a date is not yet known. The 152 message disappeared and is now just a message about their phone app. No N/A’s seen. The estimated tax missing is disturbing.

The funny thing to me about the irs dating they are back logged is my sister filed on 3/4/21 and got a DD Monday 3/8 for 3/11. SMH I filed and was accepted on 2/13 and have gotten no where or no update.

If you can verify your identity online, go ahead and get it done, if not you will have to wait for the notice letter. There should be an update tonight for folks with As of date of 03/22. If you have successfully verified, the computer should process it tonight. Let’s all stay positive. Identity verification is way better than audit, but put the calls through through the Spanish link

i was accepted 2/16 and my transcripts are the same. I have seen many others like that this year also. I called today and got a generic response about how the irs behind and it could take 10 weeks. I don’t think it would be that long but it just seems like they are backlogged.

New here but was wondering if anyone is experiencing my issue. Accepted 2/15 and was showing one bar until last Thursday. Now just getting “still processing” with amount still on left and no topic. Last week on 3/3 ordered my tax return transcript from 2020 through the mail because I’m unable to access it online and it says “no record of return filed”. Anyone else have this issue? Is this because my return hasn’t been processed yet?

Yesterday when I called was told no errors. Allow until end of week. Got bored on lunch today and happened to get through first try. Today I got the generic ” up to 10 week manual review and processing and I don’t know why I don’t see any errors” story. Such nonsense. I give up. At this point I’ll just think of it as money in the bank I guess and wait. Has to be something with TT, or the fact that I had a child in 2020.

Today Receive a letter that I need to verify identity (Same thing happened 2 years ago, when there was an error on return, but IRS never told me. Received another form from a previous employer in September they forgot to send, amended return, received refund in December. No word ever from IRS about anything!!).
Just verified my identity online, took 2 minutes. Says additional 9 weeks to process. -

The woman wasn’t rude but seemed cold and robotic. She looked into our account and then read off a super generic pre-written response about how the account is being processed and please allow 10 weeks

For the turbo tax peeps, start submitting refund requests for your fees. They may or may not approve it because they consider the online software one and done, but if enough of us let them know then it’s something at least!

All transcripts appear but what is stranger is my wage transcript still says no return on file. All of my other transcripts are normal with the proper codes. Oh well, this time last year I was still waiting under a review all the way up until August of last year so I am happy. I wish everyone luck and I will stick around if anyone has questions. -

I just realized that my tax professional mistakenly claimed the recovery rebate on my return. I’m guessing that this is the cause of delay.

I had one single error last year on our 2019 returns… I sent in the requested forms to fix the error AND it toon over a YEAR to fix it. If your return is in the errors dept, it’ll take a bit to process. They are swamped and back logged with mail and stimulus etc. My 2019 transcripts just updated over the last weekend, finally released my 2019 refund.

So I decided to try and click 2 for Spanish and it worked… 5 minute hold! Lol. He told me they received it on the 13th but didn’t start processing till 16th. Tomorrow is 21 days and they update over night. With the rebate credit it takes the full 21 days from when they started. So if no movement by Wednesday to call back. But he sees no errors.

update…my IRS letter I was worried about was just a CP301 notice because I signed up to receive my transcripts online lol.. so no big deal. WHEW..but in the meantime still N/A on my transcripts I do have a as of date of 3/15/2021. Not sure if that means much at this point. They will do what they do.

Because the IRS is lying and they’re making stuff up because the messed up with the early filers. In reality nobody really knows what’s going on. Some people have to verify identity, some people have a simple math error, some people probably got put on the back burner. Ain’t no telling

@Noelle because they can’t give a straight answer. It’s the government after all. I think the 10 weeks is just standard BS when they don’t have an exact answer. Some are being told they have an error on their return and others aren’t. I asked the lady I talked to if she saw an error and she said that it is just telling her the 10 wk deal for me. I did have to answer a lot more questions today than when I called on Friday though.

I’ve been bothering my senators and congress people over this. So far two have gotten back to me and pushed it to my congress member as well. I doubt it will help but it’s noise I can make. I did this when unemployment was a fiasco as well. 1 week more of waiting means we lose our mortgage loan and house, nevermind 10.

Yeah I paid fees up front but I don’t think TT can do anything about it. They’re just the software we use to file our taxes. After getting a little deep with the IRS rep she informed me that I was in the error dept and told me about the criteria for a Tax Advocate. She gave me a number to call and I was just told I qualify for one. Currently on hold

I know I paid a total of $80 to them for my return because of the student credit I took this year. Just got off the phone with IRS. I FINALLY got someone to stop beating around the bush. My return is in the error resolution dept and they said I have to allow 10 weeks for correspondence. Sometime in may I believe. She didn’t see any error and doesn’t know why it’s there, but right now it’s just sitting waiting to be viewed. I know people are still waiting for their 2019 returns, so buckle up people.

Welp waited 52 minutes to be told that there is an error, they can’t see what the error is but they think it’s simple and give them 3-4 days to fix it. So basically they have no idea and are just trying to buy time without having to admit they screwed up!!!

Sbtpg hasn’t updated, transcript is still n/a etc etc but if there is an update tonight I guess I’ll see. My fiance had filed his taxes the same way and his order status is still payment processing.

I’m thinking we will see progress tonight. I was told by the IRS rep if I don’t get an update by Monday to call back. That just gave me a small indication that SOMETHING was supposed to happen between Friday (when I called) and Monday.

@sla921 cont. After several days, I called and was assigned an advocate. She called me within a couple of days. I sent her copies of my documentation and she was able to quickly resolve the issue. My DDD was on WMR within 2 days of sending my documentation to the advocate.

@sla921 The same thing happened to me last year – no insurance. I did however receive a letter and called the number on the letter. I sent letter stating that I didn’t have marketplace insurance and a marketplace account screen shot and I faxed them to the number on the letter along with their letter and cover sheet.

Thanks “AmericanGirl01” I sent them the fax yesterday with my 1095-C and a cover letter stating I am not part of the Healthcare Marketplace. I will try to call them at their number tomorrow not sure I will be able to get through. In any case, I am prepared to contact the TaxAdvocate if unsuccessful tomorrow am. TT stated this was a mistake by the IRS.

Still NA on transcripts. WMR no bars since last week TT152. Spoke to the IRS Friday since it was my “21 days” accepted 2/12. She looked into my account and said everything looks good. She said what happened was that I got resequenced so my new date is Feb.22 (which is also my as of date). She stated I should have my DD by March 15th. But if I do not, to call back on the 15th but she does not see why I would not. Hope this helps.

Got a letter asking for my 1095-A/8962 to consolidate Health Marketplace & I do not have insurance, nor ever had through the ACA. Never had. I have insurance through my employer. This is a mistake. Now, how am I suppose to fix it if they do not pick up the phone and there are all sorts of issues with the mail.??
This is why my transcripts are N/A.. Ridiculous.

The IRS will likely correct it themselves, before you would even get the amended return in. And they say amended returns take longer.

How did you access your transcript? Did you have trouble at first? If so what did you do different? I’m asking because I have an account but upon returning this year for the new tax season it made me reverify. It won’t accept my student loan account number even though I’m an active college student, two credit cards or my an auto loan account.

Well my bars are gone, my tax topic is gone, and it now says still processing.
This happened to me for 2017 taxes and it took me over 6 months to get them.
I’m pissed, I’m a single mom who works Monday-Friday 9-5 at a medical office, and I work 7PM to 7AM every Saturday doing HomeCare.
For once I would like something to come easy to me.

I do. IRS said some early filers returns were not looked at (projected) until 2/28/21 per the system and for this reason they still have not bee processed nor do they have transcripts for 2020 (N/A). This adds about 1-2 weeks to processing times.

I just wanted to give everyone here my experience. I have been NA on transcripts for 2 weeks, today that changed. But due to IRS site maintenance I was unable to read my transcripts till just now.
I have 846 for 3/10I have no bars on WMR and tt152 saying will be provided when available.
I used TT and had fees withdrawn so I deal with SBTGP and they have no notification of it yet.
Accepted 2/11 w TT, Pather, no look back, no rebate.

They checked my return my 21st day actually would have been 3/6/21. However, certain test batches they did not begin processing until 2/28/21 and these were apparently re-cycled
so it may take another 2 weeks to have access to the transcripts.Filing early as recommended was a mistake and I am not doing Early Filing ever again.

According to the rep. the IRS has 21 business days to complete the processing before finalizing the refund & later transcripts unless there are unforeseen issues i.e. id verify, offsets, or some other error correction, 21 business days is average processing time.

I spoke to the IRS Spanish Line. I was on the phone on hold 30m, & with the rep another 50m. Per the IRS although early filers “Test” batches were accepted early they did not start processing these returns until after 2/12/2021. It did not matter that I was accepted on 2/11/21 @ 946am, they did not start really until after the 12th.

Just tried to access transcripts and it says “Planned Outage” system maintenance. I will say it went down around noon today and has never been up all day. I did see earlier where there was a planned down time for the 7th. I think they turned off the server. My own opinion. We all became overwhelming. I don’t think they give the reps the tools they need to assist us and it becomes too much for the reps. Transparency would be nice but we all know the government is not about transparency.

I think the whole error thing is just BS so they can have more time. Multiple people on FB have called multiple times and got different answers from each person from the IRS.

I just got off the telephone with the IRS and of course my tax refund is with the error resolution team, because there is some kind of problem. Apparently there are alot of folks encountering this issue. The young lady told me it could take up to 10 weeks to resolve this.
IRS has royally screwed over tax payers this year making the majority have to wait to collect our refunds. This is so messed up.

I just got off the phone with an agent she was very nice. She said my return was stuck in “Error Resolution”. She told me this normally may clear up and correct itself on its own but because of being so understaffed, it is taking a few days longer for systems to work. She says I should check back next week and see if anything has changed.

I change my address this year, and my W-2 has my new address, and i file this year with my new address but transcript will only let me order 2020 account and return transcript using my last year old address. Do that means my taxes has not been completed?

She said I have to wait until after 21 days in order for them to fully access my account. And since the day isn’t over and the next business day isn’t until Monday then that’s all the information she can give me right now

Keep in mind that they keep a call log and the reps can see who you spoke with and what they talked to you about. The next person will most likely tell you the same thing as the last one for that reason. Unless you actually get someone that wants to help you.

This is beyond frustrating! Finally got signed in and nothing!!!
We got our state return 2/23 which was 10 days after it was accepted. Every other year we always get DD the day after our state refund. My husband called and got an automated message to call back next week? They really need to get their act together.

@whitwhit had no bars and n/a on transcript. Advocate said my returns was held up by taxpayer protection program. He did ask for both driver’s license,signed 1040 for this year and hardship documents. He told me he would contact me not later than 05/20/2021. I just hope it solvable pretty fast. I believe it is an identity verification issue

I filed 2/8 accepted 2/10, I lost my bars and tax topic around the 15th of feb. and JUST recieved a 5071C to ID Verify in the mail today. Took about two minutes via online. No update to anything other than “as of” since submitting taxes. Not even this letter appears. There is hope! WMR says

If i had to summarize what i learned from the call. She said being processed still for some reason. She didn’t state there was a problem, she told me to check back in next week. So with that i will wait to see what happened next week and call them again Wednesday if no update.

I filed 02-09-2021 acceptance date 02-10-2021 even though irs did not start accepting till 02-12-2021. 03-01-2021 I lost all bars and amount only have tt152 and the “still processin” message. As of 03-05-2021 wmr has not updated only my transcript has updated with 846 03-10-2021. Yes I am a weekly as well.

I’m sorry. I got one last year. I filed the second weekend in February. I got my refund on 28th of March with the help of an advocate.
The fax number is in the letter along with a “cover sheet” for you to complete when returning the documentation via fax. -

Just curious. How many of those with NA transcripts had filed with TurboTax last year and were delayed on their 2nd stimulus payment?
My cycle code is normally 05, but for my 2nd stimulus payment it was 02. I wonder if we are being recycled back to our 05 and that is why Monday we updated to the “Still being processed” message.

Why me yet screwed again frankly you and your uncle dont know anything more than any of us and we all have different situations, some people have had the tt 152 one day then lost it and got a refund or even had it come and go more than once and then there is people with tt 152 who have recieved review or I’d verify letters.

So, I finally called the tax advocate # and was told it was because my 1095 wasn’t completed. Turbo Tax never asked me ANYTHING about my health insurance. I still haven’t received the letter you would normally receive because if this error. Tax advocate gave me the fax number and I just sent it in. PRAYING this gets it moving.

Received a 4464c letter that they were reviewing and I just needed to wait. Are they sending out a lot of these?
I looked back over my return and nothing is wrong. I had to verify ID for 2019 taxes and just got that refund. I did claim the Recovery Rebate as I didnt get either stimulus check.

Well it doesn’t tell me I have the wrong info anymore but still no bars and n/a on transcripts. I am hoping we see positive movement overnight or it’s another week of waiting again, can never get a consistent answer from irs so really don’t know what to believe is going on. Accepted 2/12/2021 no bars 2/26 I was hot mad not to see any bars again today. I spoke to them this morning and the IRS agent said they didnt started processing returns until 2/12/2021, that I am still in the time frame, and if I dont see any updates by Monday March 8, 2021 to call them.

I would not hang on any words told by the IRS. Many call center agents are not direct employees of IRS and are seasonal. Many of them are just answering phones, and we can tell from the inconsistency of the answers we are all receiving, for basically the same scenario, that the IRS is not very cohesive right now.
I am in the same boat and annoyed with the lack of answers regarding a true status, and date of resolution. This absolutely sucks.

Filed 2/24…….Pather, plus recovery for no stimulus for child…….received a DDD this morning when waking up. Last year I filed early, before they started processing Pathers and got resequenced. This year I waited till after they started processing Pathers and I think it may have been the better idea. Got mine processed and done within a week. I’m thinking it’s something to do with their system and for filers who file before Pathers start getting processed.

I also have N/A on my transcripts for 2020. I think this look back thing is causing major issues, because I have always been able to view my transcripts online and with code 846 and the deposit date. This tax season is so screwed up for refunds with all the delays.
My refund was accepted on 2/12 and have been stuck at one bar the whole time with no movement at all with topic 152.

My contact at the senate office contacted me today on an update: The Tax advocate said my return was flagged by the irs for possible identity theft which is a false positive. I submitted to the advocate driver’s license copies, hardship documents . Said he would get back to my senator representative on or before 03/20/2021. Am just hoping Irs resolve my case before update on wednesday.

Well I just called IRS and waited 45 minutes and he was a total asshole. Tried to explain my situation that I have 4 dates from Jan 17th, Feb 12, Feb 24th and 25th saying when it was accepted or started processing and he cut me off and said he can’t do anything to help me. If I don’t see anything by March 5th then to call back. WMR updated this morning for me no bars and still processing refund date posted when available. I’m kinda pissed off.

I read on another site that returns that were accepted early from 2/10-2/11 should not have gone through and that IRS is working to get these claims processed by the end of this week including those that were resequenced to the as of 3/15 date on their transcript so hopefully this is the case and we will see movement soon. It’s the best info. I’ve come across to explain the huge number of 2/10 and 2/11 unprocessed returns.

@Nettie the as of date is usually 18 days after the last time they looked at your account. Probably when they looked at it for the last stimulus information. That is why it is upsetting most of us that filed and accepted around 2/12. It means our accounts are being looked at if this is true.

Made an account on the IRS website to view my transcripts. 2020 has N/A for refund transcript for 2020 and account. Only info is stimulus as of date is. 3.1.21. I filed W2’s, head of household, 1040A, adult dependent, and Educ credits. I have never had my taxes take this long ever. This is crazy.

Yep mines changed to 03/15 on friday. I called and she told me that my acct was in the error res dept with an error on their behalf. hopefully something will break for us this week. She told me that all of my taxes looked good and that its more of a computer glitch.

He said no the bars will pop back up if it doesn’t it can be a technical error with the irs system. She said they can’t confirm anything because it won’t be 21 days for anyone until March 5 (regardless of acceptance date…i know this varies rep to rep) but she said losing bars typically means you will get a refund direct deposit date within the next 1-2 days and that they are processing you.. even if your transcripts say N/A or not received. She said that they recommend not basing anything off of transcripts until after the 21 days.

Those with a 1/18 date. Are you the main person on the tax return? If not you might want to check your spouses transcripts. My husband is listed first so his as of date is 2/22 and his shows the stimulus. Mine is 1/18 and shows nothing, not even the stimulus. We are still N/A though and filed 2/12. I’m tempted to call the IRS tomorrow and check even though the 21 days isnt up until Friday.

In my previous years experience that’s the way I could see my refund was actually being worked on. Last year it never changed and I was put under review, didn’t get my refund till almost may. Hoping it’s not the case this year.

Got my state Friday. Still n/a on transcripts and 1 bar on wmr. I read an article that says the IRS has issued 48% less refunds compared to the same time last year!! It’s coming…just coming slow. Btw the Michigan state website had no record of my return yet they deposited refund.

My dates are 2/13,2/14, 2/19, then 2/18. My state taxes say they were released 2/23 and that’s not in my account either. Trust me..I feel you on the Love/Hate with tax season. They say some of us got stuck in a glitch IDK. I just know I am stuck in a pandemic and these companies won’t take this IRS excuses as a form of payment.

I have a question. I’m super confused. I filed H&R Block free online tool. Says accepted Jan 17th. Then text say IRS officially accepted Feb 12. THEN I check with H&R Block with their check my refund and it says accepted the 24th then also says the 25th. 1 bar WMR. Claimed credits. Received stimulus checks sent. No DD. Deposit into my chime account. No movement at all. Can’t access transcripts online. Can someone help me figure this out or is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Update: spoke to a nice irs rep lady yesterday, was told my taxes are on review and I should get a letter to Id verify. My senator office caseworker asked for Government issued ID for both my wife and I, past bill due, cut off notice of bills, eviction to be submitted by Monday. I hope this makes us get our refund. Contact your congressman or senator, I have used it once with immigration, and it help greatly.

Just got off the phone with the IRS. The rep told me there is a glitch with their system. The glitch is that we can’t even see the processing when we login. She said they have to login to see the returns. They are aware of the glitch and she said I am one of the people affected by the glitch. She said there is a completion date of March 1

@Shonda I was accepted on 2/12 and had an as of date of 2/22 and then last week my as of date changed to 3/8 and today it changed to 3/15 :( I have never had any issues with my returns or waited the full 21 days even. I don’t get an extra credits or anything. This year is frustrating. Hopefully we still see an update tomorrow on transcripts, otherwise we are in for another week at least.

With H.R Block paid fees direct deposit still N/A on transcripts I did file joint with stimulus credit. HR Block sent notification that I should receive refund by March 3rd. -
My friend actually got her refund on Monday 2/22/21, she has the chime card and filed eic and ctc, she was not able to check transcripts but her WMR still has not updated. It still shows received and on 1st bar even as of today. She filed 2/7/21 and accepted on 2/12/21
I filed the same time and accepted same day as her and have the same credits, I am able to check my transcripts and still have N/A and shows no update on WMR and still no refund. Hoping for update Friday or Saturday. -

I noticed the same code on my transcripts. I spoke with someone at IRS today and they told me it was a notice concerning the first EIP and that no action was required. My 971 date was 4/27/20. Hope this helps. -

I’m how many of us are weekly ppl? I’m hoping for an update Friday or Saturday. I didn’t get accepted till 2/12 evening. So I’m hoping because of the weekend and the holiday on Monday that it just wasn’t processed yet.
It’s frustrating watching everyone else get their tax return and not me. I’m PTSD because in 2017 it took me months to get mine. I hoping it’s not the same case.

as of date is referring to amount owed as of that date, like if you owed 500 last year and were paying it off still. mostly irrelevant, but usually it updates every few weeks or so with a new date.
at best you can hope that since its a previous date, maybe transcripts are also broken and not updating properly, but this seems unlikely.
personally my as of date is 1/18 so im praying though

No. Being able to order transcripts by mail does not mean anything for your refund. If your transcript isn’t updated they’ll just mail you a blank one.

The majority of people will not see an update on their transcripts until Friday. Some may see updates tomorrow, but it is unlikely to see them any other day. Not impossible as there are “daily” updaters, but most people are weekly.

@ Michael, That’s really curious, filed and accepted yet no indication that tax return was found. Sounds like the IRS and tax preparer need to be communicating to find and fix this problem as it seems to be this way with many who filed this year. Has anyone else contacted the IRS or preparer and been given a response?

Just a heads up. I called the IRS today and spoke to a person. He checked several areas in his system but did not see that my tax return is being processed, nor have the transcripts been created. It was pretty much blank.

I just spoke with jackson hewitt because of the transcript problem and told them the irs said they do not have a return on file for me. So the lady looked up my stuff and said they were being told that I was in the finding stage. They were just waiting on the bank to receive funds. That it should be very soon. Didnt work for me.. I typed it all exact and still doesnt recognize my car loan account. Also, it doesnt let you request a pin. You can request your transcripts by mail, which is paper form but it doesnt allow you to request a pin.

Mine is still showing N/A for the top 2. My account transcript did update today. It was showing as of 2/22/2021 with the stimulus payments and all of that, now it is 2/18/2021and the stimulus stuff is gone. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.

What does the “as of” date mean? Someone said it means nothing when it comes to taxes.. but I see everyone mentioning it
The “As of” date is an indication that the IRS looked at the account (about 18 days before the date they say). It has nothing to do with processing or a DDD. So, there’s really no reason to mention it, other than the hope that maybe it means the IRS is working on the return.
