So glad I’m done with this year especially knowing I did them all by myself and thought something was going to go wrong. -

Accepted same dayWent from processing to “still processing” on 02/22 and has been that way ever since. My mother filed on 02/15 and received her DD on 02/24 :( this is ridiculous. Same job and same dependents for years now. They’re super quick to take money out of our checks but keep delaying our refunds. I just wish their was an easier way of speaking to someone who won’t give you a run around and actually explain what is happening.

@joeschmoeThe PATH Act (“Protecting Americans against Tax Hikes) is a law that requires the IRS to hold refunds for filers claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit (not to be confused with the Child Tax Credit!) until “mid-February.”
I would think that taxpayers who files after 2/15 aren’t really affected by PATH, but maybe they are. Tax identity thieves apparently file returns that claim EITC and/or ACTC in order to defraud the Treasury of the most money that they can, so the IRS waits in order to ensure that more than one return isn’t filed per SSN. Now it appears to me that the IRS is reviewing many such returns longer in order to fight fraud and is making many of the filers verify their identity.

I filed 2/21 and accepted same day. Lost bars and info last Saturday. Stuck on “your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available” msg. Idk filing that late fell under the PATH. I never got a PATH msg on WMR

Path act is when you filed for Child Tax Credit
Or Earned income credit. I’m glad you have a ddd. Congrats!! Did you files any of these credits?-Mama B

I filed 2/21 with DDD of 3/4. Not sure if I fall in the Path act as I’m not entirely sure what that is. I did file EITC.
