Samantha, are you checking the refund hotline or irs2go app for your updates? The hotline hasn’t changed for me, still just saying they received it and allow 4 to 6 weeks, but the app updated a few hours ago and had a DDD.
I’m so mad! Still nothing! Was accepted 1/27 and no update or refund and of course nothing for federal either! Both my sister’s got there state refund and filed after me
Finally, got a DDD of Feb 22. Filed with taxact and accepted 1/28.
filed 1/23 and nothing yet. spoke with one person kept saying its entered into the computer here is nothing more i can tell you and transferred me back to the main number. i finally spoke with a nice lady who said i had no red flags & it should be coming soon, but MA is being effected by the IRS path act & since I’m going on 4 weeks I should get it soon.

Does anyone know how long until they finalize my return they lady said it was processed and is being finalized anyone get the same and if so how long
I filed 2 returns because taxact was having problems at first with my federal. I filed federal on jan 20 but it wasnt accepted for 5 days so i refiled both state and federal with freetaxusa. The result was that one of federal returns was rejected but the state took both returns. So as of Monday my status with MA was when i pulled up my account it showed one return processed and the other processing. Now after calling them Monday it shows 1 return and processed. However no movement since with a ddd. I just have a green negative number and I am waiting for something to happen.
Hopefully we see some movement this friday. Meanwhile Im getting all my paperwork ready just in case I get a letter in the mail.
I called today also and the nice lady said that everything was fine no red flags should be issued soon she said I don’t know when but since I filed the 23 rd and got no letter it should be soon by the way everyone just in case I had my girlfriend sign the form where she is in agreement letting me claim my son it makes it so there are no red flags when claiming your kids h and r block gave me the idea to do it that’s why I like dealing with humans so just so everyone knows I filed 23rd and accepted I have the green negative amount and I’m still getting the run around
Filed Jan 30th and accepted same day still nothing ma called and was told 4 to six weeks and to call back after march and the IRS won’t even display the status still getting the same message about path act
When I checked my refund status on the DOR site it told me I had a letter coming. I had everything together beforehand just Incase something like this happened. I wasn’t expecting it from state though.

I finally got my deposit date today. Supposed to get it tomorrow

I think ours are waiting to get looked at by a human being, so hopefully by next week we’ll have some movementThoroughly frustrated. Filed with taxact. Paid fees up front. Accepted 1/28. EIC. HOH. Still getting message that says they can not send anything out before today, Feb 15 due to PATH act. Never had a DDD. Hoping at some point today I’ll get a deposit. (Fingers crossed)
I ended up getting updated with a message saying a letter has been sent for verification. I have to send in a copy of my federal tax return, w2, last pay stub of 2016, and all the social security cards of every one on my return including myself. I haven’t received the letter yet. Once I send it to them they said 4-6 weeks to see my return.
I just called the automated line and mine is still processing! I was accepted 1/27! I’m getting sooo aggravated!

Last year i put the wrong routing # for dd and 1 of the reps (cuz I called a few times) told me their big days for pushing out dd are Wednesday and Friday so hopefully we c sum movement then…I’ll keep y’all posted
Also I know in prior years the automated Line would update b4 online and usually it would be in evening
@gaingreen, nope everything is the same except an extra 10k in income, other than that its all the same
I filed on jan 23 and then again on jan 25 cause first one was wrong. After seeing one processed and the other still processing for 2 weeks i called yesterday. It took a while to get through but the woman was nice and said that they would cancel my first e-file and i would have it in like 2 weeks. Sure enough today I have only one return showing but still green negative number. I am heartened by the movement however and hopefully a ddd tomorrow or the next day for me I entered all the control codes from w2s so hopefully no identity problems. the lady didnt mention anything about identity fraud or anything either.

I called today and it was a waste of time, she basically told me the same thing I know, its still processing, no letter and to wait 4 to 6 weeks. I asked her if it was because it needed extra verification and she said yes we’re trying to prevent id fraud

I was accepted 1/27 still no change on my status balance in green , I filed on the 2/3 for Rhode Island and was approved and refund is being sent out already idk why mass is taking forever to update i have eic with 3 kids as well
@george I filed 1/25 and still same green negative amount… I filed w/ Jackson Hewitt in office which makes it a lot harder to file fraudulently so I don’t know why they haven’t released my funds….
Soo I don’t Know what to think anymore filed the 23Rd January still same stuff highlighted in green with neg amount still says 4 to six weeks I call they say 60 days LMAO this is the craziest tax season everrrrrr
Finally today I see some movement – it’s been weeks. It now says Your refund was issued for direct depot on 2/16.

Still nothing for me 2weeks and a day have minus plus amount in green called and they told me 60 days gf filed same day and they sent a I’d verication anyone know how long till they issue refund after receiving additional info???
Or does it mean they start processing it again from start thanksNo method to their madness….I’m thinking they must be pulling random returns to make sure everything looks good if something looks off to them they’ll send you a letter if not they’ll finish and send did…
Did the following via Tax Act:
2/01 – daughter, HOH, 1 child, EIC, CTC – received DD 2/10
2/03 – daughter, married, 1 child – only extra was student loan interest – still showing as processing.
2/03 – myself, married – itemized on federal, still showing as processing.
2/06 – daughter, married, 2 kids, itemized – today had message of DD for 2/14.Im also still waiting, filed and accepted 1/31. Still getting generic message.

I filed on the 30th and claimed both credits and still no change on mass.gov, verification letter, or update 😕 Kinda sucks

Something tells me we will all see some movement after the 15th…I know some people said they received there refund and they have eic but I think the state is following the IRS.. MA used to have the quickest turn around and for them the blame it on a new system just doesn’t seem right.
I had my account go from the negative green to 0 on February 8th and when I log on it
still is showing as processed and no DD as of yet. I was hoping that there would be some
update today. Mine was accepted on the 27th. :(Just checked my netspend card and my refund is now available with a ddd of tomorrow good luck everyone see you next year
George I filed 1/27 although people say they update overnight but when I checked at 8 am it wasn’t changed checked back at 10 ish and it changed so I think they update all the time

My amount just changed from the negative green number to a 0 and I got a ddd date of tomorrow I have both child credits and eic so there is hope. Good luck everyone
Hello I see you guys mention a – green amount where does it shoes I got accepted on 1/30 but still shows processing doesn’t show a amount or anything. Can someone please tell me if I’m going to the right page mass.gov to check. Thank you
@justin you want there to be 0.00 where your -green amount is…that’s when they have released your funds for dd…the -green amount means that they still owe you that amount
Mine is negative green what does that mean mine says it was processed but still date for DD ?
I filed the 19th of January accepted 23rd still haven’t got my state no change in anything I got an account and saw the amount in green negative no messages no mail no letters last name starts with J any ideas when I all get return

@jessica I’m hoping it does I was accepted 1/25…still says being processed on the wmr and processed on the acct page with the green minus amount… I have eic…everything is the same as last 3yrs…let me know if you get update tomorrow and I’ll do the same
Filed state return on 1/27. Refund scheduled for dd tomorrow (2/13).
@Jessica…I would say you might get one in the morning when you check but now with the snowstorm I don’t know..like what Mizz Chipmunk said, we’ll prolly get our federal before our state at this point
My mom claims one of my kids has a DDD of tomorrow filed after me. I claimed another one of my kids filed 1/27 approved that night. Website (not account) says processing. Anyone think I’ll get a DD tonight?

@Mizz Chipmunk..I filed and was accepted 1/27 and my account hasn’t changed yet either. I’m thinking tomorrow might have an update/deposit. Last year I got it on a Monday at 4:30PM. I have netspend so usually get it before the DDD.
@Talsr..sometimes the tracking is a couple days behind, so even though it’s been issued it’ll say processing still for a couple days. When I got accepted it didn’t update until like 3 days later saying it was accepted..and it says 0.00 because they did issue it, your bank probably just didn’t release it yet. You can probably call your bank and they’ll be able to tell you if you have anything pending
I filed and was accepted on 1/30 and still no change on MassTax Connect. The refund amount is still in the negative and says Processed. What is the date everyone filed?
Green negative changed to 0.00. Where’s my refund still says processing. No deposit date or other info in tax connect. Called when this happened Friday, was told that refund was issued but I wouldn’t see it for a few days. Quite confused. Why would it say still processing if it was issued? Why would it change to 0.00 if it wasn’t issued? NOT liking this new system.

I got that message to it’s for the new law the path act for people who have EIC and/or ACTC they are holding the refunds until the 15th to try to prevent fraud@samantha I really hope so to buddy of mine claims 2 kids got state at 4am this morning and does anyone know why the status bar on IRS disappeared and got message saying check back after Feb 15 I filed Jan 26th
They update it overnight..I’m not sure if they do on the weekends, I really hope so cause I want my money! Lol

I got hit with the verification as well even though I have zero changes in anything. I got a letter stating I have to send them all of my w2, tax papers, social security cards, everything. So looks like I’ll see my refund right around Christmas time! There are at least 5 other people I saw this morning also hit with the letter so looks like a huge percentage of returns were pulled for verification. I’m really hoping it doesn’t affect my federal timing cause I was hoping for some money anyday. I had just talked to them on wednesday by the way and they told me nothing was wrong with my return and I was waiting for a refund so i wouldn’t count on that for those who were told that.
@Czarface…I don’t think it’ll be effected, there two separate things…I had to ID verify for my state last year and federal was fine

Well this now sucks. What happened to the 3-4 day turnaround on Mass State Income Taxes they had previously? Now 4-6 weeks. Nice.
So yesterday I logged on to see my status and of course nothing changed but as I logged off a verification notice popped up with no name or anything so of course I couldn’t call yesterday they were close I call today and the lady tells me everything is fine and I should get my return no later than next week. This year Tax Season is crazy

A few years ago we had gotten a letter but it was to verify that my son was actually my son I had to send in birth certificate, social security card, and marriage certificate.My husband is military so we haven’t lived in MA for almost 2 years. But since that’s his home of record (we’re from western MA) he continues to pay MA state taxes our last name starts with an R so hoping they don’t do it like that lol
I just got notice that I’m receiving a letter. My return is being reviewed for whatever reason. Unbelievable.
